Pennywise the Clown vs Freddy Krueger

I feel the same way kinda. Stephen King tells Roland himself that he relates Crsimson King to "It", but all they have in common is being Were spiders (at least that seems to be the preffered form of IT). Other than that It seems much more powerful, but to be fair Crimson Kings had alot of the most powerful objects in the Dark tower universe, armies in the universes, and the schemes to pull it all together. It just wanted to feed and reproduce.

Oh and Pennywise stomp Freddy hardcore. Devours his soul in fact.

Freddy feeds off and is only powerful when their is a fear wothin an individual to work with...

Pennywise (besides being awesome and one of my favs) in his own words, "I'm everything you ever were afraid of. I am your worst dream come true. *laughs* I'll kill ya. I will haunt you then I will kill you all".....

Pennywise would be amused by his antics but in the end, Freddy is murdered here with the most of ease.

Depends on the manifestation of Pennywise. In his Deadlights form, this is a mismatch and Pennywise blinkstomps.

Pennywise's Deadlights form is a match for the Turtle who literally shits out universes.

Otherwise his clown form still wins.

Pennywise was my worst nightmare as a kid, Freddy was also scary but because Pennywise has the ability to become a person's fear he will win by making Freddy believe he isn't in the dream world. Then once he's had his fun he'll eat him, and conquer the dream world

Pfft, It is just another nobody. Krueger had the best overall idea for a horror movie villain, not to mention having THE theme song, what with that famous piano rift. Da, da, da, da, da...da, da da

Pennywise IS the reason i still walk AROUND drains.. Yet i can still sleep without a problem Freddy no ongoing issues..

Pennywise from the novel would clown Freddy (no pun intended).

Movie Pennywise would probably lose, though.

@hypnos0929: Movie Pennywise wasn't really impressive at all, tbh. His idea of scaring people is telling really bad jokes. Lol

Putting his face on the moon, turning into people's fears and loved ones, turning into a giant spider that paralyzes you with fear, shape shifting, reality warping, and making balloons full of blood float were actually really impressive

Yeah, he had some neat powers, but just didn't seem to use them as efficiently as he could have. In the novel, Pennywise was far more impressive.

Pennywise the dancing clown is only a form that Pennywise takes. Pennywise's true form is actually an orange blob of mass that takes shape of whatever it chooses. Pennywise's history dates back to before the creation of the universe. He is essentially the antimatter of the universe. Pennywise is also considered a very dangerous villain due to his ability to reproduce in mass numbers. When Pennywise takes his Spider form, he also takes on a female form of this spider. It feeds on childrens fear and creates more of himself, similar to a swarm of locusts. These it babies then grow and reproduce as well, until the world is covered in Pennywises, then moves to the next planet (hence his name "eater of worlds") The host Pennywise or mother Pennywise, goes into a hibernation state for 20 plus years, then awakens to feed and reproduce again.

Freddy Krueger, a dream demon, takes form of anyone's greatest fears and feasts on the souls of the damned, haunting the dreams of the innocent, and kills those while they sleep. I'm not sure how Freddy would hold up. Freddy not only has to take on the mother Pennywise, but also has to take on the entire hive of Pennywises. They may sleep for long periods of time, which will give him a slight advantage, but the sheer amount of pennywise's populating the planet would definitely overwhelm him

Pennywise is not a mortal human who dreams, can be whatever he wants, and can only be defeated by the help of the ritual of chüd, which can only be given by a god, so Freddy has no chance.....deadlights would devour Freddy in the form of fire

Pennywise was only defeated because a Cosmic turtle helped kids defeat him

It depends on the versions.

Pennywise is not a god. he is a primordial being akin to a DEMON.

at the same time Freddy's powers were granted to him by a trinity of dream demons. the very act of being a trinity made him a DREAM GOD

Pennywise stomps hard. I feel this was an unintentional mismatch.

If Pennywise is restricted to his Avatar form. Freddy wins. Assuming we are going off of the recent films. Pennywise was actually much less impressive than Freddy and far more pathetic when confronted with his weakness. They literally just called him names and made him powerless. All Freddy would have to is act in character and Pennywise's Avatar gets eaten.
