@redskull490: Not from what I've heard or seen
Hence why I said a No limits fallacy. And who says he can even get close to Superman?
@jeepeh: Superman is reflexes are supersonic. He was not able to catch those bullets.
@redskull490: Superman sees lightning in slow motion and reacts in nanoseconds. Try again
@tohoma: @themagicstik: @reaverlation: Try again. superman not faster then light. various scans prove that I'm right.
@redskull490: lol then your knowledge on Superman is lacking
@jeepeh: Superman is reflexes are supersonic. He was not able to catch those bullets.
I really hope you're not serious.
Clark is much faster then supersonic in combat - sub-light is more like it.
@redskull490: lol what??
In case you didn't know I'm actually very knowledgeable on Saitama considering I've read his web comic and current manga. You can look at my images if you want, I have a ton of his scans. He is without a doubt strong but Supes is simply too versatile to be taken out here.
1) Superman can fly
2) He can react within nanoseconds sometimes femtoseconds IIRC
3) He possess multiple abilities that can incapacitate Saitama (ex: focused microscopic Heat vision to lobotomize)
4) Ridiculous strength. (while Saitama is without a doubt strong he hasn't accomplished anything on Supes level yet such as moving planets)
5) The ability to raise all his abilities simply by sundipping
6) A FAR better fighter. Saitama's lack of skills was exposed when fighting Garou. The only reason he won was cause of the stat advantage (which he wont have)
Sorry bro if you hate Supes but he simply is too versatile

@unbreakable_fs4: @reaverlation: Not really...lol..
I understand why people hate superman, because fans like you. I consider me now a hater.
Yes, because why try to learn a character when it's so much easier to ignorantly hate him? For the record, Superman has repeatedly been shown to block bullets in all of his incarnations, one single low showing is not representative of his abilities.
Even if it was, the showing I'm willing to bet you're talking a bout is the one from For Tomorrow, where he fails to stop Equus from killing several Ex-Military leaders of a country. That entire sequence includes him flying from half a country away to get there, as well as having to actually search and find that location, which he does in the time it takes to bullets to actually go from the gun to the people, so it's still nowhere near slow as you seem to be implying.
Either way, you better show some feats to compare:
Currently, nothing One-punch man has ever done is even close that hit, or any of Supes' other big hits.
@unbreakable_fs4: Pre-52 Superman has never been shown to have the strength to move an Earth-sized planet. he was capable of moving War World with sundipping, but that's an amp and WW is only as large as pluto
@redskull490: also, creating a thread with an express winner in mind is both banned by forum rules and heavily frowned upon.
@dratini1331: I see, I must have the wrong incarnation in mind. I was referring to that instance where he and GL moved a planet.
@unbreakable_fs4: That was half and half, any they only pulled it something like 1% out of it's orbit. It's still a huge lift feat, but he can't move a planet on his lonesome.
@dratini1331: Hmm didn't know that. Thanks for the correction
@redskull490: Superman and Flash can move so fast that everything is paused in time. Pretty sure that's more than hypersonic...
@beyondergod: @jeepeh: @unbreakable_fs4: The pre flashpoint superman had help. He had green lantern construct, the other were martian manhunter,wonder man. superman never moving planets( just one planet). He had help.
Superman can only destroy small planets, durability is just planet level. In order for superman to destroy planet earth he needs eights punches.
Superman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter failed to move the Earth.
It was actually Kyle who moved planet earth.
Not faster than light.
Until we get a concrete speed feat from Saitama and see the upper limits of his strength, I'm going with Supes.
@redskull490: So Superman and Wonder Woman going from the Earth to the Sun to Earth again in under 2 minutes isn't FTL?Going from Saturn to Earth in 4 minutes isn't FTL?Or when Superman went from the Vega System to Earth in a couple minutes isn't FTL?Superman seeing the world in slow motion,seeing lightning in slow motion and reacting in nanoseconds isn't way beyond hypersonic?Clark throws Mr One Punch into the Sun
@redskull490: First-off, you should NEVER make a battle thread where you already have a winner in mind. Second, Superman can go beyond the speed of light.
Superman went from our solar system to another in just moments. Note that despite the fact that the time he traveled was not specified, the nearest solar system is alpha centauri. 4.4 light years away from us. If he did go lower than speed of light, he would have taken more than eight years to get back to earth. There has been no mention of him being away from Earth that long in the pre52. His longest stay away from Earth was one year and it was not this instance.
And one more thing:
i should call @powerwoman to defend superman.. LOL
@redskull490: Superman doesn't fly as fast as he can in an atmosphere because it would set it on fire.
@reaverlation: actually he saw the light completely frozen in front of his eye,which gives him a much better reaction than a nanosecond.
Clark reacting to the Swamp Thing's astral lightning form (300.000.000 m/s) (at least,femtosecond).He managed to saw speed of light frozen in front of his eye.Which puts him to the minimum femtosecond level.
@dorukesin: I wouldn't say Clark reacted to that. What's the context of the scan?
@jeepeh: @reaverlation: You have a point. Then why some scans state he can only go light speed. You are just assuming. Either the writers don't what FTL is, or he is marginal FTL.
@redskull490: There's scans posted already showing Clark can go FTL
@reaverlation: but other scans say different. I wish Dc would do a powergrid.
@dorukesin: that puts him in light speed.
@redskull490: If you want proof of Clark being FTL,ask @lvenger for the scans you want
For the record, Superman CAN'T go FTL in combat. He can travel at FTL speeds but that's travel speed, not combat speed. Having said that, he can clearly move at sub light combat speed based on his feats. I'll break down the basics of what Superman brings to the table:
Strength
Moves a planet with Hal Jordan's help whilst Starbreaker is moving it with his will towards the Sun. Even though it's a joint feat, I calculate that Superman was moving 3.3 quintillion tons in this feat
Striking Power has already shown to be moon busting level so I won't post any striking feats
Durability
Tanks Etrigan punching him to the moon
Tanks New Genesis and Apokolips colliding together and being destroyed to form the Fifth World
Combat Speed and Reactions
Multi hypersonic combat speed in one fight and reacting to an exploding baby in a nanosecond.
I'm actually intrigued by this match up so I'll stick around to see if any convincing arguments are made for Samita/One Punch Man.
@redskull490: If you want proof of Clark being FTL,ask @lvenger for the scans you want
See my post mate, I've just contributed to this thread.
@lvenger: Nice!I don't expect anything less from your posts :)
@lvenger: thanks i just got nostalgia.
@redskull490: What kind of nostalgia?
@reaverlation: I aim to please and all that ;)
@jeepeh: @lvenger: @reaverlation:
@redskull490: are f*cking crazy man ? He saw the light frozen(in front of his eye) from point blank range,which gives him a femtosecond or better reaction time.
Light is just a statue for Superman at his best,speed of light is nowhere against him.
there Clark said "Lightning appears to be travelling in slow motion to me" that proves my first scan,but he saw the lightning frozen from point blank range in the first scan
He professes that he can measure the time between nanosecond:
when GL slows time down to a fraction of a nanosecond, Clark sped up himself effortless and it didn't affect him as he said.
@dilichi1: Why don't you like superman? Saitama is a ripoff of superman.
@lvenger I wouldn't say it an impossibility for Superman to be FTL in combat. Light only moves 11.8 inches in a nano-second and as you know he can move faster than that within said nano-second. So if someone were to fire a weapon at him that travels at the Speed of Light, logic dictates that he'd be able to dodge it, considering he can move more than the 11.8 inches light is limited to.
