Blue Goku somewhat holding his own against Current Gas Who was undoubtedly superior to Full Power Granolah prior to getting his reserved berserker(?) state, Granolah off-guarding Goku after his accuracy dropped (Basically admitting he can't take him in a straight 1v1), In his Blue state he also counters Granolah's Pressure Point attacks and even saves vegeta from being Killed. Also fights against Base Gas if you wanna call him that. Yeah, Mastered UI Just seems to be in a different tier by now. Vegeta had a The win initially, but now? Ehh.. Poor guy. Goku wins handily, Arguably stomps if he were to Go Perfected UI post Gas fight.
Yeah with ssb goku's feats against fp granola, base gas and current gas he should win against ue vegeta with fp ui. Then there's things like god bind, the multiple aspects of ui, clones, and goku's own susanoo that gives goku the versatility advantage too.
Could go either way. Their feats are similar with Vegeta having the slight advantage and by Toyotaro's own words they are equal. People trying to use instances of Blue Goku "doing well" are ignoring context. When he fought Granola Granola was tired and weakened after getting the shit beaten out of him by Vegeta meaning Blue Goku fought a tired Granola. Not a full power one. We even saw that Blue Goku can't even beat a clone. Blue Goku isn't even doing well against Gas. Gas is just playing with him. Compare how he fought against Goku and how he fought against Granola and its clear Gas is massively holding back
oh my
how the turns have tabled
it's like Goku throwing out his uno reverse cards against Vegeta is somehow a new thing to people here
@scythenger: what feats?
Against a brutally weakened granola, he only countered the pressure point, gas oneshotted him with a normal kick
Against gas? He basically just kept playing chicken with IT, he got stomped otherwise
I'm just going to re-post these two posts to permanently silence anyone who still thinks that Vegeta can contend with Goku. This is easily one of the most one-sided matchups in the history of Dragonball, in which any other opinion other than Goku completely pulverizing Vegeta in seconds is factually incorrect and delusional.
1.
Ok let's cut the bullshit and set the law in stone.
Throughout Dragonball Super, during Goku and Vegeta's training with Whis, the fundamentals behind Whis' training was to enable them to have their bodies automatically move before they start to think, the key principle of Ultra Instinct. Whis repeatedly asserted that being able to grasp it, let alone master it, would provide the user an innate advantage in combat over an opponent. In the manga, it is described as the absolute peak of martial arts, and mastering the technique would allow the user to take on any enemy.
This technique was constantly portrayed as literally the most difficult technique to master, even among the Gods of Destruction. Beerus, who trained with Whis for a million years, failed to master Ultra Instinct by himself. When Goku achieved UI Omen, this was enough to strike fear on all the Destroyers, as they could not believe that a mere mortal could access that technique when they couldn't even master it themselves. Beerus himself pretty much shit his pants when Goku ascended to UI Omen, and gave Goku respect during Goku's fight against Moro, noting that Goku's fighting style while in MUI is angelic and perfect.
In contrast, Ultra Ego is significantly easier to grasp. While it provides the user with the Power of Destruction, Goku himself showed that he does not even need to use Ultra Ego to access Destruction, as during the Black Arc, he employed Hakai to nearly erased Fused Zamasu from existence. Ironically, Goku's feat of Hakai pretty much outclasses whatever Vegeta has shown with the technique, despite the fact that Goku does not know Ultra Ego himself.
There is a reason why mastery of Ultra Instinct is wielded by the strongest beings in the mythos, such as the Angels and the Grand Priest, while users who mastered Ultra Ego and the Power of Destruction such as the Gods of Destruction completely pale in comparison to them.
Put it in perspective: When Beerus participated in the Zen Exhibition Match and held his own against multiple Destroyers at once, was it attributed to his mastery of Ultra Ego, or his ability to use Ultra Instinct? The fact that Ultra Instinct, even if it's imperfect, kept Beerus in the game against overwhelming odds, all the more proves the technique's superiority over Ultra Ego, despite the fact that Beerus mastered Ultra Ego and did not master Ultra Instinct.
Lots of fans love to use Beerus' feat during the Exhibition Match to prove his power, but fail to realise that the very same feat also proves why Ultra Instinct, even if imperfect, is leaps and bounds superior to Ultra Ego.
