Multi-Tier Tournament 2021

Now that CV is fixed, I decided to start up a new tournament. It's a pretty basic tournament, but with a little twist that makes it somewhat unique compared to other tournaments.

Here are your options, of which you may only choose one:

1. Pick ONE high-tier character and ONE perk from the high/mid tier perk list
2. Pick TWO mid-tier characters and TWO perks from the high/mid tier perk list
3. Pick FIVE street-tier characters and FIVE perks from the street tier perk list

Excluding perks:

• The high tier character should lose to a morals on Silver Surfer.
• The mid tier characters should individually lose to a morals on Black Bolt.
• The street tier characters should individually lose to a morals on Spider-Man.

No character can be beyond planet-busting (including physicals and powers) and FTL speed (so not MFTL, or beyond 100x the Speed of Light). With perks, every team should still lose a majority to a bloodlusted Silver Surfer.

That may seem like a lot for a team of 5 street-tiers to overcome, but keep in mind that what matters most are PERKS and TEAM COMPOSITION. Even a street-tier team can beat Superman under the right circumstances ;)

Rules

• 8 participants (can be extended to 12)
• 3 posts each
• 7 days to post (If you need an extension, let me know before the 7 days are up and I will allow you a 3-day extension, for a total of 10 days)
• Failure to post on time will result in disqualification and an automatic victory for your opponent
• Must have completed a CaV/tournament or have over 500 posts in order to participate

• Marvel is current 616
• DC is Post-Crisis/Rebirth
• Movie, show and video game characters get access to all canon material
• All canon and non-amped feats are allowed
• Standard Gear
• In Character
• No BFR
• Victory by KO, death, or incap only

If you a request a character that I am not familiar with, I will ask you to provide a proper RT or a completed CaV in which you used said character. If you cannot do so, I will not allow the character. No exceptions.

As a heads up: I'm familiar with most Marvel, DC, movie, TV, and video game characters. I am very unfamiliar with manga/anime.

If multiple people believe that your chosen characters are above the limits, I may ask you to replace them.

Banned Abilities

• Reality Warping (and anything that could fall under this category, such as plot/fate/concept manipulation)
• Time Manipulation (and anything that could fall under this category)
• Speed Stealing
• Power Stealing/Absorbing
• Incredibly vague or specific abilities that no one has a counter too. This will be on a case-by-case basis.

Limited Abilities

• Clones are limited to 10 at a time and cannot be amped.
• Summons are limited to 50 at a time and cannot be amped. Summons cannot be above MCU Captain America.
• Power copying is allowed but only on your own team

If you are unsure about any of the rules/limits, please ask! It is better to ask in advance than to risk being disqualified from going above the limits or breaking rules.

What's the stats limit for a high tier and mid tier? What's the maximum speed etc ?

Finally trying your strategy out, I see. For the purposes of a tournament, there's a very real flaw in it tho.

@geekryan: Im going off Black Bolt is Vulcan level who in turn is Gladiator level. With Gladiator as the benchmark Mid Tier team.

I'm lazy when it comes to debating fictional characters in a formal setting, ofc. RT's actually add something.

If you're choosing a high tier, you only get one.

Jean & Raven would both be high tier

I'm going to say no to Dr Strange. Base Thor is fine. Dr Fate, it would depend on which host.

Then no. His classic feats make him way too OP

I'd place both Vulcan and Gladiator above Black Bolt.

Warlock might be too much. I'd allow Mr Terrific but with only 1 T-Sphere, since they can be pretty hax and OP.

And for the adamantium weapon, it needs to be a melee weapon

Can you link a completed CaV or tournament match that you participated in?

Almighty would be too much from what I know.
