Rocket

Introducing the most badass space adventurer, bounty hunter, master thief, hacker, pilot, technician, mechanic, escape artist, linguist, former security officer, other things I forget and both felon and hero to the galaxy.

Abilities

  • Tactical Genius
  • Heightened Agility & Senses
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Weapon Master and Marksman
  • Claws

Standard Gear (Planetary Assault)

  • Jet Pack
  • Energy Cannon/Rifle
  • Side arm
  • A Few Grenades
  • A Knife or Two
  • Target Scanner
  • Interfacing Device
No Caption Provided

Firepower

Although a limit on weaponry is vaguely mentioned by the tournament rules, Rocket most likely exceeds all of them with his energy cannons and many of his grenades. For the sake of the debate, it can be assumed that whatever those maximum limits are, Rocket has the firepower to match it (and I’m not even bringing the big guns). This includes side arms as well.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5

Rocket’s space weaponry holds advantages of zero recoil and no ammunition or reloading. Only the heavily armored or opponents with advanced healing factors can hope to survive hits from them but even then that leaves them exposed for follow up attacks.

We will have plenty of time to get into Rocket’s skill with these weapons as well as his other abilities, but let us introduce his steed.

Indominus Rex

No Caption Provided

The Indominus Rex is InGen’s latest hybrid dinosaur. The Indominus Rex was created to be the biggest, baddest dinosaur to sell more tickets to the Jurassic World theme park. They succeeded…

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Abilities

  • Super Strength
  • Enhanced Durability
  • Claws & Teeth
  • Camouflage
  • Thermal Invisibility
  • High Intelligence
No Caption Provided

Rocket will ride atop the massive Indominus Rex to oversee the battlefield. The Indominus stands 20 feet tall and is 50 feet long. From this vantage point, Rocket can fire back at any firing at the Indominus and take them out. The Indominus itself is quite durable.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

  1. Ankylosaurs clubs can break bullet proof glass but doesn’t stun the Indominus
  2. Takes many rounds of machine gun fire as well as being caught in rocket launcher explosion
  3. Takes a few rounds from M134 Minigun

No bullets were shown to do any lasting damage (nor did the non-lethal electric weaponry I did not show). If you try to get in a gun fight with the I-Rex it would go something like this:

No Caption Provided

The strength of the Indominus is immense. And unlike its Tyrannosaurus predecessor, it has fully functional arms of sizable length (with opposable thumbs no less). Each finger has a long, deadly claw.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5

  1. Human-sized hands with opposable thumbs.
  2. Throws a man and kills him instantly.
  3. Smashes straight through a concrete wall with powerful claws.
  4. Effortlessly punctures straight through bullet proof glass.
  5. Sends a work truck flying with some big air time.

The Indominus is an incredible powerful animal. A close encounter with her will prove quite dangerous to anyone who isn’t invulnerable whether they have armor or not. But to get that close, you have to get passed Rocket, as well as the rest of the team.

Blue and Raptor Pack (x4)

No Caption Provided

Blue and her siblings were raised close to humans for the Jurassic World theme park. Much larger than their historic counterparts, velociraptors engineered for Jurassic Park are roughly 6 feet tall and 13 feet long. They were trained by Owen Grady to be a complete unit, Owen being the alpha and Blue being the beta.

Abilities

  • Fast Running Speed
  • Deadly Claws and Teeth
  • Intelligent Pack Hunters

Velociraptors are fast, sustaining speeds of 50-60 miles an hour for extended periods of time. With this speed they build momentum for taking down large prey. Odds are, if you are priced a 1 or a 2, a velociraptor is an issue for your character. At 3, mistakes can still prove deadly. Even at 4 and 5 a velociraptor or two should provide at least distraction and require attention.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

  1. Capable of 60 mph
  2. Speed, maneuverability and agility
  3. Keeps up pace with motorcycle for extended periods
  4. Ambushes a speeding truck and intercepts

Raptors are able to leap many times their height and length. They have razor sharp claws on their hands and feet as well as a strong jaw filled with teeth.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

  1. Leaping ambush kill
  2. Leaps high and long to hit a target
  3. Intelligence to break necks and can do so easily

The Basic Strategy

Atop the mighty Indominus, Rocket will direct his raptors to suit his tactical needs. Breaking them into two units, the raptors can be used to envelop or lure out opponents. I have chosen the perfect teamwork perk as well as ear pieces, so the raptors will obey all commands that Rocket issues. From his perch he will be able to see the battlefield and target opponents as they contend with or run from the raptors.

Rocket himself is engineered for fighting and is a tactical genius. He will use the raptors to their most useful extent and will not be afraid to sacrifice them if necessary. He’s known to set traps and ambushes, use subterfuge and use the environment or an opponent’s own weapon against them.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

  • Tactical genius whose instincts play out positively (Annihilation Conquest: Star-Lord #1).
  • Knows the ins and outs of battle instinctively (Guardians of Infinity #4).
  • Brain used to plan strategic invasion of 37 galactic empires (Guardians of Infinity #7).

Any shots taken at the Indominus will be pinpointed and responded to by Rocket with superior firepower. The battlefield consists of mostly shoddily built two story buildings and can easily be leveled by Rocket if they are being used for cover. The raptors will flush anyone out of hiding or alert Rocket to their whereabouts.

Anyone else who survives amongst the rubble will then be forced to take us head-on, which is more than welcome.

CRIMES AGAINST PETA

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

From left to right:

  1. Narancia Ghirga: Air support, will detect any enemies by carbon dioxide and will attack from the air.
  2. Engineer: Defensive firepower, will have tracking turrets strapped with high grade guns and rockets set up literally all over the map
  3. Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku: The legit reason you get stomped into the ground with ease. Basically the superman of street levelers and can one shot your puny dinosaurs with ease while casually dodging anything you throw his way.
  4. Toph Beifong: The backbone of all this, with mind link in play, we will also have access to her seismic sense which allows her to pick up on the seismic vibrations on the ground knowing exactly what is happening without even needing eyes. On top of outright controlling the battlefield.

Narancia Ghirga

Bio

I feel like these short 3 minute clips(if you are interested) will summarize his character quite nicely. Also put the hype out there for Jojo's Golden Wind.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXv-wW6MJZY(Part 1)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQU3t7Q9wj8(Part 2)

Aerosmith

Aerosmith is the stand he ultimately ended up getting when he was stabbed by an Arrow that grants stands and similar powers. Its a long distance stand that takes the shape of a small fighter plane that can go around bombarding enemies with bombs and bullets.

No Caption Provided

The user of the stand Narancia, is tough, but no tougher than a peak human, probably less. The only thing making him stand out is his pain tolerance and his reaction time. He is carried specifically by his stand in combat, which isn't a bad thing, but explains his point value. Narancia's stand was specifically used to stop anyone who could follow the team.

Red Engineer

Bio/Powerset

What happens when two petty brothers compete each other for a plot of land for a century, and try to outlast each other via the secret of immortality? Well bloodshed, a bullet to the head, and a bunch of scummy misfits generally killing each other. Engineer was one of those misfits, he built turrets, teleporters, and was the engineer who built a device to prolong life. In other words, he builds stuff.

Izuku Midoriya

Bio

The one thing I love in fiction the most is inheritance, not being born with a specific power or skill, or being born learning a particular skillset, earning the right to learn of gain that skillset is what separates a spoiled brat and a hard worker. Izuku Midoriya has proven that by showing All Might a glimpse of what it means to be a hero..... BY BEING AN ABSOLUTE MADMAN

General Powerset

He has one other power too, but I won't get into it until he gets more feats with it.

Toph Beifong

Bio

She trained Avatar Aang and ultimately taught him how to earthbend which allowed him to beat the fire nation dictator who planned on conquering the world, Fire Lord Ozai. She is renown as the world's greatest earthebender and the creator of metalbending.

Powerset

Strategy and The Capabilities of My Team

Main Phase/Prep

First things first, Engineer is going to set up all kinds of goodies for the team. First Dispensers.

No Caption Provided

They heal you with similar technology to Medic's healing gun, anybody with guns and the like can reload(so only the Engineer and the Swat Soldiers) Here's a video on the dispeners, you do not need to watch the entire thing. Maybe just watch the first two minutes.

Next the Sentry Guns

Here's a video showcasing how good these things are.

Auto tracking, has missiles, and a solid firing rate. These turrets will be set along the entire route, meaning you will deal with them at every corner and turn.

