Without his shield then I think Movie Freeze can take down Movie Cap, but then again if you take away all of Movie Batman's gadgets and just have him standing there with nothing like Cap then I think Movie Freeze could take him down as well

Cap in the film seemed fairly competent. Without the shield? He'd have to sneak up on Freeze, or improvise a way to get the gun away -- don't forget, though, that Cap carried a sidearm, too, IIRC. Even if he didn't shoot to kill Freeze, he could use it to distract him long enough to eliminate the freeze gun. I'd give this to Freeze, 7/10.

Freeze makes a quip with an incredibly thick Austrian accent, getting Cap to halt in wonder about what Freeze just said before getting frozen mostly solid so Freeze has someone to practice bad one-liners on.

@serum: Actually Captain America without his shield is as good as without his shield. He has peak human strength (lifting 500 kg), peak human speed (48 km/hr). Can fight for a very long time due to his body expelling excess fatigue toxins. Also, I don't think Freeze could get a close shot at Cap because of his nigh superhuman reflexes. Captain can dodge multiple gunshots and he will not just stand there to be freezed xD

Other factors that makes Captain superior:

• Being a veteran wars (fighting experience)
• Master Martial Artist (boxing, judo, jujitsu)
• Great military tactician (could think of numerous ways to defeat Freeze)
• Great acrobat
• And of course his freaking INDOMITABLE WILL

Now if you're saying that he is a coward that always hides behind his shield... you're pretty much wrong. He fought onslaught even though he doesn't have that of a great powerset and that my friend takes a lot of courage to do. And even Hercules has stated that he is not a coward...

@serum: Why can't Captain America hurt Freeze? He's pretty much capable. In the movie, he broke the screen of the submarine while underwater... that requires a lot of force since momentum is practically slowed down while under water.

Arnold Freeze was a joke of a villian just as much as Clooney's Batman.

If Captain could break the screen of a bugroth, submarine or whatever it is in the movie then there would be no problem cracking up that armor. Also, Captain America could just get a hold of the gun of Freeze. And batman not evading all of Freeze's attacks is just purely PIS. The real batman has dodged omega beams. And if we're talking about movie versions, Freeze would lose out of his own CIS.

@serum: Are you serious? His acrobatics are awesome, his strength, agility, speed surpass Bruce's abilities, cause of the serum. He has great experience and he has fought enemies far superior to him. How do you think this lame version of Mr. Freeze, or canon Mr. Freeze can take Cap? You got to give him that. He's full of skills and potential. Mr. Freeze wouldn't stand a chance against him. Only one chance for Arni Freeze here. The element of surprise and that's all. And the shield...he doesn't need the shield to protect himself. He uses the shield as a protection for others and a defensive weapon for him. That was the symbolism back then (if you know what I mean), that's the use of the shield nowadays. By the way, I'm not american and cap is definitely not my cup of taste (just in case)...

Plenty of people complained when I viewed it in the theater, and I was amongst those who voiced their displeased opinions. My previous comment was intended to be humorous and illicit a "LULZ", but you took it seriously...

Cap's Feats-
Leaping completely over a fence(Agility)
Busting into a submarine while under water,without his shield(Strength/Striking Power)
Managing to keep up with a car on foot(Speed)
Jumping onto a grenade to save his teammates(Bravery XD)
 
These are only a few of his feats,all done without his shield.The last feat was done before he even got the SSS.

@serum: Next time try to state the actual distance in your OP coz there will be many misconceptions. Like for example the rule where they are fighting in the Gotham museum... the hell would I know the distance between them. Maybe they were spectators who locally bumped into each other and just decided to fight. So overall, I wasn't expecting... I was a victim of poor information.
