I figured he'd at least give a fight for a little while, didn't Mordru give Spectre and the JL a little bit of a tough time in one story?  
 
But honestly, given what both have done I figured Mxy has the edge but I didn't think Mordru would get utterly murdered at the same time.

I could have sworn there was one story where Spectre was involved...maybe I'm getting him confused with another story....I know the whole JSA at times he gave a rough time. Maybe I'm thinking Dr. Fate actually...my fault. 
 
Edit, ok I was right but different story..apparently at some point Spectre fought Mordru on GemWorld

Ok, did some more digging and apparently. Spectre did at one point fight him in Gemworld and someone else as well I guess Spectre won or twarted Mordru off....lol give Spectres powers compared to Mordrus

Ok, maybe the info out there is wrong then lol including wiki and comic sites I was linked to apparently...that's just what I read, it said he fought both Mordru and Amethyst on Gemworld....unless they meant "the forces of good vs. evil forces" which is probably the case.
