Both have swords and no other weapons win by usual methods
Yeah but her morals are going to keep her from trying to kill San. I'll grant you the glider is big advantage and I wouldn't want to face a beserker Nausicaa(who killed one the Tolmekian royal guards in a sword fight, in the magna), but in character I see San winning.
Not that they would have any cause to fight each other in character.
I've seen all of them plus the early stuff. Horus Prince of the Sun is one the best and imo the anime equivalent to Seven Samurai. I really, and I mean really want someone to release Future Boy Conan to the US. I already have the Japanese Blu Ray, but it they don't have subtitles.
Diskotek needs to get on the horn, it'll sell like hot cakes.
Ahhhh Ghibli movies, truly the most underappreciated movies in the animated film cinema I have seen.
As much as I'm a fan I have to disagree with that.
Ghibli movies are far more well known than they were back in the 2000s. Even with the Disney deal no longer in effect every indie film circle I've been around acknowledged them. And it's far easier to catch reruns in the theaters than it ever was. Naw Ghibli's time in the limelight has come, and even the pre-Ghibli stuff like the Lupin the Third Green Jacket series, Horus Prince of the Sun, Panda Go Panda have all been given DVD releases.
Now if only Diskotek would release Future Boy Conan ...
Princess Nausicaä gets the nod/edge here from me. That is, as long as she can keep away from Princess Mononoke. In a close quarters melee, Mononoke is just a bit more savage. But if Nausicaä has her glider & superior tech., uses it wisely etc she wins.
I would agree with you more see the conditions of the thread: Both have swords and no other weapons win by usual methods