And to wrap things up for now, he has teleporters. Which can help up get around and catch up to our enemies in case they get manage to get past us, or if we immediately want to get in range of them. Most of the teleporters will lead to dispensers in case any of my team members need to heal grievous injuries.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbjVTuXnr1Q

Toph is going to help the engineer, travel from spot to spot to build everything he needs to in order to set up a defense.

https://gfycat.com/GoldenGreenAxisdeer

And she has gotten better at moving around so landing and whatnot won't be an issue.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Heck, if you believe she cannot properly carry Engineer to do his job, she could just metal bend the sentry guns herself with proper instruction or carry each one to a position of our choosing. And I'll argue its possible because this is how precise she is with Metalbending

No Caption Provided

Anyway, the turrets will be spread out and we will efficiently have them ready. And Toph being a metal bender, can make effective use of them via melon lord tactics, moving them around without breaking them, or simply lifting some of them on pillars from a high vantage point as soon as you get into range. And she has proven that she can bend earth at long ranges before.

Toph will have various giant boulders spread out across the map so that she can have ready to toss at your team and will have walls extending over the houses and buildings to obscure your sight so my team is effectively hidden the entire time.(it won't be that hard to create 10-20 foot walls) The turrets will be on top of buildings, around corners, in narrow pathways, and several places you will not expect. Deku will be hiding in one of the houses/buildings, ready to ambush as part of their respective phases of attack. The swat soldiers will be ready to flank alongside the team with Narancia.

Battle Phase

This is where things get tricky, but awesome at the same time. We will already know exactly where you are, so we will attack first, it would be easy to take out the fodder raptors in a single move.

How do we know where you are? Narancia and Toph contribute to this:

Now its time we talk about how seismic sense. How good is it exactly? Well it has good enough range to capture an entire city, perfectly like a picture to even the most precise details. Yeah, that's an entire city BTW. She either did this by immediately entering the city or by progressively going through it and capturing the city bit by bit, either way its impressive especially because she had a picture perfect memory of the entire map. We have prep here, so combine that with already knowing your position and we will have you exactly where we want you.

No Caption Provided

Here's some examples to get this across.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Senses, the very ants, and underground creatures, and senses a drill running through the ground.

There's also the several times during the series when Toph was the team's radar detecting following enemies, like when Azula was chasing Team Avatar or when Combustion Man was chasing team avatar. Here's how she uses it in combat, to give an idea on how fast it activates and how reliable it is.

The instant, the boulder touched the ground, she felt everything he was about to do, the next step he was going to take, the type of attack he's going to go for, all based off muscle contraction and vibrations being felted based off his movements alone. Even the slightest of movements can give away what you plan on doing next to Toph.

No Caption Provided
No Caption Provided

What Toph did to the boulder was the equivalent of a speed blitz, the instant he took a step she already prepared a counterattack that he couldn't even perceive while he was already moving to attack

Combining said precision and her speed makes for insane feats such as sensing and dodging more unorthodox speed based moves that most people wouldn't see coming, just by the guy putting his hand in the earth.

No Caption Provided

Aerosmith can track targets in a similar war to mosquitos, in that it looks for carbon dioxide.

No Caption Provided

Aerosmith comes with a Radar for Narancia, that he can use to track several people at once while Aerosmith hunts them down simultaneously. He uses this to even differentiate who's breathing heavily or not.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Best part is, mind link applies to everyone even my fodder Swat Soldiers. So they won't immediately rush into the fray and get fodderized by the giant dinosaur, nor the raptors.

Toph can easily send targets flying from below without them being able to detect her attacks.

She carries a lot of striking power in her attacks so a simple earthbending move should take out any of the smaller raptors in an instant.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

Aerosmith should be able to take them out pretty easily with a single bomb, especially if they are in packs. Here he uses Aerosmith to blow up

https://streamable.com/m1cqi

And you didn't say anything about them being bullet proof so swat probably can handle them.

So the initial attack will start out like this, Rocket and his army of dinosaurs will be moving about the town, likely splitting his forces to spread out and find my team, your raptors will likely get killed off by the turrets Engineer set up, immediately, Toph(while not within sight) will pull operation Melon Lord, and lift some of the turrets not within sight that were set up, and these turrets will immediately provide suppressive fire. Rocket will likely shoot them down before they can fire off too many shots, but in that interval, Toph will also send giant rocks their way, at the same exact time while Toph is starting out the assault, Narancia and Engineer in a good spot near a turret away from where your team will be sends Aerosmith to attack rocket and whatever raptors remain on your side. alongside the swat members. Not far from each turret there will be a dispenser to heal wounds(same tech that the medic uses) and injuries and restock on ammo so the Swat Members won't be out of the fight permanently.

Who knows how the battle will turn out from that point? All I know is that you are getting flanked on two sides, likely getting bombarded with bullets and rockets, and bombs, while you are skillfully fending them off, Deku smashes into the battle, easily blitzing your team through a wall from one of the buildings(you will have no idea where he is or the fact that he is on the team to begin with) flanking you from yet another side, and one shot your discount T-Rex with a building level strike.

No Caption Provided

By the time Deku finally rushes in, we will have you surrounded by turrets, you will be getting bombed by Aerosmith, Toph will be throwing large rocks or smashing you with pillars, and Deku will have the last say and one shot both Rocket and Indy in one go.

After the initial ambush which will basically happen simultaneously, the fight could legit go anywhere, maybe Indy tanks the bullets and rockets(based off your gifs he will likely be annoyed and harmed by higher caliber bullets but will have no lasting damage, but rockets and giant rocks with a lot of momentum should work fine), and Rocket dodges them(I have no idea on whether he's a bullet timer or not) and then he starts firing back, Toph will provide defenses, for herself and her team if necessary and Aerosmith like all stands represents the will of the user, so Narancia should be able to make it dodge an attacks that come its way considering it avoided attacks from Tiny Feet, who was deflecting bullets. And Narancia himself was able to beat the stand user in a standoff.(heh get it? Because they have stands? Ok.)

Deku is fast enough to easily dodge bullets from multiple shooters while running towards them while at only 5% of one for all. Deku currently wields anywhere between 8 percent to 20 percent of his quirk, meaning he's even faster than this.

No Caption Provided

Engineer will be chilling during all the chaos patting himself on the back for a job well done while cracking open a cold one.

As soon as your raptors are out of the picture, I have a hard time seeing how Rocket is fending off Toph, Izuku, Narancia, 6 swat members and several turrets surrounding him. Even if he decides to make a temporary retreat, he might run into another turret which will fire open them.

Summary

I know my post was all over the place, so I'll summarize.

  • Toph during prep will raise walls around the buildings so Rocket nor any of his dinosaurs, can see us through the windows of buildings and what not. None of your guys have advanced senses or special goggles from what I read from your opener.
  • Engineer's turrets will be set up across the town, on top of houses, buildings, around corners, etc. Some of them will be risen by Toph gently but at enough speed to surprise Rocket and Indy the instant they approach, the raptors who will likely scout ahead will be the first to go.
  • As they are dealing with turrets, Toph will start sending giant boulders their way to continue flanking(she can do all this without having to be in sight of the enemy) and around the same time, Narancia and the Swat Soliders will flank from another side as a distraction to take out any straggling raptors and to provide further suppressing fire on Rocket and Indy.(mind you Narancia doesn't have to physically be there, his stand is a long distance one) Admittedly, if Aerosmith gets tagged under tourney rules, based off his feats Narancia would likely die immediately,(its stats for durability is ranked C which is comparable to a human) but Aerosmith is fast enough to avoid any attacks Rocket launches at him and can easily run laps around the raptors.
  • Deku comes in last and finishes off your entire team all at once with his spiderman tiered strength and speed. Even if by some chance you managed to fight back and successfully kill the rest of my team, by the time you do, most of your raptors will be taken out and it will basically be Indy, Rocket vs Deku, and honestly? That's still a one sided slaughter considering Deku should be too fast for Rocket to even take aim at him, and he should be too strong for Indy to take too many blows from him.
  • We have the numbers, the terrain, and with mind link we will know your exact position at all times, and will know your next move thanks to Toph's seismic sense at every given moment. You lost the moment this battle started. You can sue us for animal abuse now.

