Luffy and Kaido wins Whitebeard isn’t that far ahead of them prime or not. Roger was the pirate king and top tiers like Shiki could give him a good fight.

WB doesn't have the feats for this.

Also, Prime WB must be barely above Flaming Kaido who is barely above G5 Luffy, so duo have the advantage.

Prime WB could beat Kaido individually, but I think Gear 5 Luffy is above Gol D.Roger and Whitebeard tier now due to his Nika powers.

Should've gave WB a partner like Oden he loses.

With the way the current storyline is going I imagine we might have an answer in a bit. Definitely the duo though.

Primebeard wins this high diff. People are underrating the hell out of WB for some reason. His Marineford feats alone are better than anything Kaido has done. I mean Kaido failed to kill Kin'emon lol. Luffy isn't Yonko level either given that Kaido was fighting multiple people

Kaido solos and Luffy could go 50/50 with Whitebeard, this is a mismatch.

Whitebeard was getting injured by conventional weapons and couldn't even put down Akainu for good, lol. If Kaido replaced Whitebeard at Marineford, he would have solo'ed everybody.

• At the start of Wano, base Kaido tanked all of G4 Luffy's attacks, then proceeded to blitz and one shot him. Keep in mind that Luffy at this point was First Commander Tier.
• His younger self was also able to match a furious Oden, who was undoubtedly stronger than Act 1 Wano Luffy.
• He fought and matched Big Mom for three days.
• The Five Elders mentioned Kaido as one of the few people capable of stopping Post-TS Blackbeard, implying he would be able to clash with the Gura Gura no Mi, the strongest Paramecia Devil Fruit.
• Prior to his Hybrid transformation, Kaido fought Luffy, Law, Kid, Zoro, and Killer simultaneously.
• Matched Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun with his Shoryu: Kaen Hakke for a period of time prior to its decompression.
• Kaido also has all 3 advanced forms of Haki, something Oldbeard was incapable of using due to his sickness.

Kaido showed superior Haki, greater physical strength, durability, and combat speed, as well as more endurance and stamina. Luffy had already entered Yonko tier after splitting the skies, and was solidified further after unlocking G5.
