Mokichi was going pretty "even" with base, no kure tech raian, and even Hollis acknowledged that Raian had to use Removal to beat him fast enough so he won't suffer damage for the next rounds.

Mokichi would kick the shit out of Kaneda. His record speaks for itself; Kaneda is barely even a mid-tier.

Mokichi doing well against base Raian, is better then Kaneda beat Himuro and getting his shit kicked in by Gaolong

I'm sad to agree with everyone above, Kaneda really isn't impressive, as likeable as he is.