Twenty Minutes Prep

First things first, Engineer is going to…

Let me stop you right there. I had no idea who this character was so I did a little research. In universe, what you are suggesting is not possible. According to the Team Fortress Wiki:

The Engineer spawns with a full supply of 200 Metal. Metal can be acquired through various means, including picking up ammo boxes, weapons, and pieces of destroyed buildings

Sentry Gun: 130 Metal to build

Combat Mini-Sentry: 100 Metal to build

Dispenser: 100 Metal to build

As you can see, you don’t have unlimited materials to make what you are suggesting without scouring the map for metal debris. Additionally, the dispenser and the sentry guns start at a low level, meaning the dispenser can produce less ammunition and the sentry gun has less firepower and is sans rocket launcher. At the start of the battle, you’ll have a Level 1 Dispenser and come up short 30 Metal for a gun of any sort (or a teleporter).

But most importantly, all of this takes time (building, foraging, upgrading) and you only have 20 minutes. Even if we go full NLF and say you have unlimited materials and make max level equipment, time is still a factor and it would not be possible to build the amount of items you are suggesting in such a short time, all of which are stationary targets Rocket can easily destroy in any case.

Heck, if you believe she cannot properly carry Engineer to do his job, she could just metal bend the sentry guns herself with proper instruction or carry each one to a position of our choosing. And I'll argue its possible because this is how precise she is with Metalbending

I’m not even so sure what you showed was a metal bending technique as much as it was an earth bending technique that rattled the bolts out of the tank tracks. Regardless, vibrating some metal is a far cry from creating a machined and engineered object that requires exact specifications to operate properly.

Toph will have various giant boulders spread out across the map so that she can have ready to toss at your team and will have walls extending over the houses and buildings to obscure your sight so my team is effectively hidden the entire time.(it won't be that hard to create 10-20 foot walls)

Without your turrets, basically you have created walls to hide behind. A wall that my 20 foot Indominus can pretty much look over, easily climb or simply slam through.

  1. Can climb 40 foot walls
  2. Smashes through concrete building
  3. Smashes through thick structural metal/glass aviary
  4. Smashes and destroys thick steel doors and reinforced concrete walls
Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

Not including that the *not a raccoon* on his back that has a jet pack he can easily use to gain a vantage point or peer over your puny walls. Plus he can just shoot them or toss a grenade and destroy them. The walls will also obscure your own vision and thus hinders you more than helps you.

Battle Phase

Deku will be hiding in one of the houses/buildings, ready to ambush as part of their respective phases of attack. The swat soldiers will be ready to flank alongside the team with Narancia. We will already know exactly where you are, so we will attack first…

Well, as above, I can see over your wall. Also, Rocket has nifty devices that locates life forms and even warns him of their presence. I’m pretty sure everyone on your team falls under this category. We know exactly where you are too and we don’t mind that you know where we are – a member of my team is taller than the buildings on the map.

Not that it is far reaching or could detect Deku in a building, but the Indominus can also sense thermal radiation, meaning anyone exposed nearby will be detected. Rocket also has heightened senses (sight, hearing, smell and even touch).

She will have time to do this now that she doesn’t have to help with the turrets but it is fairly pointless on a battlefield this small. Rocket can know the battleground in a glance from his vantage point. Toph’s picture perfect memory isn’t really a game changer here.

The instant, the boulder touched the ground, she felt everything he was about to do, the next step he was going to take, the type of attack he's going to go for, all based off muscle contraction and vibrations being felted based off his movements alone. Even the slightest of movements can give away what you plan on doing next to Toph.

So what about Rocket? He will not be on the ground. He will be either atop the Indominus or using his jet pack unleashing hell on the person throwing rocks at his pet dinosaur. Rocket isn’t kung fu fighting here either; he’s squeezing a trigger and pulling pins.

Again, this isn’t a martial arts fight and she isn’t fighting a person. Making little ripples in the ground isn’t going to even make the 50ft Indominus stumble and Rocket is firing plasma, not fists. If Toph is caught by the Indominus, she dies. If Toph is hit by Rocket’s weapons, she dies. Even near misses create explosions that she has to avoid and can send her off balance. She can’t be on the offense if she’s on the defense and the Indominus can close the gap between them at over 35 MPH.

She has to contend with all of this while tracking my raptors and orchestrating the whole fight with the rest of your team? She’s not going to have time to use her seismic sense while evading. Additionally, the mind link would relay character locations in regards to Toph’s location which could be disorienting and the information would take longer to process.

Aerosmith can track targets in a similar war to mosquitos, in that it looks for carbon dioxide.

And here’s the first target since its most likely first visible and first to arrive. I have to say, I’m about as impressed with Aerosmith as you are with my raptors. It also doesn’t really seem to be helpful as a tracking device. Aerosmith is wildly inaccurate (Precision E: Very Poor) and as it turns out, incredible weak to boot. Simply hiding in a car provided safety from its munitions and it couldn’t even pierce through a car seat.

This thing is doing nothing to the Indominus or Rocket (I’ll provide durability feats if necessary) but ultimately, Rocket blows Aerosmith out of the sky casually.

Now, I can go and post a dozen instances of Sam Alexander leaving his home at insane speeds to get where he is going. I can give you cross continent, to the moon and even to the sun in seconds (just ask). But I think a more telling instance as to why this is an amazing accuracy feat for Rocket is when Titus tried to do the same:

No Caption Provided

Not only did Titus have a heavy automatic weapon, he also was at closer range. Sam can be seen skillfully dodging multiple blasts while smiling. Sam has the speed to easily dodge way more than what Rocket threw at him but still fell to Rocket’s superior marksmanship and battle sense.

Admittedly, if Aerosmith gets tagged under tourney rules, based off his feats Narancia would likely die immediately,(its stats for durability is ranked C which is comparable to a human)

RIP

Best part is, mind link applies to everyone even my fodder Swat Soldiers. So they won't immediately rush into the fray and get fodderized by the giant dinosaur, nor the raptors.

As far as my understanding goes, mind link is simply telepathy between teammates. I don’t think everyone on the team knows everything the other members do; it’s simply a way to communicate what they do know. Otherwise they would all be overwhelmed with information. They might not rush in, but once Toph starts to become preoccupied with her own safety, all bets are off.

Men specially trained and equipped to face these dinosaurs have failed at taking them down in the past. Your men have not received this training and they have never seen a dinosaur in their life. They are just as dead as the special units that have tried before them. These men are virtually a non-factor to the Indominus. Just mosquitos to SWAT (pun intended).

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Gratuitous Big Version. Imagine Rocket on top blasting away.
Gratuitous Big Version. Imagine Rocket on top blasting away.

And you didn't say anything about them being bullet proof so swat probably can handle them.

I can’t tell you one way or the other because in five movies, no one has hit one or killed one (with the exception of a rocket launcher). I will point out that the raptors were standing right there when the unit opened fire on them and not one of them died from gunfire.

Toph can easily send targets flying from below without them being able to detect her attacks. She carries a lot of striking power in her attacks so a simple earthbending move should take out any of the smaller raptors in an instant.

I can’t really see those specific attacks shown as something that would take a raptor out and if it did, it wouldn’t be long term. Blue has been sent flying from gas explosions, slammed through storefronts and even knocked by the Indominus into a building so hard it cracked (who if you recall has the strength to flip a truck) and still got back up.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

But the beauty of raptors is they are ambush predators. While she focuses on one, there is another nearby to strike. There are five velociraptors on the field. If you face one, you more than likely face at least 2-3.

The Initial Attack

So, as far as plans go, this isn’t turning out quite the way your team expected. Your team has far less support from Engineer’s turrets (or none at all) and the walls are easily peeped over, climbed or destroyed. On top of that, you are under the impression you have the surprise attack but we know right where you are.

So how this really begins is Rocket locates your team members and starts with the closest ones. Aerosmith will be shot down immediately, killing Narancia. At most generous, there will be two turrets for Rocket to take out before our teams even come face to face, which is child’s play. The raptors will split up to start hunting and kill your SWAT team and the Engineer when they find him.

If Deku is closest, he gets the building he’s hiding in taken down on top of him. If Toph is closest, we take her head on and overwhelm her as described previously. If Deku is still hiding at this point in time, he will come to aid her only to find that his location was not a secret.

Deku smashes into the battle, easily blitzing your team through a wall from one of the buildings(you will have no idea where he is or the fact that he is on the team to begin with) flanking you from yet another side, and one shot your discount T-Rex with a building level strike.

