Tarantino, good bye. I love his stuff, but it would most likely be a less heavy blow to the masses. Besides, his face is wayyyyyy more punchable.

I prefer Tarantino but he only breathed new life into the 90s whereas Spielberg made classics in almost every decade, including the world’s first blockbuster so he’ll have to be saved.

Steven Spielberg because of how much fun movies he produced. He's the perfect example of great filmmaking and "escapism" at the same time.

Losing Torintino wouldn't forever change film the way it would Spielberg. Tostitos are more his own thing and niche. Spielberg revolutionized film time and time again, from Jaws to Indie, to Jursassic Park.

I like Tarantino's movies well enough, pretentious as they are, but losing Spielberg would put the industry back by decades.

Tarantino's an arrogant little gobshite who thinks he's God's gift to directing. Spielberg actually shaped the industry.

Spielberg all the way.

Spielberg made so many movies that defined people's childhoods...taking that away... Well, being a kid is a special time and forms who you are as an adult. These movies are far more important not only to the industry but to people. Imagine a world without Indiana Jones, E.T., or Jurassic Park. Too much magic would be lost.

I would save Tarantino.

Spielbergs movies are good, but they aren't really rewatchable. Think the only movies I have rewatched out of his entire filmography are Saving Private Ryan and Jaws.

Tarantinos movies hold up even today. I fairly regularly rewatch them, and he has had much higher overall quality across the board. He also continues to put out fantastic movies, where Spielberg has failed in that regard.

Hell, its been 20 years since Spielberg made a decent movie.

Pound for Pound Tarantino murders Spielberg.

Jurassic Park still holds up...and watched the hell out of that as a kid. I can watch Indie right now. I was actually thinking about it b/c of this thread.

Tarantino needs the right mood, IMO. It's too edgy/dark. Nothing is super rewatchable when in just a casual mood. Kill Bill too long. Inglorious Bastards too heavy.

Different tastes.