One common misconception people have is MUI Goku's showing against Granolah, and Granolah's victory is legitimate because MUI should have 'saved' Goku from being caught off guard by the pressure point attack. What people fail to realise is that MUI only helps the user automatically react to threats. The difference is that Goku did not even know that the threat existed until the attack pierced his heart. Goku had no clue that Granolah was concealing his true body, so how can Goku automatically react to a threat that he did not know exist in the first place?
Ultra Instinct is factually superior to Ultra Ego. To deny this fact is to deny whatever teachings Whis taught to Goku and Vegeta during their training. The fact that Vegeta chose to abandon learning Ultra Instinct, and learn Ultra Ego instead cemented his clear and decisive inferiority to Goku.
And if we make this a Goku vs Vegeta matchup, this does not even factor in the fact that Goku mastered Ultra Instinct, while Vegeta's mastery of Ultra Ego is not perfect. It does not take much for one to understand that the fighter who mastered the superior technique is obviously much better than the fighter who has yet to master the inferior technique.
Of course, people are going to claim that Goku is a 'novice' with Ultra Instinct based on his performance against Whis, but overlooked that it is in the context of the accuracy of an already perfected ultra instinct. You can't possibly argue that Goku is a novice with the technique when its contradicted by the fact that he mastered the technique. The real novice of the technique is Beerus.

This is one of the biggest mismatches I've ever seen.
Goku is confirmed to be superior to a Destroyer by default. The only source people use to claim that Gokus inferior to Beerus is the flimsy quote by an unreliable source (he's a graphic designer), and even that interview makes no reference to Beerus' power in relation to Goku's so it does not imply, let alone prove, that it refers to power. If anything any reference to power is flat out contradicted by the manga itself, because the context was improving the accuracy of perfected Ultra Instinct, which does not apply to Beerus because his use of ultra instinct isn't even close to being perfected.
In contrast, Vegeta is inferior to a Destroyer because he admitted that he did not have what it takes to master the Power of Destruction. This makes this a matchup between someone superior to a Destroyer against someone inferior to a Destroyer, which Goku clearly wins by a country mile.
Likewise, Ultra Instinct is depicted as the more difficult technique to master in contrast to Ultra Ego, and the stronger technique overall (since it is wielded by angels, who are significantly stronger than Destroyers). Adding these two factors makes this essentially a matchup between Perfect Ultra Instinct against Imperfect Ultra Ego, and the one who mastered the superior technique the very obvious winner.
What makes this a clean and painless stomp in Goku's favour is the weakness that comes along with Vegeta's form. When ascending into this form, instead of the rational, battle genius minded Vegeta that we all knew, he became completely consumed by his own ego to keep himself in check. Instead of dodging or blocking blows that he would normally do, he would allow himself to tank those hits, deluding himself to believe that he would get stronger from them, and failing to realise the amount of damage his body sustained until it was far too late. By then he was significantly weakened and and every blow from Granolah crumpled him into a ball. This weakness is extremely unforgiving against Goku, whose blows are so powerful that one single blow was enough to send the likes of Jiren and Moro-73 reeling in agony, and Beerus himself noted that Goku's fighting style was angelic and perfect. Vegeta would drop dead before realising the damage he sustained. Goku does not even need to put in any effort because Vegeta would deliberately open himself up to make things easy for him.
So there is no two-ways about this matchup. There is only one fact: Goku stomps.
You are mostly right except for one thing. Goku can not canonically go UI yet because he lacks stamina to do so.
So FOR NOW, UE Vegeta should beat the strongest version WE SAW of PERFECTED UI Goku until we see him use it in-character rn. XD
@jaakor: granola had just gotten a power up. His strongest one. How was he brutally weakened? before engaging fp granola ssb goku had just shoved vegeta out of the way which is a reaction feat and it took energy out of him. So if anything ssb goku had weakened himself before fighting granola who had just got a power up. And he not only countered the vital hits he also took them and reacted to them. He also sent fp granola flying with a punch and made fp granola bleed.
And he didn't just play chicken with gas. There were other feats too.

Ue vegeta lost to awakened granola 2x. And granola was weakened and getting weaker the 2nd time. Base gas is stronger than awakened granola. Bersek gas is stronger than base gas. And current gas is stronger than berserk gas. Ssb goku has fought against awakened granola, base gas and is fighting against current gas. Pui goku is stronger than ssb ui goku.
didn't get to respond on that other thread but Mr Satan was holding back on Goku by the way and wasn't struggling one bit with Goku
I give dragon ball a break this time
About time you did cause it was getting rather cringe derailing threads for no reason other than trolling Warren.