'discount' - regard (a possibility, fact, or person) as being unworthy of consideration because it lacks credibility
'discount' - regard (a possibility, fact, or person) as being unworthy of consideration because it lacks credibility

The Indominus has the strength to smash through dense materials and throw trucks like toys. She has the durability to match this strength. We see what the Indominus did to the Tyrannosaurus. A T-Rex can also easily smash through walls and can cave in a bus with single hit with its nose. The T-Rex has the strongest bite force of any animal ever at over 6 tons, and yet the Indominus took plenty of big hits and bites on the neck and even the headall while destroying the buildings around them. This barely slowed her down (ignoring the banana size teeth you don’t have) and she could easily lift, drag and slam the T-Rex, which weighs over 9 tons.

I’d like to see more examples of “building level” strikes. I’m not so sure that is what we are seeing in the gif you posted and there are a lot of variables to substantiate that claim. In the manga the event was a lot different.

Regardless, even at his max 20%, Deku still has a glaring weakness that Rocket easily exploits especially considering Deku doesn’t have the element of surprise.

Deku is fast enough to easily dodge bullets from multiple shooters while running towards them while at only 5% of one for all. Deku currently wields anywhere between 8 percent to 20 percent of his quirk, meaning he's even faster than this..

I’ll wait for you to provide more feats and by the time of my next post I should be all caught up with the series, but I do know there are limitations to Deku’s abilities. Not including the physical strain, damage to his body or time limit when he uses more of his power, but his speed, even at 20% is still very predictable and linear.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

Having a weakness against long range weapons is a bad weakness to have against Rocket. Plus you don’t have that element of surprise you were counting on. If Deku consistently has the strength of your gif, then I could see him knocking out the Indominus. But you need to show you can get passed Rocket first to land that strike. I’ve already gone over his targeting of fast moving objects. Let’s take a look at some marksmanship for good measure.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5
Rocket hits multiple targets, targets without looking, headshot after headshot all with impressive combat agility and speed

Rocket should have no trouble hitting a telegraphed target like Deku. Cherry on top, Rocket is at minimum 15 feet off the ground and can go higher if necessary with his jet pack. For Deku to launch any significant strike against Rocket he will have to jump. Deku can’t dodge midair so he will be an even easier target the closer he gets.

Deku is really the only threat your team has to offer and he will start the battle with his pants down. By the time he arrives, most of your team will be dead. His tactical ability would have been more valuable on the field when the battle began but ultimately his knowledge of super heroics won’t help him when he’s alone. He often relies on others to save him in a fight. Deku might be pretty sharp but Rocket is an engineered, tactical genius with way, way, way more experience. Deku launches his last stand and goes down heroically.

@majinblackheart:

Round 2

Defending my prep

Nice point, but in actuality, as long as I have the materials, they shouldn't take long to make. For example, ignoring gameplay and other factors it seemingly takes Engineer with materials to make a turret in 1-2 minutes, then he starts on another one.

https://youtu.be/GLlLQ3LmZWU?t=670

The whole situation starts at the 11 minute mark, by the time it reaches 12:30, The Engineer is already starting on another turret. Mind you, the fact that he's doing this so quickly regardless of the method is consistent with the gameplay of TF2. Building takes less than a minute thanks to the construction PDA. The process that takes time is the upgrading which requires additional materials admittedly, but that shouldn't be problem in itself, there are materials literally all over the map at every corner,(there are unused tanks on the map that Toph can easily take apart and turn into scrap for Engineer, and the map itself is an abandoned warzone, so it should definitely have materials around every corner) and the Engineer is the same person who designs teleporters, advanced tech like dispensers, and fully loaded turrets with scraps as you already noted. The dispensers would constantly generate resources every few seconds to assist in the process, and Toph can help speed this process up via metal bending.

I’m not even so sure what you showed was a metal bending technique as much as it was an earth bending technique that rattled the bolts out of the tank tracks. Regardless, vibrating some metal is a far cry from creating a machined and engineered object that requires exact specifications to operate properly.

She disassembled the tanks via a combination of earthbending and metalbending. She has other feats as well such as constructing metal versions of herself or even constructing a monster made of metal just by listening to a description by Sokka.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4
The Promise Part 2

In speaking of exact specifications, she was assisting in deciphering issues with an engine, and saw every part that was precisely crafted and fixed the issue with said engine. And one thing led to another, she ended up even gaining a potential business partner because of it. Her metalbending students and herself will help with refinery efforts.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5
The Rift Part 1

So honestly with a combination of Toph and Engineer searching for materials together(the mind link with all our different forces can make this go about a lot quicker potentially) and with the speed of construction via the PDA, the biggest challenge would be upgrading, and placement, which shouldn't be hard as I shown in the expiration date short and the clip of gameplay. Once all the turrets are built, Toph can easily just use earthbending and metalbending to move everything. 20 minutes seems pretty tight, but we can at least get anywhere between 5-10 turrets set up strategically as long as we have the materials, in about 10 minutes. If this was the engineer by himself you would definitely have an argument.

Without your turrets, basically you have created walls to hide behind. A wall that my 20 foot Indominus can pretty much look over, easily climb or simply slam through.

  1. Can climb 40 foot walls
  2. Smashes through concrete building
  3. Smashes through thick structural metal/glass aviary
  4. Smashes and destroys thick steel doors and reinforced concrete walls

Not including that the *not a raccoon* on his back that has a jet pack he can easily use to gain a vantage point or peer over your puny walls. Plus he can just shoot them or toss a grenade and destroy them. The walls will also obscure your own vision and thus hinders you more than helps you.

Unfortunately we will have turrets, and that will still distract you from peering over the walls or bothering to smash through them which is more than enough to allow our plan to go through without much of a hitch.

The walls won't be hindering our vision much if your position will constantly be known to the entire team. At least one person will relay information on your position at all times. Also if Indy is taller and towers over the buildings like you say will he be looking through the windows? Indy himself should be way taller and should only be able to see the roofs of the building he would be at an awkward angle.(some of the buildings are brick buildings with very few windows, so I question how will you see whoever's hiding out in them.) Also a mere grenade isn't busting Toph's walls if she can block attacks from Azula, AS Aang and can match Bumi in power.

The Battle Phase

Well, as above, I can see over your wall. Also, Rocket has nifty devices that locates life forms and even warns him of their presence. I’m pretty sure everyone on your team falls under this category. We know exactly where you are too and we don’t mind that you know where we are – a member of my team is taller than the buildings on the map.

Not that it is far reaching or could detect Deku in a building, but the Indominus can also sense thermal radiation, meaning anyone exposed nearby will be detected. Rocket also has heightened senses (sight, hearing, smell and even touch).

Alright fair enough, how far reaching are those devices? We will without a doubt know where you are first thanks to Seismic Sense and Aerosmith, but the turrets will be built according to plan and I doubt your team will be searching for lifeforms while under fire, so you will still get attacked first.

She will have time to do this now that she doesn’t have to help with the turrets but it is fairly pointless on a battlefield this small. Rocket can know the battleground in a glance from his vantage point. Toph’s picture perfect memory isn’t really a game changer here.

I'm really only mentioning to give a general idea on how accurate it is. How she can see buildings, houses, bridges, and determine bodies of water simply by touching the ground. This is just to solidify the visual advantage my team may have on yours. Its pretty meaningless, but just to paint a picture.

So what about Rocket? He will not be on the ground. He will be either atop the Indominus or using his jet pack unleashing hell on the person throwing rocks at his pet dinosaur. Rocket isn’t kung fu fighting here either; he’s squeezing a trigger and pulling pins.

She has insanely good hearing and smell just like Rocket does. Like humans in real life, when one of our senses are knocked out the rest of them are incredibly enhanced to ridiculous levels. Her sense of smell and hearing might as well be superhuman.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

In the first two scans Toph was able to pinpoint her academy's general location by smell alone. And jumped off Appa's back along with sokka and landed safely.

In the third scan she pinpointed Appa's location (who was several hundred meters if not at least a thousand meters in the air and still moving) by most likely hearing and smell alone and launched herself perfectly with earthbending precisely onto the saddle on his back.

And her seismic sense should allow her to sense him even if he's on Indy, due to vibrations that would spread to even Rocket. She stopped Mai's arrows while she was riding a very erratic moving animal, a faster and far more erratic animal than Indy.

No Caption Provided

As for a jetpack? That should be just as noisy as Aang's airspout, and Toph was able to react to his attacks, launch her own assault and even tag Aang.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

Rocket shouldn't be much different. I can show more examples.

