Ego has fought Galactus twice that I know of. The first time he lost, but it was a very hard won victory for Galactus and left him weakened to the point that Thor drove him off. The second time Ego defeated Galactus.

I would say Ego most likely wins. However, in several appearances he seems to be insane, to the point that it also makes him kind of stupid, so if this is the case and Odin chooses to fight smart (which honestly doesn't seem to happen a lot), then there is a reasonable chance he could win.

This is interesting.

If we only see Ego vs Galactus from years ago and compare with Odin vs Galactus quite recently, Ego looks vastly superior.

Then again, once you look past that 1 feat, Odin has always looked Ego's superior and has far better feats.

Years ago, Galactus and Odin were thought to be equals.

@shootingnova: I was trying argue somewhere along the lines that you are. Unless we ignore the power descripencies of Galactus in the past vs Galactus now (he has honestly gotten a lot stronger as the time went on), Ego has very little in terms of feats to suggest he could take on Odin.

Just to add credibility, Thor was able to stun Ego with his thermoblast so bad that Ego felt humilated and admitted defeat (Thor #133). Mangog was clearly said to have been a greater threat than Ego, who was defeated by Odin (Thor # 155), Fantastic Four defeated Ego sending him to the sun which nearly killed Ego (Fantastic Four # 235), Beta Ray Bill defeated Ego twice during the same issue (Thor Annual #16) , World mind took over Ego and Nova Prime lobotomized him (Nova Vol 4 # 25).

His all other feat, as you can see, comes massively short of Odin, bar perhaps one of the weirdest feat (One Month to die # 1- 3) where Ego went on a rampage consuming star and was eventually stopped by plot, else he was going to turn himself into a Galaxy (which to me still doesnt make sense).

Once you look past 1 feat, its pretty hard to see Ego even as equal to Odin let alone superior. I would think you would agree as well.

I like the concept of Ego because he is theoretically possible in real life.

Tough call, people like to claim Odin is a Galaxy buster, yet he was pathetic vs Galactus. Ego on the other gives Galactus a hard fight, almost became a galaxy, yet loses to other high tiers somehow. Cosmic tiers are so pathetic :/

Lmao Ego stomps. Before I was under the impression Odin was actually a multi galaxy buster according to people I now know are delusional fanboys but upon reading Thor comics recently I know it's ridiculous.

Current Odin is a loser who was beat down by current Thor. Then got nearly killed by a group of Dark Elf fodder. And as of last issue of War of the Realms, needed an Ironman suit to be relevant yet still lost to Dark Elves again

Years before? Now aren't you silly. The fight I referenced happened 2 issues ago in Thor's current run. And Odin being beaten down by fodder is part of "War of the Realms" also happening right now.
