Humanite is strong enough to be a team buster having manhandled Superman and Martian Manhunter so Essex would have to prep for a way to even hurt him let alone what he'll do for his prep..which by the way has allowed him to take on the JSA and JLA.
Sinister is immune to physical damage, and currently has better TP. Most current UH was a disembodied brain, which the Crimson Avenger shot to pieces (lol) Maybe the New 52 will give him a nice new reboot.
@comic_book_fan: Has Sinister ever tanked a hit from a character as strong as Ultra Humanite or Superman? No? Then strength is most certainly a factor here. And he is most certainly not a more powerful telepath..Humanite has stalemated Brainwave Sr. in a tp battle. The same Brainwave that has effortlessly taken control of the Spectre.