I showed the ripples as examples, she can create massive pillars chuck giant rocks and the like, which would all be far more effective in sending your team into chaos. And I already showed Toph reacting to attacks at a fair range.

She was able to send herself, suki and sokka flying hundreds of feet into the sky with an earth pillar. And I doubt those raptors are overwhelming her when she was able to solo at least 4 Dai Li members on her own.

No Caption Provided

She was able to defend against so much at the invasion of the Earth Palace

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiSWwAPDV8o

Contending with the raptors shouldn't be a problem. And regarding the mind link, that's the whole point of communication, before you arrive we will already know your numbers and a general idea of what we are dealing with, so even if you do start to overwhelm our forces, being able to communicate positioning and status to each other will allow us to support each other better.

Not gonna lie, I definitely overrated Narancia's value, but his bullets seem just as powerful as normal gunfire like pistol fire or submachine guns, so unless Rocket is bulletproof, his suppressing fire, along with his bombs should be enough to be a threat to at least him. Aerosmith admittedly is only a distraction at this point, as long as the turrets are also set up, he will still serve his purpose. As for his tracking, its precision rating isn't enough to judge its tracking, what I've shown is more than enough, with the help of communication with Toph, he will be able to differentiate between 0

RIP

Look at your scan again, at best Nova got grazed, and he wasn't even trying to fight Rocket and was trying to stop the fight, I'm not sure if that's a good example. Considering Rocket's likely impressive track record, I assume you have more feats?

I already showed Aerosmith reacting to and easily dodging a stand that could deflect a decent volley of bullets being fired at a great firing rate. I'm not sure it would be that easy with all the other distractions Rocket will have.

Here's how I see it, obviously they won't get information all at once, but if we are already starting off in one area waiting for your team to approach us, and Toph and Narancia can specifically sense you at a farther distance than you can sense us, then that information alone can get transferred across the team before you can reach us. So we will know of your location ahead of time and make countermeasures, by the time the battle truly begins and we start our assault, minor info like "Raptor coming flanking from the right side" or "turrets are going down" or to give a better more important example to the scenario you presented later in your post relating to Deku coming at the last second "Deku we are being overwhelmed, we need back up". The speed of thought would make this a lot easier compared to mouthing out words on an earpiece.

The gunfire on several sides, the earthbending attacks, eventually Deku rushing in to attack would divide your focus to such extremes, which ultimately makes Deku's job that much easier.

I can’t tell you one way or the other because in five movies, no one has hit one or killed one (with the exception of a rocket launcher). I will point out that the raptors were standing right there when the unit opened fire on them and not one of them died from gunfire.

That scene isn't really a good indicator, the scene implies they fired at Indy first so its hard to tell who's taking damage or who's getting shot to begin with.

But the beauty of raptors is they are ambush predators. While she focuses on one, there is another nearby to strike. There are five velociraptors on the field. If you face one, you more than likely face at least 2-3.

She has plenty of attacks she could use to hold off the raptors or easily take them out at various ranges. I'll copy and paste some here.

Even against the Rough Rhinos who had ranged weaponry like sickles and staffs, she manages to do fine reacting, dodging and countering with bending

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

And she has other options she could go for in a close quarters engagement like rock armors or rock gauntlets.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

She has a healthy amount of options for all ranges necessary.

No Caption Provided

She can hold off the raptors with techniques like this for crowd control.

No Caption Provided

And the raptors no matter what aren't going to be able to ambush Toph who has even better senses than them, and was the main reason why Team Avatar wasn't ambushed in their sleep during the chase.(she sensed Azula and her team chasing after Team Avatar from miles away) on top of having the excellent hearing I already provided. Admittedly, everyone else like the swat members are more susceptible

Overall Strategies

So, as far as plans go, this isn’t turning out quite the way your team expected. Your team has far less support from Engineer’s turrets (or none at all) and the walls are easily peeped over, climbed or destroyed. On top of that, you are under the impression you have the surprise attack but we know right where you are.

At most generous, there will be two turrets for Rocket to take out before our teams even come face to face, which is child’s play. If Deku is closest, he gets the building he’s hiding in taken down on top of him. If Toph is closest, we take her head on and overwhelm her as described previously. If Deku is still hiding at this point in time, he will come to aid her only to find that his location was not a secret.

I disagree, I think I provided enough credibility for Engineer and Toph, that building the turrets shouldn't be as difficult as you think in an abandoned Warzone filled with scrap and likely left over ammunition and guns. Toph can also sense metal and likely help speed up the process. With a dispenser already being built, that will help get us resources a lot faster, so the dispeners and sentries will be built as according to plan, meaning we still have the support, ammunition, firepower and possible healing that will help us outlast your team.

Not if Narancia has the speed to react to stands fast enough to deflect gunfire. There will definitely be more than two turrets considering how I showed how fast a basic level 1 turret can be built. The problem with building turrets is not the initial creation its the speed of upgrading them which shouldn't be a problem with the help of Toph.

The problem with this is, Toph or Narancia will be giving him information when necessary, so if Indy is about to destroy the building he is out while Toph is analyzing the map, Deku will already know where you are and immediately proceed with his role past schedule as opposed to allowing Indy and Rocket to get the jump on him.

I mean, caving in buses, and smashing through walls, isn't really that impressive in context, Deku could do the same thing fairly easy.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

And in the movie it gets even better, he caves in reinforced walls, pillars and other constructs made by Wolfram, the quirk he is using was handed down to him by All For One which says a lot about its level of power.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DfkuuMd_Xw

And at 20 percent against Overhaul he was completely reshaping his constructs, and moving them just by stamping down on them.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

So the boost in raw power should be fairly decent, on top of all that.

I have anime and manga feats do I not? I don't think it really matters at this point whether the manga version is different.

I’ll wait for you to provide more feats and by the time of my next post I should be all caught up with the series, but I do know there are limitations to Deku’s abilities. Not including the physical strain, damage to his body or time limit when he uses more of his power, but his speed, even at 20% is still very predictable and linear.

For Deku to launch any significant strike against Rocket he will have to jump. Deku can’t dodge midairso he will be an even easier target the closer he gets.

Its a good thing a lot of these weaknesses are mitigated due to being able to launch ranged shockwaves huh?

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

On top of having generally faster reflexes, he can fire off air pressure as projectiles, something Rocket shouldn't even see coming without knowledge.

So range is no longer a factor under any circumstances.

To summarize

  • Building the turrets shouldn't be hard if the first thing we build is a dispenser and there's scrap everywhere, Toph assisting with her precision., and everyone else is a distraction.
  • Generally speaking, we should sense you before you do us, and we can reply information to each other before you completely arrive or during.
  • Deku and Narancia shouldn't be getting tagged based off feats
  • We will still have our firepower and our attack should for the most part go as planned.

Battle Engineer

I will give credit where it is due but I still think that is quite a high number of turrets to make, especially if you expect them to be upgraded. While we never even see a round go off in the Expiration Date video, in the gameplay it takes about two minutes to make and upgrade a sentry gun. Unless you are choosing to not upgrade them, I would imagine you could get 4-6 up in the 20 minute time period depending on how far apart you place them.

Ultimately, this equipment lacks sufficient range and is easily destroyed. Rocket’s firepower will make even faster work of them. I’ve shown how Rocket can quickly assess situations and hit multiple targets in the blink of an eye, so even better for my team if the strategy is to use non-upgraded guns as they probably won’t even be in range to fire back or have munitions too insignificant to make much of a difference.

In speaking of exact specifications, she was assisting in deciphering issues with an engine, and saw every part that was precisely crafted and fixed the issue with said engine. And one thing led to another, she ended up even gaining a potential business partner because of it. Her metalbending students and herself will help with refinery efforts.

While I am impressed you have a mechanic feat for Toph, this in no way shows she can bend metal into in precision engineered part. Ignoring the mechanical inaccuracies of the comic (such as the piece clicking into place or Toph somehow metal bending a rubber belt back on), all she did was put a pulley back in place. It’s a cool metal sensing feat but doesn’t show she can do what the Engineer does. She can help gather material when she’s not building walls.

The walls won't be hindering our vision much if your position will constantly be known to the entire team. At least one person will relay information on your position at all times.

You are hindered in the fact that you can’t really attack while you are concealed as well as falsely believing that they have an element of surprise or that their locations aren’t known.

