and that version of strange if i remember right was possesed by a power being and was highly powered up.

Haha, maybe, Xavier stands a chance, but only if he's more accurate than Bullseye...Strange Managed to mentally cripple Galactus... At peak levels, I see no reason why Strange can't just blow up the Galaxy strange is in, remove his X-gene, or whatever, he was a high end reality warper, Mutant gene means little to a guy that could hang with abstracts, beyonder, molecule man, in betweener, omega level mutant...who cares? if many times it's been stated strange can do vast things with a mere gesture, sure doesn't seem like that equals to taking time to cast a spell.. at his best, the electro magnetic spectrum, the laws of the universe mean nothing to strange, professor X takes on some guy who can bend metal and the brotherhood, magneto and doom thwarted by organic x men an FF, on 1 little planet, in 1 little galaxy, in 1 mere universe.. please...strange god stomped universes, if he was evil, the x men and avengers wouldn't come back from what he can unleash! he fights dormammu, a being on par with or higher than odin!

This is like saying who would win in a foot race, of course Strange wins.

Actually, in a bloodlusted fight, Xavier could take Strange. He's got way greater mindpower. He could penetrate Doctor Strange's mind. They're similar, though, with their mind bending powers.

Eye of Agamotto gives him a huge telepathic resistance, so I don't think X would penetrate his mind so easily. Strange wins.

Strange shuts his mind down with no more effort than it took for Emma Frost, a wave of the hand.

Even in a purely telepathic battle Strange wins and it's not that close. In an actual battle he just puts Xavier to sleep instantly.

Nothing has really changed. Xavier can't really get past the Eye of Agamotto's TP resistance, nor can he match Strange in a TP battle.

Strange has demonstrated he can resist high end telepaths more than once. He should be able to resist long enough to put a whamma zamma on Charles.

There is a lot of misinformation here from 12 years ago. Sheesh.

First off, Doctor Strange never beat Moondragon wielding the Mind Gem. She lost the Mind Gem in issue 42 of Warlock and the Infinity Watch.

Even if she did have the Mind Gem, she probably still would have lost becayse She sucked in using its capabilities. (Or the Mind Gem by itself, without the Power Gem, wasn’t as powerful as its hyped up to be)

Secondly, when Doctor Strange fought Moondragon, she was under mind-control of a clone of Thanos created to test Charles Xavier. She had first ko’d Strange when she caught him off guard.

Then, when they did fight on even playing field, he won barely. How do I know he barely did it? The very next page, he faints from exhaustion:

So, while Strange’s feats prior to this fight might hold up for him to make a case, the fight about “Moondragon w/ Mind Gem vs Doctor Strange” was heavily misconstrued back then. Moondragon fundamentally exhausted Doctor Strange in their encounter without the Mind Gem and Xavier ranks above her by feats in combat.

Make whatever decision you will for this battle, but the users 12 years ago had it dead wrong about this fight.

@addikhabbo: You replied to an 11 month comment. But how about beating umar in TP battle and casually resisting the mind gem, the eye of aggamoto resisting TP from adam warlock with the infinity gauntlet and casually prevented turk barrett with the mind gem from TPing him?
