Punisher vs Bane

They start the fight close to each other. Punisher has no weapons. Who wins?

Well, Bane broke the bat under similar conditions so...

Bane breaks his neck and back. Punisher sucks at H2H combat.

Pfff, Bane stomps.

This is tantamount to "Punisher vs Bane. Bane starts in Punisher's sniper scope 250 yards away"

But if we give him a sniper scope, Bane should get a sniper rifle, too. I took weapons from Punisher because I don't think Bane has weapons on his side of the equation

Bane has venom? If not it's not that simple. I know Bane has feats without venom but Punisher doesn't suck in h2h.

@nefarious: I wouldnt say that. Frank has very good feats regarding hand to hand and his extremely high pain tolerance adds to it.

Some of Banes feats without venom are better than Bane's feats with venom, like casually handling Nightwing like a joke, casually ripping off people's arms and beating them to death with em, and dodging gunfire.

@ancient_0f_days I remember Bane surprising Nightwing and getting thrown around by Batman without venom. Frank has been shot and punched around by the Russian and kept fighting. Not saying he can outskill Bane but his durability and dirty fighting could carry him through.

@dimitridkatsis: no it can't and Batman has never thrown Bane around without Vemon, Bane has however done so to Batman, also Bane never has to surprise Nightwing to rag doll him.

Bane has had 500 bricks thrown at his face with no real damage....his damage tolerance is above Franks.

He is not an idiot, and he will leave the scene, come back with weapons, and kill Bane. The End.

@ancient_0f_days actually that's the comic I remember. Wasn't Bane standing behind Nightwing? I remember Batman owned him too. Don't know about that handling 500 bricks in his face with no damage, that without venom?

Actually following the OP conditions, Bane, post crisis or new 52, beats him.

He's got Frank outclassed in virtually all aspects. He's a better fighter. He's stronger. I think he is more agile given some of his acrobatics. The only thing debatable between them is pain tolerance. Both have ridiculous durability and pain tolerance feats.

New 52 Bane just simply out stats him.

@ancient_0f_days: I think their pain tolerances seem to respond a bit differently. I know Bane shrugs off bullet wounds, stab wounds, and can handle blunt trauma incredibly well, like the brick throwing feat. But Frank's pulled off insane feats. His fight with Daken had him with a broken leg, a hole in his calf, stabbed through the abdomen by multiple claws, stabbed in the chest, half his face clawed off, his throat slashed, and an arm cut off and he was still standing ready to face off against Daken with his knife in his one good hand before that got sliced off. I think Bane's body is just naturally more durable than Frank's, which contributes to his overall pain tolerance. I don't think the gap as far as strictly pain tolerance goes is that noticeable since they both pull off insane pain tolerance feats. I can see the argument being made though.

@dondave: I'm just saying Frank Castle because this is a (I hate to use this word) stupid thread. I thought Comic Vine locked threads that were obvious mismatches. Punisher, up close, and absolutely no weapons? Really?

Standing behind him or not, Nightwing threw a punch and a kick before getting flown into a wall. Batman never owned him, he may have won a fight, but he never owns Bane...in any case...

@ancient_0f_days well i wouldn't say that was without damage and don't make me open the box with old comics to check out Batman beating Bane in that issue he took Nightwing. All I'm saying is Frank has a chance, he took punches from Russian who's enhanced and beat Bullseye h2h.

@dimitridkatsis: You pulling out the box shows that you can back up what you say, the only Batman that ever got close to throwing Bane around was Azrael, the superhuman.

Bane destroys Punisher. Frank's pain tolerance carries him through fights where his opponent like to screw around before ending him. I don't see Bane doing that and Bane should have the durability to tank anything Punisher hits him with.
