Raiden must hijack some nanomachines in Palp's lair to disable the Death Star. But The Emperor is waiting for him, and intends to take him down.
Round 1: Prequels Emperor
Round 2: Trilogy Palpatine
Which version of Palp's is being used here? At his height Sidious is generally considered to be the most powerful darksider ever (absent the Son and Abeloth)
So, film sections aren't even enough?
I knew Star Wars was complex like that, but I didn't know it was pretzel-twisty...
@gamejutsu: Oh yeah. Palpatine went through a few clone bodies before he died for the final time. (in the now 'non-cannon books) His story continues far beyond the films. If ya have free time (and unless you're a speed-reader you're going to need a lot of free time) check out Emperor Palpatine's wookiepedia page. It goes on for quite awhile but gives a really good run down on his story and just how powerful that guy really is.

Yup. That's it. I'm gonna have to make a MGS vs SW: Lore thread...
I mean, just the film's areas. Like, what's shown in the films, and what's fact in the films.
If I set Raiden on full power, what will he have on EU Palpatine?
@gamejutsu: Honestly... probably not a damn thing. Frankly... if Raiden showed power and ability, Palpatine would probably try and turn him into a minion... and if that failed... would kill him and be done with it. Cackling maniacally the whole time of course. For the record though, this is EU Palp.s i'm talking about. Aside from dropping the best the Jedi had to offer in quite literally the blink of an eye... and fighting Yoda to a standstill... the movie version didn't have many feats. Don't get me wrong... that all is pretty good, but in the books the guys a freakin' monster. Very few fictional characters are supposed to be as powerful and evil.
@gamejutsu: Still no. Palpatine toyed with Darth Maul (at Mauls most powerful) and his brother, Savage Opress who was supposed to be physically stronger than Maul, though not as skilled. Maul was no pushover, and Savage wasn't too far behind. Palpatine fought them both at once and it wasn't really even a contest. For Palapatine, it looked very much like he was just having fun and using the fight to get a little exercise.
Put Raiden up against Kenobi, or maybe Anakin and you got yourself a pretty decent fight... Palpatine on the other hand is just too much.
