Well, PR-MM only controls molecules. Post-Retcon 1, becomes a Cosmic Cube so he's pretty much a reality warper. Post-Retcon 2, he looses a 3rd of his power after releasing himself from Kosmos.

Dormammu is made out of Faltine magic.

Shuma is made out of pure Chaos.

Mephisto out of evil or wrong doings of the universe.

magic, chaos, anomalies and hardened concepts are made up molecules or else pre-retcon beyonder and pre-retcon molecule man wouldn't be such a threat to the marvel multiverse.

there's a reason why these two characters were retconned. they were too freaking powerful that there is practically no story to tell them.

Both Pre-Retcon Molecule Man and Cosmic Cube Molecule Man clear.

Any other version should stop at Dormammu.

Atoms.

Non of these characters have a single atom in them. Non of them even carry a single electron.

@alberto_weskardo: they are made up atoms regardless of what existence they came from because atoms are the basic of everything in the universe. it's fallacious to think they are not made of atoms when all their interactions to this universe implies atomic reactions.

unless you are going to claim they are antimatter, which is even more absurd than what you are currently claiming but then again if they are not matter or antimatter, what are they ? a new kind of matter that you thinked up because you can't explain their existence accordingly ?

@kyrees: Dormammu and Shuma have to magically construct a sort of m-body to represent themselves and interact with 'our' 3D universe. They are not really in the universe to begin with.

@alberto_weskardo: it doesn't matter. if they interact with this universe, they must have atoms unless you are going to claim to me that they are made of entirely of antimatter or ,worse, "matter that fits your argument". another thing, dormammu can't even defeat eternity. if that was a guy made of different stuff than matter or antimatter, eternity can't even handle him then.

@kyrees: Magneto, for example o a few instances came across Juggernaut. In about 3 or 4 events... Probably 5 if you count Kuurth, Magneto's power over one of the fundamental forces of the universe could not affect Juggernaut at all.

Once, he scanned Juggernaut and was surprised not to find any significance of in electron to latch onto to manipulate.

The second time was during the Kingdom of Cain... Magneto couldn't effect Juggernaut directly, so he had to magnetically use Sentinals to slow Juggernaut down.

During the Kuurth battle, Magneto still couldn't do a thing, and almost was killed trying to stop a hammer not constructed with atoms.

Dr. Strange and other characters in Marvel states that molecules and magic are not the same thing. Matter/antimatter (antimatter is matter with the opposite charge) with the energies associated with them can only effect the universe/multiverse which its fundamental laws dictates...

MAGIC on the other hand, does not follow the laws of the universe/ multiverse...

Keep on mind that multiverse is unlike extradimensional.

Extradimension is outside intangable from the multiverse.

How are these guys not made of molecules?

@alberto_weskardo: having no electrons doesn't say they are not made of atoms when there's a whole spectrum of particles that are currently theorized but are cataloged accordingly as atoms. do you know positron, muon, antimuon, pion, phi meson and other weird named atoms that are described in particle physics ? how can you claim they are not made of atoms when atoms are the building block of matter ?

keyword is molecules not atoms. magic is simply another form of energy that may have different combination of atoms.

the four fundamental forces are also the four conventionally accepted interactions. there is also physics beyond the standard model.

@kyrees: For an atom to be an atom, it needs to have an electron. Electrons are the things that bind atoms together ultimately forming a molecule..

@sophia89: This is probably gonna be my last post, but anyway, Dormammu controls the Dark Dimension's Molecular Activity, which is equal or bigger than a normal universe, most people aren't aware of 99% of his other abilities outside of magic.

@kyrees: The Dark Dimension is made of Antimatter, and Dormammu drags power from there.

Also, some sources put The Dark Dimensions out of The Marvel Multiverse alongside with Dormammu's original dimension, but others just outside of the 616.

pre-retcon beyonder killed death and pre-retcon MM fought him equally. fear being unerasable is useless because he's a hardened concept just like death and all his other powers are useless to pre-retrcon MM.

The list is out of order.

After Doom helped him out in Secret Wars, Owen would be able to handle most of these guys. Even if they are made entirely of energy in forms we don't understand, Owen was effecting the multiverse at times. After splitting from the Beyondet, he was more localized, but not less capable.

However, any incarnation of Fear is going to be his undoing, because he fears himself more than anything.

While Dormmy can drag power from Dark Dimension, he still have his own source of power, and was already shown that The Dark Dimension is under Living Tribunal's restriction, which means Dormammu is still inside of the Multiverse.
