Defeating OS is better than defeating Tempester, and Jellal would have defeated Jura with Sema without even having a extreme diff unlike Laxus.

x791 is the only time where Jellal is stronger than Laxus.

Natsu being above Mard Geer is insane. He tanked Natsu's strongest attack with ease.

?? He didn't dominate anything. Mard Geer tanked Natsu's DF attack and the latter was saved by Gray.

@legend9384: Jellal's strongest attack created an explosion larger than mountains and scales above his weaker attacks that are also greater than mountain level. There's no proof Jellal's strongest attack is only mountain level.

Both are vastly above mountain level.

@necromancer76: But where would you put him though? You could probably argue that he's above Jura, Laxus or Jellal but those guys were all relative to each other back in x791 so the gap really wouldn't be that big that it's really that big of a deal. Unless you think he's significantly superior?

@incursio: Not significantly, but I'd say he could perform a lot better against the Oracion Seis and Tempester (even barring the fact that his magic is devil-slaying magic). He has the feats, the hype, the stats, and the magic to do so

Don't know how Mard can be put above the dragons when they fought dragon slayers for an extended period of time while he was oneshoted the second he tanked a devil slayer spell and was hurt by non devil slayer magic. The only dragon to be defeated was Motherglare and that was by an amped Natsu in combo with Atlas flame.

He didn't take any serious damage but was clearly hurt by Natsu's last attacks. Even if you think he didn't take any damage there he was still oneshoted by devil slayer magic.

Sure, but the diference lies in what they can take before dying. Mard Geer was oneshoted by a serious devil slayer attack while the dragons all took multiple attacks and continued fighting:

(no scans for AF because his defense is being intangible but can provide scans for other dragons or even AF but those are all him burning the magic)

also no dragon slayer could defeat a dragon apart from amped Natsu with the help of Atlas Flame - the dragons are way bigger targets than Mard who avoided Gray's attacks like the plague and was then defeated when tagged.

What Gray did to Mard Geer, Erza did to Irene but worse. Irene could one-shot Atlas Flame and Motherglare at the same time.

That's true tbf, but Erza couldn't kill or incapacitate Irene who killed herself, she was falling at terminal velocity while Irene stood there believing she couldn't be armed. Either way Mard doesn't have anything that puts him above the dragons who have better feats and better showings and lost the first and only fight he had with a slayer type wizard. DF Natsu could temporarily overpower Mard and he sure as hell doesn't scale to the dragons at that point in time.

@diceroll812: He "overpowered" him for about a second before getting his head smashed in. Mard being = to the CSk should put him above the dragons.

Mard Geer only lost to a slayer type wizard so that point is moot. He was handily soloing Natsu, Sting and Rogue all at once.

Nothing is stopping him from using Momento Mori on both dragons.

People are underrating SIlver, the dude froze a city by accident, only lost to Gray cause he was going easy on him since he's his son.

What puts the CSK above the dragons??? Dragons as a species , are always portrayed as the top of the verse, future Rogue thought he could rule the world with seven of them.

@diceroll812: That's just because there is more of them. The GMG dragons are like, mountain level at best. CSK's feats of Meteor Blade surpass that. Mard Geer was untouchable without slayer advantage. He was pretty much doing what Hades did, but better.

Again, Momento Mori and the dragons lose.

Seven is a very low number to conquer the world especially if you think that there is various beings more powerful than the dragons.

What about AP??? If the dragons where only mountain level at best they wouldn't be only weaker than Mard Geer but also a lot of other characters weaker than both Mard and the CSK. Hard to compare when Mard was in is strongest form while Hades was in his for like 3 seconds before he was depowered (still scale Mard above him tho). He was also not untouchable, if he was he wouldn't have been pressed by DF Natsu even for a moment and he *does* show signs of being hurt by his attacks:

Is sent flying by a punch when previously couldn't be tagged without tag team + makes a "GUH" sound when hit by a knee (hardly the reaction of someone unfazed by an attack).

No relevance, just cool scan.

"GAAAAAAAAAAA" doesn't seem like the sound of a pleasurable experience at all.

A second "GAH" + saying "Not Yet" further indicates that he was hurt by the attacks.

That doesn't mean that DF Natsu > Mard Geer (all of is attacks where tanked after all), but he could hurt and temporarily overpower Mard even if for a brief moment.

Hax does not factor in your general tier of power but even if it factored is not granted that he would be able to use it on the Dragons in battle before being defeated.

1) Atlas Flame

2) Motherglare - was defeated by Natsu who only had a bit of Atlas's power. Nuff said.

3) Mard Geer - so weak to Devil Slayer Magic that he was getting stomped by Gray while none of the dragon slayers could even come anywhere close to beat the Eclipse Dragons.

4) DF Natsu - his strongest attack was shrugged off by Mard Geer.

5) Jellal - would have beat Jura with Sema imo. Can blitz Racer, Cobra or Jura with Meteor and soloed Oracion Seis, including Cobra and Racer who gave trouble to Erza/Mirajane/Natsu tiers pre-GMG.

6) Laxus - destroyed Raven Tail, beat Jura and low-diffed Tempester.

7) Jura - gave Laxus an high diff fight and was the strongest WS outside of GoI.

8) Silver - was trashing Gray but dude got one-shot by a stone. Lol.

Atlas Flame > Motherglare > Mard Geer >= DF Natsu > Jellal = Laxus >= Jura > Silver
