Accelerator is a 16yr old albino who also happens to be Academy City's Superintendent & it's strongest Esper.
"That boy could alter all vectors be they motion, heat, or electricity, so he would not be injured even if he were directly hit by that last resort of a nuclear missile. He would just reflect the shockwave that would blow everything way, the heat that would scorch everything, and the neutrons and radiation that would kill everything. He was Accelerator, Academy City's strongest Level 5."
His esper power is Vector Manipulation. The power to both manipulate & control the mathematical concept/term known as Vectors ( Anything that has magnitude & direction ), coupled with a mind that would put supercomputers to shame.
It has both an Active & Passive use.
"His unconscious reflection was no more than him solving the simplest equations without thinking about them."
PASSIVE: The most common way Accel uses his power. Using his personal reality, which is essentially reality warping on a micro-scale, he's able to create an area around himself that's constantly active even when he's asleep or unconcious. This area is opt-in instead of opt-out & by using his Vector Manipulation, Accel's able to set up a "Whitelist" to allow certain things to enter this area and affect him such as a certain amount of gravity, light, heat, air & sound. Everything else gets filtered out.
Since he's inside his own Vector area, his own blood, electrons & everything else that has any form of movement inside his body; he has complete control over.
Basically the area's been configured to re-Direct any & all harmful vectors, regardless of Strength or Speed, that comes in contact with this area.
If it's not on the Whitelist, it's gonna get re-Directed, sorry pal. Doesn't matter if it's:
- As fast as UV Rays.
- As complex as Dimensional Telefragging.
- Or as powerful as a Universe Busting Magick attack.
It's going the other direction whether you like it or not.
Magnitude & Velocity can go screw themselves for all Accelerator cares.

ACTIVE: This is when Accel actively & consciously uses his Vector Manipulation to achieve a desired result.
Whether it's:
- Applying "imaginary vectors" to a vectorless attack after fully understanding/comprehending it's entire nature.
- Compressing the air to create a city-wide Plasma bomb with a temperature of 10,000° degree Celsius, nearly twice the surface of the goddamn Sun itself.
- Or using the planet's very own rotation to borrow 5 minutes' worth off kinetic energy, slowing down the earth itself to create a Life-Wiping/Extinction Level attack. Achieved with only 50% of his calculating power.
He's also able to amplify his physical stats to retarted levels using his Vector manipulation.
- From destroying a gigantic wall with an ever so gentle finger tap.
- Lightly stepping on the ground and causing a massive tsunami.
- Shaking the whole planet with a kick.
- Or better yet, shaking the entire Galaxy/Milky way with a single goddamn punch.
"The angel had an almost human-like expression of surprise, and in this instant Accelerator took away the vectors from the angel's attack. Gathering the vectors, Accelerator launched a merciless strike straight at the chest of the glasses-wearing angel.
The sound vanished.
The seemingly weightless flying angel was knocked back 300 meters."
He can also "steal" the vectors of his opponents attacks to augment everything I've listed above, making them hit EVEN harder. Ouch.
But arguably Accel's most terrifying application of his power is Remote Vector Control.
- Stopping your blood circulation.
- Frying your brain with your own Bio-Electricity.
- And my personal favorite, reducing you down to the smallest elementary particles by controlling your body's very own Quarks & Leptons, dispersing them in all different directions simultaneously just like he did to Kakine/Kakine's clones made completely out of Dark Matter itself. All achieved with nothing more than a simple gesture, at a distance no less.
And last but not least, Accelerator also has access to stuff not necessarily Vector related but very helpful nonetheless.
- Forced Astral Projection to remove your soul from your physical body.
- Wings that disintegrate matter on contact. Yikes.
- And a companion called Puzzle 545 that installed the 78 Tarrot cards into Accel granting him knowledge & wisdom beyond the goddamn Aeons themselves.
