Cosmic boys on earth, Can the total Nova force all in one man take out captain marvel?
what say you?
I daelly he's talking about Rich Rider and Captain Mar-Vell in their current incarnations.
Nova is nearly a match with only a fraction of the Novaforce, now he has the entire thing and the tactical help of the WorldMind.
Nova wins.
Uhmm...WHICH Captain Marvel, and WHICH Nova? Both names have been used by many different people... :P

Could you help me out how powerful is he with the force. I'm a little confused. I'm not to sure where he is marked.

Most people put him at or above the high Herald mark.
Satyrquaze says:
"venom hybrid says:"He killed Annihilus didn't he?"Yup, pulled his heart out through his mouth."
And ouch.

I see
Satyrquaze says:

Actually he pulled out more than that.
Vance Astro says:

From what I remember from that comic. I thought Nova gutted Annihilus like a fish. He seemed to have pulled all of his insides out of his body.
darkzola says:
"Both using current incarnations in the MARVEL world."
so we're talking about a skrull, nova ftw
Nova for the win.
He is far stronger, more durable, faster, has far greater energy projection powers and has the advice of the worldmind at his disposal.
Mar-Vell wins.
See below him beating Thor
Knocking out Drax
Sentry telling Mar-Vell he's the only one powerful enough to stop him.
@spiderbuck: Every single one of those scans are out of context. Mar-Vell was amped by a piece of the Phoenix Force inside him when he beat up Thor. He didn't knock out Drax either. On the very next page, Drax gets up smirking and Marv goes "What does it take to stop this creature?", and he then spends the rest of the fight struggling to keep up with the Destroyer. And that last scan isn't even Mar-Vell ---- it's Khn'nr.
Read the comics.

I have the Secret Avengers issue where he beats Thor, but don't remember how Mar-Vell was powered up by Phoenix. I can try to find it, but likey will not, alright, so if you have proof he was Phoenix powered, go ahead and post it, no need to get snippy. And yeah, Drax got up, but it takes a tough SOB to drop him like that, as well as hold his own against Thanos. When his energy was overloading he was a universal threat according to the book, and the release of just a fraction of his energy into the negative zone created a star. No reason he can't drain Nova. I still say he wins this.

First Panel. "The Power of the Phoenix Surges through me"
That plus the fact that he beat Thor only after he was seriously wounded by the Phoenix in the first place.
@shawnbaby: Thanks man.

Shawnbaby already covered that, kudos to him. Mar-Vell has never held his own against Thanos. He has been one-shotted by Thanos, and the Titan is generally several times out of Marv's league. As for draining Nova, Mar-Vell has pretty much never drained energy from an opponent. He's used tech to drain Solam, but that was ages ago and he stopped using the tech after a certain point, and he's absorbed sunlight to replenish himself on a couple of occasions. If anything, people have drained Marv and nearly killed him in the process. Momentarily stunning Drax is something a whole lot of people can and have done.

I realize he loses this fight in the next panel. Still, a good showing IMO.
And the following is an example of his durability against Thanos.
@spiderbuck: He doesn't just "lose the fight". He gets one-shotted. The only reason he even lasted that long is because Thanos couldn't grab him. Once that happened, this happened.
Also, that is Thanos pre-at least 3 different upgrades.
Hmm I'd say Captain Marvel 6/10 because he seems to have more combat skill, Nova's shields are powerful but eventually they break.
