Fight takes place in an alternate demention nico already has her staff out neither combatant can TAKE AWAY any way for the other to do magic (zatanna cant take her staff or make it go away or stop her from doing magic and nico cant silence zatanna or make it so she cant use magic) MORALS ON for both combatants and in this scenario nico hasnt ever used any spells  winner is by K.O only neither can say knock out

@killerkool: Stalemated Damien Hellstorm, depowered and almost killed a team of superheroes(included Dazzler wielding mjolnir, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Medusa), has killed people using just a spell, unraveled them, summoned enough water to flood a city block, unmade a antimatter entity temporarily, and can heal herself. She also can reuse spells by saying them in multiple languages.

Honestly I have no idea how Zatanna would stomp in this situation unless she could survive any one of Nico's spells. Would be pretty cool to see some feats though.

@batvibe12: I do think she is overall more powerful than Nico, but I'm still not seeing anything that would make this a stomp. I would think that Nico could possibly take a few matches depending on who does what first and if Z mind reads people in combat.

@primez0ne: I personally believe they are equal in power. Both Zee and Nico does use "word" magic.

@batvibe12: Now that I think about it Nico should have better physicals since she was able to fight a demon H2H.

I'll take your word on them being equal. I don't know much about Zatanna.

and nico is by no means a weakling, she's resurrected the dead, kill people with just words.

she's more likely to go for the kill before zatanna , so she's capable of beating zee, even dormammu fears the sister grimm's power.

that would be kind of unfair, because as far as I read about Nico, she has no experience with magic, but Zatanna has tremendous experience (not only in magic but in fighting). zatanna is constantly placed as one of the greatest witches in the DC universe, so much so that villains always try to empower her in some way. also, she has natural magic (she was born with magic), the opposite of Nico who uses an artifact and without him, she doesn't have as much access to the arts of magic, however, even when unable to speak, Zatanna can write her spells or even think about them so they can work.

but obviously, if the two had the same level of experience, I think it depended a lot, because Zatanna always has cards in her hat (literally), while Nico's staff, he can interpret a wrong spell (and whoever said that Zatanna cannot tame the object in a matter of seconds?)

nico wins still. especially now as long as she has her staff she's basically an high tier reality warper who can oneshot characters like dormammu
