Penny for your thoughts on this battle?
Metal Bat handily, ONE stated that Metal Bat can take down Dragon Level threats, Dragon Levels would solo MHA.
Statements are useless when you realize the one dragon lvl threat he faced he didn't beat. He also lost to human garou who at the time wasn't even close to certain top tier demon lvl threats.
Metal Bat one-shots anyone from MHA.
What striking feat does he have that suggests he could scratch all might? Or that he even hits as hard as muscular?
@thewatcherking: he lost to Garou after fighting 2 tiger level monsters, 2 Demon level monsters, and Elder centipede ( who no sold Mountain busting attacks without a scratch) Was poisoned aswell, And was about to kill Garou before He got knocked out by his sister(PIS)
@thewatcherking: Statements from ONE/Murata matters a lot and is as good as canon. There is also a statement that if he was around, the monster association raid would've been different.
Elder centipede is no ordinary dragon. He is way strong even for a dragon and Bat wasn't exactly beaten by him. He could still go on and he was getting stronger. Fight against garou was a matter of bad matchup. He fighting style is plain. Garou could easily read and counter. Again, Bat didn't lose still.
One shotting two demon level monsters is an impressive showing.
Not saying that Bat beats Muscular. Just that you may be underrating him.
I'd like to know some feats for muscular before I call it, but Metal bat is... very powerful to say the least.
Even when his hit doesn't land, doesn't touch anything - it creates a shockwave so powerful it cracks concrete around him.
When he DOES hit however, the power of his hits is enough to shatter the earth and buildings around him. He is above 100 ton level when it comes to striking power for sure.
He also has probably the most overpowered battle ability you can imagine, called fighting spirit. It makes him stronger, faster and more durable to longer he fights. In other words - you either kill this guy immediately, or you'll have harder and harder time to even make a scratch on him.
He has incredible reflexes and speed. He can easily deflect surprise attacks and projectiles fired at him at massive speeds by the likes of Garou, who is a massively hypersonic speedster.
When he fights at full speed, he turns literally into a tornado of leathal blows. Unless you are someone as fast and skilled in martial arts as Garou, it's almost impossible to avoid getting hit.
...And even a single hit from Metal Bat equals death, even Garou who can tanked nuke levels of energy projection at this point agreed on that.
In short, Metal bat is not to be messed with. His strenght and durability are easily on district to city level busting level and his speed is over massively hypersonic. He also gets even faster even stronger and even more durable the longer he fights. One confirmed that Metal Bat is one of the only S class heroes who can comfortably take on a dragon level threat and defeat it - which means, he can challenge multi-city/continent busters and still win. That is really high caliber guys. I mean... this muscular guy better be something to dare to challenge this guy.
@thewatcherking: hurting Elder Centipede. The same Elder Centipede that no sold Genos' most powerful beam attack. Genos several upgrades prior to that was capable of blasting holes in mountains with regular beams. Do the math.

I'm not underestimating him,but saying he wins based off a statement is flawed logic when his actual feats don't support it.

I have read the webcomic and the manga, I know what happened.

He only hurt him while hitting him in the face where he was vulnerable,EC no sold his attacks to his body.
Genos' blast hit his body as well, the only attack from Genos that hit his faced was the bladed attack Genos used.
And he didn't blow holes,he just destroyed a mountain top.
@thewatcherking: wrong, the beam hit EC right in the kisser.
The mountain part is also wrong, Genos blew a hole in a mountain they were on and the beam went further and destroyed the top of the next mountain.
And even if it was only a mountain top, that feat would still shit on everything in BnA hundreds (if not thousands) times over.
MB effortlessly one shots, Sea King is enough to one shot, or even Hammerhead.
Basically this.
@thewatcherking: Fair enough. Still EC is not a good reference for a Dragon. Only 4 heroes were said to be able to potentially beat him.
One shotting two demon level monsters is a pretty impressive showing. And that was before his further power ups. His durability feats are even more impressive as you know.
I'd like to see feats from Muscular before going for conclusion.

I forgot about that blast, and I already knew about that in regards to the mountain.
Muscular is the perfect opponent for MB - a meat head who deals entirely in blunt force. I can’t see him putting MB down quickly enough before his Fighting Spirit takes him past Muscular’s level.
Honestly, Metal could potentially one shot Muscular. Best feats are from his fight with Deku. He was easily destroying a portion of the hillside they were on with his punches, but honestly that's fodder level in OPM. Muscular isn't outputting as much as Elder Centipede was throwing at Metal Bat. Metal Bat tanks his punches and beats his head in like he did Melzargard's
