Punisher vs Green Arrow

I think this is evenly matched. What do you think ?

This is a one on one fight to the death.

I think The Punisher would silently kill Green Arrow at night just as a warm up before going to a real mission. Length of the action, one page to one and a half.

To me, this comes down to three things, "Distance", "First Person to Spot the Other", and "First Shot". If they both start facing each other and ready to fight, it'll come down to first shot. If it's a distance fight, whoever spots the other first will win. So to me, 50/50 here.

Well what Green arrow is this new 52 or pre 52 ? if pre 52 I think Green arrow could win in the right setting. Green arrow would have better gear but this is a who slips up first battle. In a fist fight I will say Frank but in a full gear battle with any setting with cover I going with Green Arrow because a trick shot that will bank all over and end up wounding Frank so Green Arrow can kill him

But yeah Frank kills him in pretty much any realistic scenario. Military training and decades of perfecting it beat stuck on an island and teaching yourself.

First things first. Punisher beating Spiderman, Wolverine, and Sentry is PIS. He is wholly outclassed in terms of speed, agility, and durability in all cases. The most popular post of Punisher shooting Logan's face off comes from Mark Waid, a man who hates Wolverine as a character. Look at Earth X for a total waste of a main ticket character.

Daredevil and Punisher have a creative rivalry that is stunning in its spitefulness. DD writers have had Punisher shooting jaywalkers and teenage kids who have thrown away their guns and dropped to their knees to surrender. In comparison, Punisher writers make Matt Murdock look like a clownish chump,

But, in terms of a straight fight at peak stats, Spiderman and Wolverine sweep. And Daredevil should take a solid majority of their fights 7-7.5/10.

But, who would win a fight between Green Arrow and Punisher?

Agility goes to Oliver due to better and lighter armor.

Intelligence is a tie.

Strength is likely in favor of Frank, but irrelevant.

Stamina is Punisher.

Damage output is Punisher,

Accuracy and marksmanship is Oliver.

Durability goes to Punisher.

Technology and network is a tie. Both have a wide network of people to provide intel on missions.

I have a lot of issues with Punisher's methods, and that may color some of my opinions on his title, but he is the person with the greater edge in this fight. Green Arrow is not fast enough to avoid getting hit at midrange, or have the skills to win CQC. Oliver actually has the means to win a snipe match against Punisher from his canon feats in old and new 52. If Frank comes close enough to killing him, Green Arrow has and will cross the line Batman trained heroes will not.

Frank wins close quarters 7/10. Under 20 yards

Frank wins mid range 11/20. 20-150 yards.

Oliver wins long range 7/10. Long range is over 150 yards

This comes down to how this fight ends. Close quarters 40%. Mid range 25%. Long range 35%.

Hence Frank wins (.28+11/80+21/200) or less than 5.5/10. Yeah, I used some algebra and probability theory. To justify much comic book reasoning.

Ollie wins. More skill. Smarter. Faster. Better range of weapons. Frank will have alot of weight to carry to match ollies versitilaty. Hand 2 hand ollie stomps frank

@senglord: Ollie outclasses punisher in speed, fighting ability, and intelligence. He has beaten Deathstroke, Prometheus, Constantine Drakon, Onomatopoeia, and Junior Diaz. Junior was able to kill Richard Dragon arguably the greatest fighter in DC comics besides Karate Kid. He even beat Solomon Grundy who is way out of his weight class. He is no pushover when it comes to endurance and stamina either. He beat Punisher in everything except weaponry which he can make up for with his exceptional stealth.

Ollie should win.

Giving this to the Punisher for sheer cunning and weapons alone. In terms of high tech weaponry, Green Arrow has some nice trick arrows, but fail in comparison to the amount of weapons Frank has been hoarding, like pym particles, goblin bombs and riders, hell even a symbiote suit.

It may be two years old, but I agree with most of this assessment. Personally, I think Punisher easily wins in H2H, and a shootout can go either way.

@lubub55: I said "easily wins". I didn't say "stomp". There's a subtle difference between those two terms. A stomp would mean it's over in 1-3 hits. An easy win doesn't necessarily have to be quite that one-sided.
