I’m not seeing how he drops Wolverine unless BFR is allowed.

The main issue is that Prometheus has so much hax for a street tier that something is bound to KO/incap him.

@professorrespect: he needs to find out what before he gets sliced in two though

Given his skill and gear he should be able to keep out of Logan's range with everything on him.

Black Panther really isn’t even necessarily a street tier. He fights to the level of his competition. A few of these guys are capable of things beyond street tiers. But getting back to BP, he does things like, cutting off the arm of Incredible Hulk that puts him in a different tier. He also has magic weapons. He’s also the smartest one on this list. I don’t know everything about Prometheus, but I know enough to say he doesn’t beat Panther in a random, albeit, at the very least, not easily.

Sure

Prometheus still clears from the info I've seen so far

And I say he doesn’t. Unless he uses BFR, which isn’t a real win in any fight. TChalla regularly fights Doom, Namor, and members of the Black Order. He’s not scared of Prometheus.

@cheatcode: T'Challa got wrecked by Doom even when his armor was disabled but sure lol

Unless you are trying to say he's a mid/high tier by bringing up high ends then this whole "x faced y" logic makes no sense. You do realise who Prometheus is, right? This is the worst type of comparison you want to make with him.

He’s also outsmarted Doom and made him flee. He’s also beaten Black Dwarf without prep, and Black Swan, and routinely gives Namor problems. He doesn’t need to prepare all the time, Prometheus greatest feats are with prep.

And TChalla isn’t mid/high, he’s low mid. Prometheus better use his hypnosis (I don’t know if he even does this regularly) because all TChalla really has to do is land one lethal blow. And he better be able to counter enchanted weapons.

....once, and that was only because he purposely destroyed all Vibranium sources. Either way, means nothing to a non-prep fight.

He’s also beaten Black Dwarf without prep

Even Panther admitted he would've lost had the fight continued, and we see virtually nothing of the fight either lol.

and Black Swan

Swan is pathetic stat-wise. Literally who cares?

Namor problems

With Spirit magic, and Namor was actively inviting Panther to beat him up without resistance. Again, the context makes your feat non-impressive.

Prometheus greatest feats are with prep

.....not really. He just researches prior to the fact and brings in gear. Fact is that fighting off the JLA multiple times is a lot better than "did good occasionally against mid tiers" sorry to say, and he's been doing this all the way up to Rebirth.

And TChalla isn’t mid/high, he’s low mid

Sure

@professorrespect.

So Namor has invited TChalla to light him up on three different occasions? Yeah that makes a lot of sense....

And spirit magic is not the only magic TChalla uses. He has a weapon called the Spear of Bashenga that he calls to his hand, which can hurt enchanted beings and human beings. He can summon it an infinite number of times and it returns to him.

And Black Swan is superhumanly strong, cracking cell walls that hold Heralds. You think Thanos would have her by his side if she was a light weight?

Cite these other two etc

Cool

And Black Swan is superhumanly strong, cracking cell walls that hold Heralds

Which heralds

You think Thanos would have her by his side if she was a light weight

He had Skreet, Titanium Man and Nitro work for him respectfully lol

Yes, but Bruce only won after tampering with his helmet and giving him the motor functions of Stephen Hawking.

There was a third encounter where he took a blast from Phoenix powered Namor and got in his face, that’s all that happened. But he also stabbed Namor in another encounter. Which Herald? I can’t remember.

@cheatcode:Ok so we have a uncited 90's feat probably when Namor was weakened

We have the instance I brought up

We also have some other random instance that doesn't even seem like a fight

Can't really work with no citations ngl.

@professorrespect: Prometheus definitely had prep against the League in his debut, unless you don’t consider researching opponents in order to plan how to take them down prep

Do either Wolverine or BP have any resistance to something to like the neural chaff or disorienting strobe lights? Prometheus can definitely hold his own against them until he pulls out his hax.

Yeah, he researched before the fact and brought in gear, most of which he has anyway.

Definitely celars. Black Panther is the biggest obstacle as discussed above, but he isn't above other people Prometheus has worked around. BP's best hope is to end the fight very quickly before Prometheus has time to learn anything about his armor.

How is Cap going to do anything significantly different than Panther?

@professorrespect: he’s shown to be resistant to neural chaff and the strobe lights already, and can deal with Batman’s moves.

That was imposter Prometheus given the original wasn't around at the time of publishing.

Real Prometheus has the fighting styles of 30 of the best DC fighters in the world, not just Batman. Also add on the fact that Cap's exposure wasn't anything significant (literally less than a panel long) and that becomes a non-argument.

Isn't that more proof of this being the fake Prometheus (who at the time had been in circulation for far longer story-wise) in comparison to the real Pro then?

Well he says in the tweet that he by intent had it be real Prometheus but not knowing about the whole faker arc in the first place does ring alarm bells etc, even retroactively

There's also the fact that his intent at the time arguably wouldn't override the faker intent given real Prometheus only showed up back in 2009

No, it didn't happen at that point and time
