Mr. Fantastic decides to wipe out all of the heroes and villains with one hour prep using any and all of his inventions. Who can defeat him? I say no one.
No one can beat him
@mikemaximum: Just so I understand, you're saying Mr Fantastic with 1 hour prep is able to beat EVERYONE?

He will fail to beat Doom, like always. Doesn't have to get any further than that.
If that were the case then why has Doom failed to defeat the FF? Doom's win record isn't great and he's the one always plotting and planning.
If I remember correctly, this battle is basically what happened during the council of Reeds, so I would imagine that it would play out similarly. The Reeds were formidable, but not invincible.

Reed would learn from those mistakes and adapt. Trial and error.
One hour prep for each person at a time.. Or one hour prep for everyone at once. There's just not enough time in one hour to think of ways to beat every single hero and villain. But i'd say quite alot of heroes and villains could defeat him.. Especially if they just shoot him with the gun that seemed to turn him into silly string from Secret Invasion cos he won't have Brand to free him this time.
ALL the heroes at once? No way. He does have one of the Infinity Gems, so that's big plus for him, but one hour just isn't anywhere near enough. It often takes Reed days to figure out how to defeat one particular threat--which is not a knock to his prep skills, it's just realistic (or at least realistic in so far as comics go).

He has the ultimate nullfier. That made Galactus pee in his pants.

Doom has always and consistently gotten the better of Richards and FF at every encounter, considerably to the point where he could have killed them easily.
His arrogance was the only thing that consistently thwarted him and allowed Richards time to find his way around Doom's plots.
Nobody can defeat the OP? Go take that nonsense somewhere else, please. There's over a dozen of beings probably capable of doing this.

this.....
Doom solos and so the plenty of other heroes and villains, but for the sake of argument let's say no one can solo, you can assemble a team of 3 - 4 heroes who can take him on with medium difficulty.

Reed took down Galactus.

Reed took down Galactus.
Galactus was not specifically going after Reed. If he had, Reed would be dead.

thank you! It was Impressive but if Galactus truly wanted Reed dead I am pretty sure he would be dead.

The challenge isn't who can beat Reed but who can beat Reed's inventions and/or toys since that's what he'll be using. He alone controls reality with his yellow gem. He's as powerful as the comic writers.

No, Galactus underestimated Reed which is why Galactus didn't destroy Earth.

Many of these characters would defeat Reed even with his inventions. Telepaths could stop him before he even knew he was in a fight. He's still only peak human level thinking and reflexes, many teleporters could be on top of him and he'd be dead in an instant.
Tony Stark could disable most of his tech with a virus, and BFR him to another dimension.
Owen Reece would be the same as the telepaths, he'd instantly kill Reed. Same with Surfer.
Odin would do the same, before Reed knew he was in a fight he'd be dead.
Everyone on this list would have him dead before he could formulate a thought to use the yellow gem. It's not a matter of how powerful his inventions are, it's the limitations of a human brain compared to a person who can move faster than he is capable of thinking and reacting.

Reed would get an hour prep. It's not some random encounter.
Telepaths could not stop Reed. If Magneto can invent a helmet to prevent telepathic assaults, imagine what Reed could do or what he already has. Plus, I think he reprogrammed Cerebro.
Tony Stark is not as intelligent as Reed. Tony has always sought Reed for advice not the other way around.
Owen, SS, Odin, etc. would be wiped from reality with Reed's gem.
@mikemaximum:
Doubt it for most of those. Tony is said to not be as intelligent as Reed, but based on feats they are much closer than you'd think, and Tony has better inventions. He can BFR Reed relatively easily to another dimension.
Reed can't defeat Odin and them that easily. I don't think the Reality Gem is as powerful and easy to use as you think it is. I don't remember Reed every really using.
He has 1 hour of prep work, you are way overestimating what someone can do in an hour. Gathering the materials to make a helmet like Magneto's alone could take him the better part of a week.

How do you know if Tony has better inventions? Reed is not a hero as much as he is an explorer/scientist. Tony is primarily a hero so he's going to use more weaponry than Reed. What we already know is that Reed possesses the yellow gem and the ultimate nuffiler. Those two items would destroy Tony in a heartbeat. Tony has had some serious blunders including creating five Phoenixes because his invention malfunctioned.
House of M scarlet witch could probably beat him pretty easy.
If we start going into really high end cosmics like Tiamut, Imperiex-Prime and Golden Superman then Mr Fantastic gets stomped before the electrons in his brains have the time to move a Planck length.

*SIGH*
Reed has one hour prep. Do you think Reed is going to go after small fries like Squirrel Girl or after bigger threats like the people that you guys have mentioned during that time? What I am trying to get some of you to do is not think if Reed can beat them but if the things that Reed has access to can beat them with one hour prep.

Relatively certain Galactus has the Ultimate Nullifier back, you said Reed Richard's inventions. The Ultimate Nullifier is Galactus's weapon, Reed didn't invent it at all, so there's that.
Arguing Tony doesn't have better inventions because his inventions are better than Reed's doesn't make sense. If Reed had better inventions and was a better inventor, he'd have better inventions and feats to back it up, but he doesn't. Is he smarter? Yeah, he is. Better inventor, nope.
I would say Einstein was smarter then Benjamin Franklin or Thomas Edison, but I would say Einstein is dwarfed by them in terms of ability to invent and create devices.

There are 5 other gems. Tony has the space gem. Cap has the Time Gem. And Doc Strange has the Soul Gem.
