Recca Hanabishi vs. Edward Elric

Don't know Recca Hanabishi, and haven't read FMA in a while but the battle seems interesting.

Just a rundown of Recca.

He's a descendant of a ninja clan, with the ability to generate flames from his body. That power is governed by eight dragons of flame that live within him, which grant him special attacks. He's already a ninja and a skilled fighter.

My initial reaction is to side with him because it does look like he is fast enough to blitz fodder. Both seem to be quite versatile but I think speed gives Recca the edge since he can create a fire sword for CQC. I guess Ed could shield himself from Recca's flames using his alchemy.

@jashro44: I wasn't sure who'd win this, and I hadn't seen a battle thread with Recca in it. So I wanted to see how this would play out.

Dunno, Recca is pretty damn fast and let's remember that the certified bullet timer in FMAB was stomping EVERYONE. I think the speed gives him the win here.

Dodging lasers. Here, he barely dodges it.

He then dodges it again, but with ease.

There was one in that Reddit thread of him dodging a fighter with superhuman speed with his back turned also. While I do believe that the reaction feats here are impressive, I don't think the give him that much of an edge. Chances are, he may be faster than Ed, but not to where Ed is unable to tag him. I'd like to think that his northern automail should give him the speed necessary to contend with Recca.

Seems like the RT was updated with more feats, specifically from the manga.
