who of the main protagonists in shonen win
rules: no superhuman abilities, or strength/speed. no kyuubi. no haki
intel: none
location: chunin exam arena
mindset: all out
Luffy doesn't have a single day of training in his life, but his instincts are all he needs. He regularly goes move-for-move with some of the most skilled and experienced fighters in the whole world just through his innate instincts, they sometimes border on complete clairvoyance.
This is actually a pretty hard call...
in terms of training Naruto>Ichigo>Luffy.
In terms of instincts Luffy >ichigo> naruto.
so uh... Pick one.
Naruto is the only one with formal training in h2h. Top spot is obvious. Ichigo's major deal is with sword - luffy's experience wins him the second spot.
@princearagorn1: Ichigo has had martial arts training since a young child.
also this. yes this whole post was an excuse just to post that clip.
Bleach needed more of the Father, and Chad needed to become Ichigo's Zoro.
Ichigo is definitely dead-last no matter how you look at it. He was after all, just a regular high schooler who practices Karate as a hobby before gaining his powers. The fight between Luffy and Naruto would be closer since Naruto received proper military training as a child while Luffy had to fight for survival due to Garp being a major d*ck, but I'll side with Naruto due to better experience with weapon .
<-< Umm folks.................do any of you actually remember how broken depower Ichigo was? Go back and read the Fullbringer arc.
Ichigo's dad was either a strong captain of the gotei 13, the leaders of the death gods, or a member of Zero Squad, the personal guardians of basically god himself. He had trained ichigo since he was a child to the point that he was able to outright stomp multiple opponents his own age group. Some people in his town actually feared him.
Luffy has almost no skill feats without his rubber powers aiding him in some way. His entire fighting style revolves around those powers, so without them he's losing a huge portion of his fighting ability. Of all the contenders here, he's actually been nerfed the hardest because if he tried to fight how he actually does here....his arms would break. His moveset ruined, so IMO he honestly has no chance compared to people of equal stats who are more comfortable with the OP's skillsets (i.e. have h2h training with normal movement).
Naruto wins, but that is no suprise.
I mean, I don't know who wins, but Luffy's pain tolerance is too ridiculous for this fight, he could probably take a nap while the others beat on him without caring.
I 100% agree with your post. Although it is unfortunate you are one of the only ones here who actually has good logical reasoning that supports your argument.
You guys are making me laugh with all these "Naruto's the only one with training".
Ichigo > Tatski who got, I believe it was second, in the national female tournament while she had a broken arm. (IIRC)
In the anime he cracked roads with kicks.
He can break magic spells through sheer strength
He can tank being hit by giants
And this is BoS. Do I need to look at the Fullbring Arc?
I think this video does a good job at showing how skilled Naruto is.
(If I were you I'd mute the video)
@noone301994: I second the muting thing just trust him.
Just posting a few videos of Ichigo's life before his shinigami days.
And this clip is him after he had been depowered, physically he was much faster and stronger.
It is on 7:59 of the video. I believe Ichigo takes the second spot here.
Bump? I think there's a lot more to be said. I mean, Naruto definitely wins no problem. Ichigo in second place has a lot more training than people think, and luffy in third place has literally no training at all. Throwing him into a savage animal infested forest =\= H2H training or skill.
As for stats, well I assume the op means base stats in direct correlation to people of they age and build + training amount, since the op said "no superhuman strength/speed". So that would mean that Luffy has the strength and speed of an above average 19 year old male who I would say works out almost daily since luffy pretty muscular and no formal martial arts or combat training, Ichigo would have the stats of an average 17-19 year old male who leisurely trains in karate, and Naruto would have the stats of an above average adult (27-30) prime aged male who trains almost constantly and is pretty muscular himself + legit taijutsu/ninja/h2h training that includes weapon using as well.
So all in all, my actual backed up reasoning for why Naruto takes this is because his straight up masterful level of fighting skill (video clip someone posted above, fights pain in taijutsu, fights momoshiki in taijutsu, fights Sasuke in taijutsu, beat a dozen toneri puppets at once without being hit once or taken down even when five puppets alone could take down a confirmed Kage level taijutsu ninja beforehand etc.) mixed with prime adulthood physicals and gymnastics (agility/manoeuvrability) as we see dis man hopping around and flipping and somersaulting n' shit with little effort.
Lastly, because of his trainings in armed combat, we know that Naruto is pretty damn deadly (especially to regular humans) with his skills. As he knows how to use kunai and shuriken proficiently allowing him to cut and stab and ultimately kill up close in melee OR from a distance.
naruto wins that's obvious, however, I wonder how much would change if Ichigo had an average sword and Luffy had brass knuckles( literally no other weapon matches with luffy so give me a break )
@maxxcveiler: Adult Naruto the tallest one here tho lmao
OT: naruto
@maxxcveiler: Adult Naruto the tallest one here tho lmao
Adult Naruto is 180cm, while Ichigo is 181cm. Luffy's the smaller one here at 174cm.

So they're both in the 5'9 range 0.0
I was just going off visualization lmao
Must be drawing error

Well, Ichigo was always taller, Naruto only caught up with his adult version.
Also, that image is weird as all hell. Like, Hinata is 163cm, which would make both Boruto and Himawari less than 1m tall lol (which is probably ok for Himawari but isn't Boruto like 12?).
