Ozai vs Ghazan

The battle between lightning and lava! Not done before, oddly.

Round One

• Fight takes place on the shores of Ozai's island home, morning
• Start 30 feet apart
• In character
• Lightningbending and lavabending prohibited
• Win by death [All rounds]

Round Two

• Fight takes place inside Little Ba Sing Se Mall, midday
• Start on opposite sides of the mall
• Lightningbending and lavabending allowed
• Ozai in character, Ghazan bloodlusted
• Unaware of each others special abilities

Round Three

• Fight spans the entirety of Air Temple Island, night, light rain
• Randomly spawned in some location atleast a mile away
• Traditional bending prohibited from being used for attacking, only lightningbending and lavabending [Can be used for transportation or defense]
• Ozai composite with Azula and Ghazan with Bolin
• Both bloodlusted
• Prep time for both

Lightning one shot

Ozai should win both. Going very strictly by feats, there's arguments to be made for Ghazan, but by repute and in-universe logic, Ozai takes it

Ozai definitely wins rounds 1 and 2. I could maybe see an argument for Ghazan round three, as his lava is better offense than pure lightning, but he's not really fast enough to dodge lightning spam, nor is he a powerful enough earthbender to block it. Overall, Ozai 9/10.

By feats, of which Ozai barely has, Ghaza. Annihilates round 1 and 2. The best thing Ozai did without the comet was attempt to shoot lightning at a talentless teenager and get it reflected.

ghazan stomps in 2, takes a difficult win in 3 and lose in 1. i only remember comet ozai's feats and even comet ozai would lose to lava ghazan after some hard fight

By hype: He destroys Ghazan each round.

but

By actual non amped feats:

R1: Ozai is nigh featless(he has just his training feats from The Search), and can't win.

R2: Well he has 1 feat more(but a pretty good one), he still lacks feats in defense, agility, versatility, etc...

So he would still absolutely loose.

R3: If you meant he gets all feats of Azula(and Ghazan all of Bolin), Ozai clearly wins(superior agility, general speed, almost perfect match up for earthbenders, versatility, his own lightning+instant lightning, etc...), especially with prep and bloodlusted.

The problem with him is the lack of feats(without comet), while he is portrayed as strongest firebender of his time.

Well this fight is without comet, but yeah that would be basically spite.

Srsly, are you maybe try to compensate for something?

Katara is stronger than Zuko, but the only reason for that is the lazy writing in her skill development.

Zukos skill development and training is simply 100x better written and believable, so to honestly use that as argument is pretty pathetic.

Projecting much? You just want Zuko inside you and can't admit that Zuko gets amped by day as much as Katara gets amped by night. Face it, he's a loser. Guess just's just your type :p. Base Zuko > Base Ozai in feats, which means he's even more of a loser. They can both double team you if you still want, though.

Although we didnt see much about ozai without comet, everyone fears his power. about his clash with zuko he was just surprised. and the power of redirected lightning Ozai's power

Without comet strictly by feats, would Ozai loose round 1 badly.

Could win round 2, but would probably loose. And almost stomps in round 3, Azulas feats with his lightning on top are way too much for Ghazan to handle. Regardless of Bolins feats.

But like other people mentioned with hype would he sweep through all rounds.

Well it is the combination of the by hype and by not amped feats strongest firebender XD, pretty bad for Ghazan.

Round 1 probably goes to ozai,we hardly see ghazan fight purely with only earth(except maybe against granpa zuko)and we have hardly seen anything from ozai in general,so going by statements & hype,ozai should win

Round 2:while ozai only got the comet fight for show of skill,his ability under normal circumstances could be deduced by depowering his attacks and taking them into account,with this and the fact that we know he is capable of insta-lightning generation from both hands as shown against zuko,while ghazan is capable of causing much wide spread destruction,and seeing as i think both would prefer to use their subs(i.e lightning & lava)this round is more like precision(lightning),against range(lava),its a tough battle,but if ozai's lightning is anything like his daughters it should have no trouble busting through rocks(sigh)(head hurts),i will lean on ozai though due to fast nature of lightning,although given the location ghazan could just as easily make the battlefield his own....

Round 3:this round is a stomp(¬_¬)..(ps i don't see ghazan gaining much from bolin,who he still far surpasses¯\_(ツ)_/¯
