Yes, his punch can. But it generally doesn't. He's powerful, yes, but I don't see him beating Darkseid. And I don't see him being capable of defending himself against the Omega Sanction. And neither are stronger than the Phoenix.
I don't think it matters in this battle if Prime's stronger then Darkseid or vise versa...Phoenix could get rid of both of them in a second, Cosmic Flames are not fun.

PC Darkseid is far above Prime. He would kill him in seconds. Soulfire Darkseid is also more powerful. To be honest, I think Post-Crisis might be able to beat him too.

Sorry but postcrisis can beat hank henshaw,agog,orion. harm the spectre,help blast apart imperiex etc.
all the characters named would destroy supes and then bed lois lane to boot. i find it hilarious that a batman writer(morrison) does darkseid more justice than superman writers.

Maybe you should read superman confidential,where you know orion oneshotted supes, doomsday loses to supes ,but beats guardians,JLA team(wally>supes,martian>supes,orion>supes,diana=supes)darkseid,some no name pantheons etc,awesome character is'nt he. in that story you mentioned darkseid destroyed henshaw and trapped him,maybe i should post scans of henshaw begging darkseid to release him. In that case, maybe you're just misinformed because of a certain user named Truepwnge. He may not be as powerful as he used to be, but he's still far above Superman. Don't let Truepwnge or his other 30 accounts fool you. He posts out of context scans and PIS all the time for Darkseid and ignores when we try to explain.
Darkseid has abilities that would beat Superman instantly but he doesn't use them in a fight because of plot armour. He is capable of teleporting him against his will and the end location could just as easily be the center of a red sun which renders Prime powerless as well.
Darkseid loses to the immense power of the Phoenix unless he has prep because the Phoenix has some terrible showings against technology, recently it got split into 5 pieces because of a gun Tony built in less than a couple of weeks.

Well, it is part of his character, and the poster did say "anything goes"...i mean you might as well say "oh superman and that yellow and red sun crap again?" if your gonna go that route.