Also if Indy is taller and towers over the buildings like you say will he be looking through the windows? Indy himself should be way taller and should only be able to see the roofs of the building he would be at an awkward angle.(some of the buildings are brick buildings with very few windows, so I question how will you see whoever's hiding out in them.)

The Indominus doesn’t need to see anyone inside. Rocket is the brains in this operation. Anyone inside will have a building brought down on top of them. Any one that is outside gets charged by the Indominus.

Also a mere grenade isn't busting Toph's walls if she can block attacks from Azula, AS Aang and can match Bumi in power.

I don’t recall seeing these in any of these in your posts, but here are some examples of what Rocket’s explosives can do.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5Gallery image 6Gallery image 7

And don’t worry, he carries plenty. A rock and top soil wall isn't standing up to even Rocket's smallest explosives. I’ve got a few special ones for later…

Battle Toph

Alright fair enough, how far reaching are those devices? We will without a doubt know where you are first thanks to Seismic Sense and Aerosmith, but the turrets will be built according to plan and I doubt your team will be searching for lifeforms while under fire, so you will still get attacked first.

Why wouldn’t Rocket scan for lifeforms right at the start of the battle? You have prep but you don’t know where we start. It’s not like my team would spawn into a machine gun nest. If there is one nearby, he'll take care of it and run a scan.

As far as range, it should have no problem with an area this small as it was able to detect life from the outskirts of a city. It could have potentially searched the entire planet.

She [Toph] has insanely good hearing and smell just like Rocket does.

Pretty good, but I do notice that all of the things she smells are things she is familiar with. Rocket is on another level. He also has hypersensitive hearing and touch as well as night vision.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

  • Scan 1) Picks up two distinct smells
  • Scan 2) Smells animals approaching
  • Scan 3) Tracks single smell across a city

As for a jetpack? That should be just as noisy as Aang's airspout, and Toph was able to react to his attacks, launch her own assault and even tag Aang.

I’m not sure I am equating the noise comparison here, but Rocket’s space tech should be fairly silent. There is never any noise sounds printed in the comics to indicate it is loud and there is always a point made about how much better their tech is than Earth’s.

Not that I am using MCU, but this is about as loud as it should be. Not that it matters since, as I have stated, Rocket is not hiding. Aang staying in one place on his air spout is completely different than Rocket maneuvering at speed unloading his weapons in Toph’s direction.

And I doubt those raptors are overwhelming her when she was able to solo at least 4 Dai Li members on her own. She was able to defend against so much at the invasion of the Earth Palace.

I have no doubt that Toph is proficient at defending herself but that is all she I going to be able to do in this situation. For instance, she may have soloed those Dai Li but she did not do so untouched. One touch from a raptor is a game changer. Fighting off raptors while evading gunfire and explosions is all she will have time for before her end.

And regarding the mind link, that's the whole point of communication, before you arrive we will already know your numbers and a general idea of what we are dealing with, so even if you do start to overwhelm our forces, being able to communicate positioning and status to each other will allow us to support each other better.

Overwhelming equals death in this scenario. That means you lose numbers as the fight continues. And typically, as you are overwhelmed and focusing on individual well-being, communication usually breaks down. You have no perfect or even decent teamwork perk to reinforce these types of actions. In fact, there's no reason any of your team members would really cooperate or coalesce with each other without taking the time to use the mind link and get to know one another.

Battle Narancia

Not gonna lie, I definitely overrated Narancia's value, but his bullets seem just as powerful as normal gunfire like pistol fire or submachine guns, so unless Rocket is bulletproof, his suppressing fire, along with his bombs should be enough to be a threat to at least him. Aerosmith admittedly is only a distraction at this point, as long as the turrets are also set up, he will still serve his purpose.

No Caption Provided

Rocket has enhanced durability thanks to his modifications including a fusocarbon skeleton. Regarding Rocket’s durability to arms, he’s taken blaster fire near point blank to little effect and has been shot with large caliber arms as well. In this instance, he fought through and the wound was of no consequence.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

Look at your scan again, at best Nova got grazed, and he wasn't even trying to fight Rocket and was trying to stop the fight, I'm not sure if that's a good example. Considering Rocket's likely impressive track record, I assume you have more feats?

Yes, the one I posted where he shot a dogfighting space fighter down…

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

Also, Sam wasn’t trying to stop any fight there. He was coming for training. Even if he was “grazed,” Sam is so much faster than Aerosmith it’s ridiculous. And since he’s 15, he always leaves his house flying at high speeds. Ultimately, grazed is still hit and with Narancia’s durability that is more than enough for a kill. As for Sam “not fighting back”, if that were the case he is more than fast enough to not allow himself to get hit. Rocket simply knew where his target would be and shot it down, just like he will do to the far slower Aerosmith.

I already showed Aerosmith reacting to and easily dodging a stand that could deflect a decent volley of bullets being fired at a great firing rate. I'm not sure it would be that easy with all the other distractions Rocket will have.

What you call distractions would be more akin to a shooting range for Rocket. You only have a few choice targets that will pop up and he can take them all out in a blast each. Ten turrets and Aerosmith is like a game at the state fair considering all but one is stationary.

The gunfire on several sides, the earthbending attacks, eventually Deku rushing in to attack would divide your focus to such extremes, which ultimately makes Deku's job that much easier.

In your prep, you said you are lining the paths with turrets. I’m going to have some time before I run into Toph and even longer until I run into Deku, who will be moving into a hiding place. The way I see it, I spawn, check for life signs and head down the street toward you, blowing up the turrets, walls and Aerosmith as we go. The raptors fan out heading to fight the SWAT team, who should also be fanning out to find the raptors while Toph is directing them (to their deaths).

That leaves Toph facing off against Rocket and the Indy, followed by the raptors as they tear through the SWAT team. This happens more quickly as she defends herself and begins evading since she won’t be able to provide raptor location information to the already woefully in equipped SWAT team. Being solidly on defense, the Indominus closes in and she dies in one gruesome fashion or another.

Deku would likely be late to the party or too late to make much of a difference.

Battle Deku

I mean, caving in buses, and smashing through walls, isn't really that impressive in context, Deku could do the same thing fairly easy.

It wasn’t meant to show superiority to Deku, only that the Indominus can take that type of force and shrugs it off with little issue. Deku doing the same means the Indominus can take a hit from him. We have seen many characters take hits from 5% and 8% Deku and be ok.

Rocket too should be able to take these hits if you can get close enough to (we’ll get to that).

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5

  • Scan 1) Kraven runs Rocket over. He was perfectly fine.
  • Scans 2-3) Taking hits from Kraven
  • Scan 4) Blitzed and slammed by Sam Alexander and he is only mad about his gun.
  • Scan 5) Takes the full force kick of Miles Morales and was still up and fighting.

And at 20 percent against Overhaul he was completely reshaping his constructs, and moving them just by stamping down on them.

Deku can barely handle this power and can only use it for an instant. To use it is to lose the fight. It means he has to pick a target between Rocket and the Indominus. Depending on which he chooses, it leaves him open to be killed by the other.

Its a good thing a lot of these weaknesses are mitigated due to being able to launch ranged shockwaves huh?

That shockwave momentarily pushed a man off balance. This is not blowing away plasma shots and it is especially not fazing the Indominus that weighs in at over 9 tons not including momentum. Also, we aren’t running away like Gentle Criminal was and Deku is still learning how to use this technique. It does not have the range or power to make a difference or give Deku the opening he needs.

If this attack had any effectiveness, it would blow Rocket away from the Indominus. This actually puts Deku at a disadvantage because Rocket can easily compensate with his jet pack and then Deku has two targets to contend with (which is a potential strategy that Rocket can employ anytime otherwise).

So range is no longer a factor under any circumstances

Rocket decides the range in this fight since the shockwaves can’t compete with Rocket’s weapons and they don’t have the power to do any damage. Not to mention Deku still has issue using them while moving, which is something he’s going to have to do while dodging plasma and potentially raptors. He still can’t dodge in the air either which is where he has to go to attack either the Indominus or Rocket, leaving himself open.

As promised, the last tricks up Rocket’s sleeve that will help contend with Deku should he be able to close the gap at a time Rocket thinks is advantageous. Rocket carries solar grenades and gravi-nades. The solar grenade works like a flash bang and can blind Deku and leave him open to attack. The gravi-nade would work similarly to the mines Rocket used in the MCU (for visual) and leave him equally as defenseless. These could also be used to make quick work of Toph as well.

