@shepardoakenprime: not with these conditions I don't believe. There is a big difference between them being able to use internal attacks and not. Bloodlusted fights including these types of characters always ends up with people spamming synapses frying and exploding heads and breaking bones. So i have specified a scenario where they are giving their everything into the fight but without the trouble of having to end up with whoever shoots first wins, at least for a round :)

now why would you say that? This is simply a battle thread of 2 extremely powerful x-men that I like :)

Storm stomps because, at her best, her mental defenses are far too strong for Rachel's telepathy. On top of that, her elemental powers are stronger than Rachel's TK powers. She could strain Rachel out by overwhelming her with an elemental barrage, spin her in a whirlwind to shatter her concentration, or create thunderclaps directly around Rachel's head to shatter her concentration. No concentration, no psi powers.

I'll just leave these here. Yup, those mental defenses are way too strong for Rachel to get through.

Storm might have a better chance in R2. It all depends on who strikes first, and I’d lean towards Storm in terms of speed.

Ugh why do we still use that Gold instance? How is Cyclops able to break the illusion compared to an amped Storm who should sense something that isn't there a credible feat? The fact that it's from Gold already should have it be thrown out the window. Rachel's power level was literally everywhere and nowhere, Guggs ruined his own credibility. And no I'm totally not still salty about his bs run.

@shepardoakenprime: Not surprised with Guggenheim. He ignored x-canon like crazy throughout his run. No ones effective TP defense history came into play.

Yea! It makes no sense that an already powerful and recently amped telepath would be strong enough to get past the defenses of someone who's defenses she's already gotten past before!!! Wait...

Lol I kid, but Rachel was pretty much building toward this moment the entire run....Guggenheim is trash, but not for this.

This is where I have a problem, Storm gets dumped on the floor but Cyclops gets right back up, apparently being more defensive to tp than Storm.

Rachel is absolutely able to do this especially amped on an unaware Storm, but hell this instance just makes no sense. He did Rachel and Storm dirty in the end...I'm shocked it wasn't Kitty inTyke's place, that would actually be conanical in his run.

Rachel and Storm decide to work together to freeze the planet again to let out their frustration, that's how this battle goes in my mind. Their combined wills might make them more resistance to pis mind control :P
