Meruem should win win ease, nothing short of Rasenshurikken would even put a dent on his defense and if he gets close he could easily rip naruto head of or completely obliterate him.

Sage Naruto is 10 of times stronger than that by a mile. The only good “strength” feat HH has is lifting a 64 or 67 ton door which isn’t better then throwing Choji in the several meters.
Naruto should win. All of Meruem attacks could be predicted by Naruto's Senjutsu. naruto on the other hand could spam his clones. Worse came to worst, Naruto will transform into six tails form.
The only attack meruem has that can maybe hurt Naruto is blast from his post rose form and that’s a tough maybe. Naruto has precog, a cell level attack, clones that should all be physically superior to meruem, attacks that can hit meruem even if they miss (people always forget about this), speed advantage, and summons that all should be able to crush him. Beginning of shippuden or the Kakazu fight might be better
Naruto has better feats and scaling. Meruem is often overhyped due to how epic the animation of HxH is. Meruem would probably have the advantage in taijutsu, but that’s it.
HxH being supposedly Massively Hypersonic is an obvious headcanon based on outliers feats, all the high levels of the verse scalle to those so-called "feats".

@alextheboss: How does Meruem have the advantage in Taijutsu? SM Naruto was tossing multi-thousand tons casually, while the only quantifiable strength in HxH is 64 ton gate that Killua pushed. Meruem was getting blitzed by Netero's Nen, which is only supersonic. SM Naruto has precog and invisible hits on top of all that.
People need to stop overrating HxH. Yeah, it's a great series and all, but it's extremely weak in front of the HST.
@woodward: Pretty sure Netero’s Ben was faster than supersonic. It was his regular punch when he was young that was super sonic. And yeah, SM Naruto is physically stronger, but Meruem was tanking thousands of strikes Netero’s Buddha, which was also stronger than him. Meruem’s durabilty and intelligence gives him a chance in taijutsu, but add in ninjitsu and he has no chance. He arguably gets beat in straight taijutsu as well, but a case can be made for him as long as he manages to tag Naruto.

@anomalous: The reason @drunkhc mentioned scaling based on outliers is because Cheetu's bullet feat is an outlier. So using that as a means to scale Meruem above him based on ant ranking is pointless. He never replicates anything like this and a few chapters/episodes later he couldn't break the sound barrier while running at top speed when he was trying to run from Potclean. I understand that Cheetu is a complete dumb ass but he even implies that guns are effective against him when talking to Knuckle and Morel which is funny since HxH fans always like to use this outlier and claim that he can statue bullets.
Another thing is that if he was a character who could break the sound barrier why isn't he shown doing it in the anime when running top speed? Pitou is shown breaking the sound barrier, Netero and Meruem too, so why not Cheetu? well obviously because he cant and the bullet feat is an outlier.
Here we see heavy emphasis that hes running really fast yet he doesn't break the sound barrier.

He's visually frustrated and states that he'll leave Potclean in his dust. The next panel that we see him in he's clearly really tired and says that he cant lose Potclean. To me this makes it really obvious that he was going his top speed, there's no reason to believe otherwise.
Also your use of Poufs estimation to say he got 3 times faster is such a loose way of guessing his speed increase. Pouf got the 15 minute estimate from Youpi (when Youpi said the palace is north). In the scan you used, Pouf says "If I don't hurry, he'll catch up to me!! 15 minutes...!? No!! At this rate, he'll get there in 5 minutes!!" the use of an ellipses with an exclamation mark and question mark, when saying '15 minutes...!?' makes it obvious (to me at least) that he is revising the previous estimate made by Youpi.
Even using that 3 times increase it still doesn't put Meruem above or even at mach 4.
Another thing people get wrong about Pitou is that she doesn't even operate in mach speeds normally. She's able to break the barrier when doing her JUMP but other than that shes actually slower than sound. The entire time she fought Adult Gon she did not break the sound barrier.
Pitou JUMP - When there is time visibly spent showing her legs swell up to a considerably large size with her going into some kind of charged up jumping/leaping stance, when these things happen she does surpass sound based on time-frames given and it's backed up to be supersonic as she also visibly breaks the sound barrier.
It doesn't honestly matter if you tried to scale Meruem from Cheetu's supersonic feat. This would only make Meruem low end of hypersonic at best (+Mach 5). This kind of speed is casual for Genins. On the other hand, SM Naruto's speed is in the 3 digit Mach with precognition.

How the anime portrays something is not necessarily canon and obviously not every supersonic character in fiction "visually breaks the sound barrier". Such a ridiculous way to lowball.
He's nowhere near as slow as people are suggesting
He's more intelligent and has a faster learning rate than the entirety of Naruto combined, Naruto honestly might as well have an IQ of 1 in comparison
And Naruto is going to run out of Sage Mode long before he defeats Meruem imo.
Only significant issue is Naruto's reaction speed, but again, his Sage Mode will wear off before he kills Meruem so it's kinda irrelevant, and since Meruem can fly whereas Naruto can't, he can just wait him out.

Chimera ants are different from normal humans, even without Nen they are superhuman monsters, the King is even more of a monster, he was easily tanking Town Level strikes from Netero Buddha with only scratches and even tanked his Zero point blank, naruto greatest physical feat in Sage mode was barely City Block and that was launching the Rhyno into the air thats it, when compare to his base form which is Wall Level+ its a huge increase.
Someone like Uvogin who is a fodder to any of the Royal guards be it in strength or overall Nen has Multi City Block punches, Netero being the strongest Nen user should be at least this powerful at min even without Nen his Bones and muscle are strong enough to crack Killua superhuman Bones/legs.
Jirobo has a 5 in physical strength even before Curse seal making him the 2nd strongest Pre time skip character after Tsunade in Physicals, even in post time skip there are only a few that even reach Jirobo physical stats in just base form. Launching Choji into the air in his 2nd curse seal state depends solely on how you scale the trees and how bad the pixel scaling in part 1, it can be a Large Building level Feat or much much higher. given the fact that Jirobo base power is only Small Building + and a 10x increase with Curse seal suggest Large building and Choji 100x from Base suggest City Block+, adding the fact that as an Adult in Boruto he has Multi City Block Feat in his strongest form is the best proof as much as scaling goes.
Jirobo is often look down upon but his physicals are very high tier in the naruto verse enough to even be immune to Shikamaru Shadow possession jutsu in just his base form, due note that even naruto during Pain arc only has 3.5 in physical making him weaker than Zabuza and comparable to Pre time skip Lee/base and base naruto while slightly weaker than Main Pain in physicals was still strong enough to hold his own till Sage mode.
and overall Nen is completely different from charkra, Enhancements are easier and better, via enhancement a regular nen user can easily lift hundreds of tons unlike charkra which requires high charkra control or a jutsu as help be it Lightning Cloak, Baika no jutsu, Sage mode, etc.