Conclusion

  • While the Engineer can make more turrets than I originally imagined, lining the path will just provide some entertainment target practice for Rocket.
  • Aerosmith isn’t faster than Nova or a space fighter and is blown up immediately, killing Narancia.
  • The SWAT team hunts the raptors only to find the raptors are hunting them. They lose their location support once Toph becomes preoccupied.
  • Toph has to start the fight alone against Rocket and the Indominus, goes into defense mode before her untimely end.
  • Deku has severe range disadvantage and starts late to the fight. Rocket kills him at range, uses specialty or regular grenades, or Deku closes the gap and choses one opponent to get killed by the other. Should Rocket and Indominus split up his problems only grow.
  • Rocket lets the Engineer live because they have common interests and they get a brew together.

Final Round Counters

I will give credit where it is due but I still think that is quite a high number of turrets to make, especially if you expect them to be upgraded. While we never even see a round go off in the Expiration Date video, in the gameplay it takes about two minutes to make and upgrade a sentry gun. Unless you are choosing to not upgrade them, I would imagine you could get 4-6 up in the 20 minute time period depending on how far apart you place them.

That's the thing, Engineer and Toph could build them all in one place, and Toph can move them into position via metal bending. So how far apart we are placing them isn't relevant because it won't take long to begin with. And even 5 turrets would be dangerous even to your team. Rocket's marksmanship against mercenaries and the like are great, but these are turrets equipped with rockets and high caliber bullets, that react to the slightest movement. Even the non-upgraded turrets are incredibly sensitive, shooting off far off targets that are sneaking around. Just four turrets, two without upgrades, and two equipped with rockets, were fending off entire groups of soldiers, heavies, demomen etc. who have decent fire power

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNgNBsCI4EA

He managed to maintain his position to get a kill count of over 200 while remaining untouched showing how accurate, fast and deadly the turrets are.

It took 3-4 hits from a rocket launcher to take it out. That's fairly impressive. Rocket's basic guns aren't destroying the turrets in one shot. His grenades definitely.

I already previously shown her taking out all the screws on several tanks at once, her making a detailed construct based off instruction and earlier showed her making a detailed 3D model of a city she traveled in. She did this instantly.

https://youtu.be/NJoMa4-rBVw?t=60

I don't see why shouldn't couldn't help upgrade turrets with that kind of memory and feel for things.

You are hindered in the fact that you can’t really attack while you are concealed as well as falsely believing that they have an element of surprise or that their locations aren’t known.

If your movements and attack patterns give away that you are focusing on one target, it shouldn't be hard to cage you in or block you off via Earthbending. We will immediately know which direction you are heading or if your movements imply an abundance of awareness relating to our positions. I feel simply talking about seismic sense won't get me anywhere so let me show you an actual example.

https://www.thewatchcartoononline.tv/avatar-book-2-earth-episode-8

skip to the 3 minute mark when everyone goes to sleep. and watch till 7:27 when Azula and her squad arrives.

Toph showcases examples of noting the exact positioning of everything, like when Katara was talking smack and Toph without moving from her position, with a wall in front of her, and likely laying down, smacks katara onto Sokka, or the three times, Toph notes of their pursuers(who were travelling at a fairly high speed as you will notice around the 9:30 mark) noticing their positioning even from an elevated position(on a mountain) I want to make note of the large distance between the train and wherever team avatar is.

Also let me summarize the attack plan. Everything that I described in my first post, is happening one after another. The instant the turrets open fire, Aerosmith is providing assisting suppressive fire with his guns and bombs, Toph is chucking rocks, creating massive pillars to send raptors or Indy flying to disrupt positions and momentum, and while this is happening Deku rushes out of the building while you are busy sharpshooting the turrets and trying to avoid rockets and bullets.

So everything is happening at essentially the same time, it isn't some awkward battle where Deku waits 5 minutes for his dramatic entrance while the turrets start kick off the assault.

This assault is even easier since we will know what types of routes you are taking before you figure out where we are.(You haven't shown the max range for your tech or sensory abilities)

The Indominus doesn’t need to see anyone inside. Rocket is the brains in this operation. Anyone inside will have a building brought down on top of them. Any one that is outside gets charged by the Indominus.

Lets assume you somehow ignore all the turrets, beat Aerosmith, fend off Toph's earthbending in seconds, and reach Deku's position(which is impossible by the way) way before our almost simultaneous attack goes off. Do you really think Toph is going to ignore that Indy is outright targeting buildings her teammates might be in? And not rely that information to Deku? Its as simple as a thought. "Hey Veggie Head, T-Rex coming your way, watch out!" and Deku responds "Got it, thanks for the heads up" and jumps out of a back door or something to prevent himself from directly running into Indominus or to escape the collapsing building in time in the case of the scenario you brought up.

I don’t recall seeing these in any of these in your posts, but here are some examples of what Rocket’s explosives can do.

And don’t worry, he carries plenty. A rock and top soil wall isn't standing up to even Rocket's smallest explosives. I’ve got a few special ones for later…

What is the most consistent level of fire power his grenades pack? I see some busting entire buildings, some comparable and maybe a little better than standard grenades, etc. Either way, Toph should be fine, considering she blocked fire bending blasts from the Avatar State Aang, who is comfortably above building level in DC.

Considering he was planning on destroying the town and the refinery, and scales over Sozin's Comet bending, and had no idea Toph and co were going to get in the way, this is a pretty solid feat.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

She also defending against Aang's airbending, and even his basic air blasts, has flipped over giant drills. And fire nation tanks

No Caption Provided

Toph's most durable walls aren't going to get smashed by Indy that easily, and shouldn't be blown away too easily by Rocket's grenades.

And she was going toe to toe with King Bumi who's raw power is nothing to sneeze at. Their fight was a stalemate in the comics, and neither were outdoing the other regardless if you wanna argue either was holding back. They still displayed plenty of impressive feats in their fight. Dodging each other's attacks with a fair amount of agility, tossing around large volumes of rock with each attack, in her fight with Bumi they ripped apart the nearby cliff and caused Rockalanhces and quakes where Iroh and the others were.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cj9hO3HtQ08

With this much influence on the battlefield, I honestly don't see the raptors running around being a threat, and I definitely do not see how she couldn't easily disrupt Indy.

No Caption Provided

Damn. Not gonna lie that's pretty impressive, but my point still stands regarding reading which routes or direction you might take. The raptors scouting ahead will immediately be attacked first considering Toph's experience with the Dai Li, so they will either be buried, sent flying a fair distance, or crushed by giant boulders.

The one that stands out the most is probably Scan 1 and 3. Scan 1 specifically because he was able to identify two different smells, and scan 3 because of tracking, but there isn't much reason why someone like Toph couldn't do the same considering she only had hearing and sight to rely on all her life. For example, for Scan 2, Toph heard someone swinging erratically towards her location, and shifted her position to have the swinging man hit her enemies. Which I think is just as good as scan 2 as far as hearing is concerned.

Well Toph was able to hear Sokka's boomerang flying through the air and dodged it.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

I highly doubt a boomerang could produce more noise than a jetpack.

Honestly? Toph could probably just create a rock armor or a metal armor(with the left over tanks scattered around) to protect herself or bullrush a raptor or two.

While evading gunfire and explosions? You say this as if the rest of the team isn't there and won't be attacking at basically the same time. The Raptors will have plenty of other issues to deal with.

We have 20 minutes, making basic preparations. Narancia is a follower, Toph was always on board to follow Sokka's plans, and Izuku is a self-made tactician. I honestly cannot see many issues with them working together especially if they likely know they are in a fight to survive.

He clearly didn't shrug any of that off. So I doubt he's going to pull a superman and fight through any shots he takes. That being said, is he a bullet timer?

Where is rocket in this instance? Did he tag this spacefighter with one of his own? Because IMO that in itself isn't impressive when characters in fiction do that all the time.

Honestly, all this immediately loses any semblance of credibility the instant you showed Sam, Miles Morales, and other characters with similar reflexes to Deku, and Aerosmith, blitzing him. Also the scan where Rocket tagged him and this combat showing right here implies that Sam wasn't even using his full speed either.

No Caption Provided

They would have already fired upon you and your team given the range of both. So distractions or not, it sets up nicely like intended.

