They are each put in the same timeframe in a merged marvel movie universe and given the same research facility and funds. Who's smarter and comes out on top?

I really thought Trask's create sentinels feat was pretty impressive considering the technology at the time he made them.
My argument is that he built a functional, non metal, flying killer robot capable of detecting mutants in 1973.
When did Stark build his Iron Man suit 2008 or so? Thats 35 years later with a much higher technology base to go off of.

And the Sentinels of the Future would WRECK Ironman, So, Trask > Stark
@copete: Tony would solo all those sentinels
You mean his dad did?
His dad thought of it, Tony actually executed it. Plus his suits alone>Sentinels so....

Yeah his suits showed good heat resistance in Iron Man 3 alright.
All of those suits were inferior to the mark 6 he used to fight thor. He made all of them in a short amount of time when he had insomnia

No but his suit held up to lightning and hits from Thor so...pretty impressive.
Stark would probably win but people who are saying stomp just like comic Iron Man or something in my opinion.
Stark. Didn't he make infinite/renewable energy? Yeah he takes it.
his dad literally left him a map of what to do. lol he was limited by the technology much like trask. Tony was at a loss of what to do until he looked deeper into what his dad left him and realized they were instructions i thought?

What is are they going to do with prep anyway? We could speculate, but you can only assume make more armor/soldiers, but we dont know how fast they can do that.
We have no idea what limits they have with prep

The shorter time period was meant to favor iron man who did have superior feats in pulling a suit out of his ass.
In the longer run I would give the edge to Trask because he is not as much of an egomaniac. He built a foundation for a system that others could easily improve on even if he was dead. So I think he's a better manager and would be able to work better with a team for the ten year prep to basically make the future sentinels or better.