It's not looking good for veggie boy
What's happening?
It's not looking good for veggie boy
What's happening?
Just Goku holding his own with Blue UI
Taking hits from Gas and parrying attacks
Nothing special
Vegeta high-extreme diffs.
https://qr.ae/pvAuWq
he did slightly better vs Awakened Gas and even landed a hit on him in the end. while Goku was getting ragdolled
Based on leaks Geets slightly outperformed Goku against Gas.
I will wait for full chapter to fully analyze it but it's pretty crazy Vegeta managed to tag Gas while Goku in UI - a form that's all about speed - failed to do so.
That also ignoring the Fact Vegete is more durable and took more Damage than Goku Since Goku was dodging more while UE doesn't really dodge Vegeta stated by the end of the leaks that he was getting much stronger from Gas Beating.
If he was slightly outperforming Goku than everyone has to accept that At the time He took that Beating and stated he was getting much stronger that slight Gap is much bigger now.
UE Vegeta>Perfected UI Goku Bare minimal.
I already said this months ago that UE Vegeta was stronger and more powerful and people still was ignoring all the beating Vegeta was taking getting more powerful.
His Form Seems to just increase in power from getting beating up not as big as Brolly but still big enough that he can over take someone like Goku who he already was above.
We can argue Goku may have gotten slightly stronger he was defeated by Granolah pretty badly. While that was happening Vegeta was taking a beating from Granolah in his new form getting stronger.
For Goku to still be only slightly weaker than Vegeta's New form which was already getting Stronger and Stronger Goku would have had to gained an increase after getting fully healed.
With that Said The chapter Made this clear that UE Vegeta>MUI Goku currently.
Vegeta is still getting stronger and stronger as well for the next chapter. Vegeta wins high diff.
Chapter dropped today. They seem relative but Vegeta only got a clean shot in on Gas while he wasn't expecting it. Something to note is Goku also struggles to Toss away Vegeta's Hakai Ball, So you could argue Vegeta is above him in power with that. Unless Gas and Goku had their powers mixed up in it when they were having a power struggle. Vegeta As of Chapter 84, outlasts Goku, High Difficulty.
Gas was playing around. Thought he had vegeta right where he wanted and vegeta was able to get a boost through the damage he took and land a surprise hit on gas. But the punch didn't really do anything. Silver ui goku was shown to be on par with ue vegeta. He took 2 kicks from gas and got stomped on after the 2nd kick.
Was able to dodge more hits. Is in way better condition than vegeta towards the end. Was able to evade vegeta's hakai ball with IT. Is more skillful at using IT. When vegeta fired the hakai ball at gas vegeta needed goku's help to push it. But when vegeta left goku alone he held the hakai ball back by himself and deflected it.
He was also able to touch his hakai ball and was completely fine. He was able to push the hakai ball too. Direct hakai attacks aren't going to work. Any hakai balls will get dodged or deflected. Goku's going to be hard to touch due to ui. And IT. Then there's god bind. And they're on par strength wise. So goku should be able to just wear vegeta down like granola was able to and god bind would make doing that easier.
MUI should win solidly after this latest chapter
The only thing that would hold it back is Goku's mindset, but it is indeed stronger
A ue vegeta who after getting stronger and was even said to be evolving got a beatdown from awakened gas who didn't use any ki blasts, ki related attacks or weapons. And that gas was confirmed to be weaker than omen goku. Then you have a base goku who made a shield that blocked an attack from gas that was meant to kill vegeta. And the weapon gas used broke on base goku's shield. Which was also strong enough to no sell ki blasts from gas. Ue vegeta gets demolished by omen goku. Goku doesn't have to use any ki blasts or his abilities. But if he did the fight would be over with quicker.
@jack_hart: pui didn't get embarrassed. It actually got more hype. Ue and vegeta are what got embarrassed. Ue which is vegeta's newest form lost 3x in 1 arc. And the same arc it lost 3x in was it's debut. Gas even insults ue and vegeta after beating him up. Then you have omen goku beating up the same gas ue vegeta lost to.
Vegeta gets an L just because of the name...Ultra Ego...like bruh
