Drax easily he would have been able to tank iron mans cannon to the face.
However without Groot there wouldn’t be a stormbreaker
When not considering his emotional outbreak, It would easily be Quill. He was the one that planned out how to take down Thanos in Titan. Plus, his skill, maneuverability and gear gave Iron Man and Spider-Man trouble.
Mantis is the only reason they took down Thanos so her
Star-Lord was a lot more dangerous here than in previous movies. He was smart (except for that time he SPOILED THE ENTIRE F*CKING MISSION TO GET THE IG OFF), well equipped and very good in combat.
@wolverinebatmanftw: hey pal just wanted to say that you should put a spoiler mark in that post of yours
@brownzeus: Thanks for the reminder. I had completely forgotten.
Groot. It was close between Star-Lord and Groot and I was going to side with Star-Lord due to his rather impressive (though unlikely) showing in battle. But then I remembered that 100% of the reason they didn't get the gauntlet from Thanos was because of him. So I gave it to Groot for enduring what must have been some very intense physical pain (but no permanent injury) in order to complete Stormbreaker. Mantis is runner up for being able to keep Thanos still.
@miekskywalker: It was actually implied that Drax likely couldn't have taken Iron Man's repulsor cannon. Not only due to the fact that Strange and Mantis said he couldn't (author implication), but also considering the fact that he overpowered Drax with one leg. Not a good showing for him.
@noone1996: That was a joke bro... I know Drax would have died
@miekskywalker: Gotcha.
Star Lord for sure. His gear and plan was taking on Thanos. He also did pretty well against Spider-Man.
Be for real. Starlord competing with Iron Man was PIS at it's best.
He's half Celestial, I'll accept it.

What does that have to do with anything? The only thing you should accept is my advice to go rewatch Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Drax gets no respect from MCU, he's been reduced to a comedic side effect now, that's bullcrap.
Also, bullcrap how all the GOTG die except for Rocket.
@narutobleachfan: It's not like their deaths will be permanent. Well Gamora's will be.

It makes him superhuman in some ways if you've watched any of the GOTG movies. He really should be able to stall Iron Man with his gear. He didn't damage him or anything, so what's the problem?
I would have picked Quill but he single handily caused the deaths of trillions. Mantis has incapacitating a planet and Thanos to add to her resume.

Still, they should have let Star-Lord alive (so like Tony, would feel immense guilt)
Ok yes, Peter did "screw up" the plan, but we have to consider something. Strange had already went forward in time and saw like over 14 million battles where they won only once.
If he saw the battles and still went with Peter's plan, then he must've saw what Peter was going to do as well when he found out that Thanos killed Gamora. Therefore, I don't think it really matters that Peter broke the calming effect on Thanos.
Like Strange said. "We're in the endgame" and then later on "it was the only way". He knew he had to let certain things happen to make sure the future where they actually win the war would come true.
At least that's how I see it. Thoughts?
Well StarLord’s actual plan to rid Thanos of the guantlet actually worked and they were mere moments away from that. He also seemed to get a nice upgrade in combat.
Mantis was crucial to that part of the plan because she helped keep Thanos sedated. Didn’t really help with anything else though.
Rocket helped give Thor some venting time and was helpful in restarting the forge to create Stormbreaker. Didn’t do anything else though.
Groot used his arm to finish Stormbreaker. Didn’t do anything else.
Drax did nothing combat wise or for the plot. Helped with the Thanos plan though.
Gamora did nothing. She tried to prevent Thanos from completing the IG but unknowingly helped him finish it.
So yeah, Starlord.

That's what I was thinking babe.
@usha: I'm looking forward to seeing the subtitle for Avengers 4.
@rebake: Starlord has literally no. type of superhuman feats. He was never even tapped into any celestial power until he met his dad and all that potential is gone since he destroyed Ego.

Touched the power stone for a little, soaked some hits from Gamora, and took electric shocks that would ruin a normal human. But aside from that, he has good skil, pretty decent reflexes,l and gear. I think it's fine to have him hold off Iron Man the way he did. He's not weak at long range combat and he didn't go h2h with Iron Man.
