Character Building:

Pick your side Humans or Gods and then pick a god or a historical figure to base your build around. 8vs8

The builds must be based off their historical/mythological inspirations.

Guidelines:

• Body

Limits:

• Multi-continental Level Strength and DC
• Lightspeed movement and reaction speed
• Durability Multi-continental+

Banned and restricted powers:

• No Instant Death abilities
• No unavoidable attacks
• No offensive telepathy
• No telefrag
• BFR only lasts for 10 seconds
• No attacking while Intangible
• Clones limited to 3 at a time
• No summons
• No Soul attacks
• No power stealing/copying/Negating however skill copying is allowed
• No Reality warping
• No probability Manipulation
• Regen can not bring you back from total body destruction
• Time Manipulation only on self
• Matter Manipulation can not be used on gear or opponents
• Gear follows the rules of powers and body

I'm confused, are you saying that people should pick a historical character and use practically composite feats of them in any media?

Like, no Humans in RoR apart from Adam & Lu Bu are actually special, even with those two they still require Valkyrie to even fight with the Gods.

Not participating in this btw, I'm just confused by how one would even argue for Humanity.

@faradaysloth: ok basically it's like this. You take a historical figure like for example lets go with Alexander the Great and build him out of various fictional characters so lets say something like this:

Body: New 52 Superboy

Skillset: 300 Leonidas

Gear: Riptide

Power: Sasuke's Lightning release

Are we just picking a character from the show then creating an OC from there?

Seems well within the rules and spirit of the tournament, but also pretty overpowered. LS with Precognition and Retrocognition is pretty hard to beat.

@Aristeaus: that power isn't allowed.

Sure it is, based on your rules. You just can't use time manip on others. Self time Manip for Precog/retrocog is fine.

@Aristeaus: ok just looked at the wiki and it only mentions aging people and stuff

@seagod: Does taking a body also give all the powers associated with said body or just raw stats and maybe regen? Like if I took a Logia from One Piece for example, would I also get access to the elemental abilities and intangibility?

@smxlr8: the anime is more or less a direct adaption of the manga. Voice acting is decent and the animation is hit or miss. Some characters are drawn really well while others look horrible. My opinion is read the manga

Hope I stuck true to the theme! I tried to pick characters with a warrior-esque edge to them due to Lozen being iconic for her battlefield prowess.

@seagod: hum but can't we use early chapters Yan sen whose feats are multi continent level. I mean others are selecting Asura who has planet to Multi planet feats.

I think some people haven’t realised that your build has to line up with your historical/mythological figure. You can’t just pick some random abilities and gear and slap them together

@lilgodperv: Yeah, that’s the whole challenge. There’s not much point calling your character Poseidon if they’re a fire bending boxer.

@lilgodperv: yeah you pick a real historical figure and make your build based around their life/myths associated with them.

BTW in which category would demi gods come in?? Would they be counted as humans or gods?

@lilgodperv: it depends if they ascended or not. Like Jesus, Heracles, Buddha are in the god realm but say Perseus, Theseus, Achilles, etc would be human side.

@seagod: Does skill set function as your characters mind, thus including intelligence, personality, morals, etc. or just martial arts/ tactical skills?

@lilgodperv: a quick search shows he just died and there isn't any myths of him reaching a higher plane so he would be human.