Not linearly, they will be spread out around corners, on top of buildings tall and short. Considering how small the map is, you won't have that much time, Every single one of my characters can reach yours instantly if needed, Toph like I said in my strategy will be attacking you from a range in the same interval as the turrets. Engineer can tell if his turrets have been taken out without actually needing to be there, so he could relay to Toph and the swat that their cover fire,(the turrets) are destroyed and they shouldn't rush out on their own. If everything is hitting the fan as you say, Toph, Engineer(who also has portable sentries like Mini-Sentries that he could create as he escapes) and Deku would immediately attempt to regroup, Toph holding off your team by raising a wall to slow you down, then tunneling her way to Deku or Engineer's positions(whoever is closer) then doing the same for whoever she reaches.

https://streamable.com/8koj7

But it won't get to that considering the nature of this fight and my plan. Again let me emphasize everyone will be attacking in the same timeframe. Deku at most will be a second or two behind the others after they start their assault. The entire point is for your focus to be divided by turrets and Aerosmith so when Deku comes in, he and Toph can clean house taking out the remaining Raptors assuming they aren't already down for the count, then aiming to take out Rocket and Indy.

Even if you were a fair distance away Deku can blitz your raptors and Indy fairly easily Which is why Deku's role is going to have such a huge impact, you're going to be dealing with gunfire and explosions, and rocks getting chucked at you, and you mean to tell me, Rocket under all that pressure is going to have the perfect trigger finger and is going to tag Deku as he's rushing them with that kind of agility and speed?

That leaves Toph facing off against Rocket and the Indy, followed by the raptors as they tear through the SWAT team. This happens more quickly as she defends herself and begins evading since she won’t be able to provide raptor location information to the already woefully in equipped SWAT team. Being solidly on defense, the Indominus closes in and she dies in one gruesome fashion or another.

Deku would likely be late to the party or too late to make much of a difference.

I don't see how any of this is happening if the attack is simultaneous.

It wasn’t meant to show superiority to Deku, only that the Indominus can take that type of force and shrugs it off with little issue. Deku doing the same means the Indominus can take a hit from him. We have seen many characters take hits from 5% and 8% Deku and be ok.

Like who? Top tier student Bakugo? Who was taking blows from an admittedly holding back All Might?

For instance they took an air pressure attack from all might that was destroying the buildings in the area.

They also got straight up slammed into the ground by him.

Or maybe top tier Todoroki who took a full blast from Bakugo which also happened to destroyed his building sized ice ridge? This only managed to KO Todoroki.

https://youtu.be/WYRemG5BlMM?t=84

Or Stain who was physically strong enough to cut through Todoroki's ice constructs?(3:28)

The characters in MHA are all superhuman. Someone surviving Deku's punch isn't an anti-feat

Kraven treated him like a toy, and what is Sam and Miles best striking feats? Also like I said above these are rather incriminating regarding your case of Rocket's marksmanship.

Deku can barely handle this power and can only use it for an instant. To use it is to lose the fight. It means he has to pick a target between Rocket and the Indominus. Depending on which he chooses, it leaves him open to be killed by the other.

Considering he can switch it on and off at any given moment without warning, I'm not so sure if its that big of a handicap. Plus if he picks rocket, he could easily avoid and outmaneuver Indy or simply overpower him. So if Rocket falls, this entire operation falls apart since Deku isn't in danger thanks to the sharpshooter who has a bunch of grenades and powerful weapons. The raptors are fodder, and if pushed and desperate Deku's 100 percent attacks could take Rocket and Indy in one push

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aeAVvAFdII

That shockwave momentarily pushed a man off balance. This is not blowing away plasma shots and it is especially not fazing the Indominus that weighs in at over 9 tons not including momentum. Also, we aren’t running away like Gentle Criminal was and Deku is still learning how to use this technique. It does not have the range or power to make a difference or give Deku the opening he needs.

Sorry I kind of glossed over this last post due to time constraints, let me elaborate on why they matter here, in the plan I detailed, Deku is going to already be rushing your team, and so on top of already being faster than Indy or Rocket he can already have a finger ready to randomly send Rocket flying(and its not like he will recognize the displacement in the air right away so he will get hit which will throw him off leaving him vulnerable to a blitz and if Kraven can overpower him, Deku definitely can take him out.) As for its force it was incapping Gentle who seems decently superhuman himself.

And Deku isn't struggling to use this technique at all thanks to his new gauntlets

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4

Even when Gentle's stats were physically amped to keep up with Deku, his air pressure shots were still a threat

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2

So Deku can close the distance, and as he's closing in dangerous bullets or plasma shots, Deku will already have his finger ready to hit Rocket from a range AS HE'S CLOSING IN. Rocket wouldn't see the attack coming, gets hit, which allows Deku to take him out.

I showed scans suggesting otherwise, and the force will at least be enough to send rocket flying, which leaves him vulnerable to any left over turrets to shoot him, or Deku to blitz him with a solid kick to the jaw which should knock him out.

Another thing I wanted to address is that, Rocket doesn't seem to carry the same weapons into every single confrontation, is a jetpack standard gear? Are the gravity grenades standard gear? How often does he even use them? He doesn't have prep here so its not like there's any guarantee he'd start off with them. Also Rocket won't be busting out any of those flash bangs or gravity grenades because he will be too concerned of the giant rocks coming his way, and the bullets spraying everywhere.

Summarizing my plan and why it simply works.

Your team waltz in, gets fired upon by turrets, instantly, Aerosmith is rushing at you at 300 miles per hour dropping mini-bombs and spraying you with bullets as well, in that same interval, Toph raises up any hidden turrets that we managed to build, and have them appear like pop-ups in a children's book, then starts to chuck rocks, while your sharpshooter is focused on all this, the raptors are getting shot at by turrets as well, and Aerosmith will go after any stragglers while all this is going on, alternating fire between the raptors and Indy/Rocket. Deku while this chaos kicks off smashes out of his hiding place, and with his amazing mobility and travel speed, that was even able to surpass Tenya Iida's who can physically move faster than the eye can see. and blitzes any raptors still within sight, then sets his target on Indy and Rocket, and as the battle slowly progresses, the whole team will slowly converge to where Indy and Rocket is until they are eventually overwhelmed and beaten. Engineer will mostly be chilling, but during the battle he can gather more materials on his own and focus on building more stuff that could be useful for his team like dispensers or additional turrets.(non-upgraded ones which shouldn't take long) and after everything is built, he will carry what he can to the battlefield and if there are any turrets left he can use the wrangler, to control one from a range while giving it a barrier.

The reason why this plan is effective and a danger to your team is because its a simultaneous attack at various angles. The biggest disruption is Toph who can disrupt the entire battlefield with her bending, and that combined with Deku rushing in is dangerous as all hell when you are already dealing with suppressing fire that forces you to focus on the turrets.

So after Jurassic park shuts down, we jump on rocket and beat the crap out of him.

This battle has a lot of moving parts. So I won't go through everything since some things matter and while others not as much. But I give my vote to @deathhero61. What mainly convinced me is that Indy and the raptors weren't really impressive compared to Deku, from what was posted Deku's strength and speed would be more than enough to take out the dinos. Toph as well with her insane control of the battlefield I could not see her be even be closed to touched by a raptor or the indy. The biggest threat for Death's team was Rocket who although has impressive firepower could still be taken out by Deku with impressive speed and agility ( the wolfram video really convinced me ) . Although Naracina didn't really seem like of threat or factor. It mainly came down to Deku & Toph carrying the team, at least from my interpretation.

@deathhero61: gets my vote. I had to read it a few times and found Deku to be a bit overwhelming. Indy and the raptors seemed lacking in comparison and even though Rocket's firepower is fairly impressive he didn't give the impression that it would carry him through.

I thought @deathhero61 won. I was gonna make a bigger post, and I might elaborate later, but it's late now so I'll summarize.

Basically I thought he won because I wasn't convinced enough by Rocket's speed feats to say the sentry guns wouldn't take him down. Even with limits to prep time there should be enough that he'd be forced to hide behind Indominus the whole time which reduces his ability to retaliate. The Nova feat wasn't convincing, it's clear Nova wasn't fighting back or doing much to avoid the shots. For that matter Rocket clearly isn't a hypersonic character so it makes little sense to suggest Nova was using significant travel speed there.

Without Rocket @majinblackheart's plan falls apart somewhat. From the feats shown Deku should blitz and one-shot Indominus considering he has no reason to hold back against a giant monster and I didn't see how the raptors could threaten Toph considering ambush tactics are useless. Without Rocket being able to deal with the turrets or provide cover to Indominus from Deku the team lacks strategical and tactical footing.
