@jashro44: rulk only truly beat hulk once, the others are PIS
I disagree. He beat hulk a few times and seems to me that despite not being as strong as hulk rulk is on his strength level. What has abomination done to say he is as strong as rulk?
@TheAcidSkull: Even still there are other characters that Rulk has been able to beat that I don't think abomination would do well against. He beat she hulk (who has also beaten abomination due to her better skill), He beat thor (granted thor was holding back but considering thor once 1 shotted abomination....), He made colossusnaut power up to his 2nd form, and he also beat abomination himself (yes he used a gun to finish things but rulk seemed to have the upper hand).
@jashro44: i know you get off my thread dude
This is an open forum. You can't tell people to leave a thread. Also, please put some effort into your threads. Where does the fight take place? Are they in character? How far apart do they start? Etc.
I don't think beating Abomination is a PIS, it's not unbelievable because the way the character is designed. Rulk is designated as a 100+ tonner upon introduction, he is slightly stronger than Abomination, but otherwise, pretty much similar in stats.
The reason he have beaten Hulk is because Rulk used his brain during the first fight, he beat down Hulk before he could get stronger than him, thank to his martial arts skills (Rulk have higher base stat than Savage Hulk).
Why are people saying modern era (let's say 90s+) Abomination has been written poorly? Is it just because of his death in Loeb's Rulk? Because if that's the case, it's hardly something to hold against him, especially when taking into account the feats Loeb had Rulk accomplish in that title. Was it being stabbed in the eye by Marrow or shot in the eye? Not a big deal in my book, seeing as his eyes healed quickly and it was clear they stood no chance against him.
I went on an Abomination binge quite some time ago and he has some really solid fights with Hulk in the modern era. While he of course loses them (only has a handful of victories against Banner), they were still giving him a fair amount of credit. Hell, one battle smashed through all of Manhattan before he lost. He also briefly knocked out Namor underwater before the fight carried on. Then there was the time he nearly collapsed his holding facility just with a scream. But hey, if people want to forget about the good ole' days where Emil was afraid of Hulk and even broke down in tears, be my guest ;)
@k4tzm4n: @Deranged Midget: Can someone for christ's sake provide links to the characters in the battle and versions?
Abomination from Chaos War and beyond should stomp Rulk, Classic Abomination pre-strength drain should also stomp post-energy drain removal Rulk, but jobber Bommy should get the crap beat out of him. Classic Bommy vs Energy Drain rulk would be a race of whether the 200 tonner Abomination can kill Rulk faster than he can drain him.
@Mirabel: @xxxddd: Abomination from Chaos War was amped, as was basically anyone who was reincarnated by the Chaos King. But even Classic Blonsky would probably smack around Red Hulk quite handily. At the beginning of almost any fight between Hulk and Abomination, Blonsky would have the strength advantage and even arguably, the durability advantage. What are people basing Red Hulk's superiority from? That he murdered Blonsky with a specifically designed gun? After Rulk lost the ability to drain forms of energy, Banner made a fool out of him. To add onto that, Banner's main reason for winning over Blonsky was due to his strength constantly increasing, Rulk lacks that advantage.
I think Abomination is unappreciated ... unfair to a character twice stronger than himself Hulk.Em 'Chaos War' your "master" said Abomination came back stronger than before, think back to your class standard 200 tons !
