Thor just after losing his OF
Both bloodlusted, USE all of their powers
Battle takes place in NY
@gizmorino: The worthy one, the one in Micheal Straczynskis line
Hasn't n52 Superman been KO'd by lightning on two different occasions? Once with Ocean Master, and once this December, the name escapes me, KO'd WW too. That will be a major problem when facing Thor whose lightning has much better feats.
@green_skaar: very true, also Thors durability is amazing
If Thor cuts him, like He-Man did to that Superman, then Thor wins, however if Superman can beat him before Thor lands any hit or managed to disable him, then he has a good chance of winning.
However Thor still has his powers, and despite Marvel not showing that, without Mjnoir recently, Thor still has that; so he can still have the advantages of his old ranged abilities.

What are you talking about ? Heman cutting superman when was this >==?
Well i dont see any way for Thor win. due to superman / Tactical ability massive speed. Since Superman hits hard enough i am pretty sure Thor would be disabled and drop his axe and lose another arm . I am not even sure what Thor will do if superman Grabs both his hands and Eye beams him to eyes . Thor has a very slight chances of winning . There is a big problem the ability to Fly and BFR . Superman has this
@green_skaar: The one with ocean master was pis and in wonder woman superman they were not ko they were getting hit by tons of lighting to keep them busy.
Superman. He should be able to dodge Thor's lightning. Outside of Thor's ability to manipulate lightning he shouldn't be able to tag Clark. [Seeing how operates on speeds slower than some street level characters such as Spiderman and Wolverine.] On the other hand Clark should be able to land enough hits to put Thor down at speeds Thor wouldn't be able to comprehend. [The same can't be said for Thor.]
The question shouldn't be whether or not Superman can tank Thor's lightening. The question should be whether Thor's lightening can get through Superman's durability. Superman has withstood blackhole lasers, been inside a blackhole, tanked a continent busting energy blast and tanked mountain busting heat vision from PG just to name a few that immediately come to mind.
The assumption shouldn't be that the characters that have hurt Superman with lightening were necessarily pumping out weaker lightening than Thor, but it should be acknowledged that their lightening hurt a being such as Superman who is capable of doing the things I just listed.
Anyway, I'll just be watching this thread from here on out. I've had my fill of the Superman vs Thor debates. They're fun to read, though.
@adamtrmm: Agreed.

Late response but I believe you're referring to Superman/Wonder Woman #13, where Clark and Diana are continuously struck by lightning from Major Disaster and somewhat incapacitated (though not totally specified), only to be saved by Magog disgusted as a hero called Wonderstar.
Superman basically got knocked out by ocean masters lightning, because it was an Aquaman based Justice League story. He wasn't knocked out the other time in the Superman/Wonder Woman story. Superman could Speedblitz Thor easily and has the strength to put a beating on him.
Thor, assuming he's worthy to wield Mjolnir.

Yeah the same Lightning took out almost all of the Justice League members in basically the same manner even though they all have varying durability levels.

Current Superman should win this, he shook the Earth to its center and all the way to the Watchtower with his punches to H'el, these punches can put Thor down, and given the massive speed difference Thor is not really hitting him even with lightning, Superman flew from Pluto to Earth in seconds lol and speed blitzed Orion, and his durability is certainly impressive as he survived black holes, Superman wins this using combination of strength + speed
Superman has FTL reflexes and reaction time, he easily reacted to and blocked the light coming from Batman's eyes lightning is way slower than light
Lightning is way slower than light, Supes will dodge Thor's lightning blasts
Patently false

Without the hammer he has no chance
Superman
@sog7dc: He's covered the entire world in a cosmic storm and BRB has covered stars when mad enough, I believe thats beyond continent busting.
@green_skaar: The one with ocean master was pis and in wonder woman superman they were not ko they were getting hit by tons of lighting to keep them busy.
It did way more than "keep them busy" IIRC it incapacitated them for quite a while. Also seeing as this happend in action comics #14 :
I see him being one-shotted by a cosmic storm.
@theclassicion: Featless laser beams =/= light, supes is nothing more than a punching bag in new 52, Thor has busted a planet on pannel and Mjolnir is a magical weapon. Supes got owned when he was just grazed by Diana's enchanted tiara.

I thought it was the worthy thor for this battle
@cosmic_lantern: Go back an read that comic and you will see what happen. In supeman/wonder woman they were not KO.
