Megaman if it's standard.

Bowser, if upgrades apply. Star Wand, his cloud flying vehicle that shoots down could really give him the edge.

However, does Giga Bowser count as an upgrade? Or a totally different character? I'd say it'd count more as a special upgrade.

@sideburnguru: I won't give him Giga Bowser, that's overkill. He does get his gear and equipment/resources then. But X can get a hell of a lot of upgrades and stuff from enemies and Dr. Light.

With PIS, Bowser has never won anything.

Well, if we're getting stuff from allies, could we count the Star Rod? In that case, he'd go invincible. With resources, couldn't he also call in King K Rool to lend him some of his minions to the battle front? If Bowser gets that much, I give it to him. If not? Megaman.

Almost forgot his flame thrower and shell spin. Don't know what the blaster would do to his shell. Overall, if Bowser gets the right equipment and upgrades? He takes it. If those don't count? Megaman takes it, in a average battle.

Bowser is a character where he needs that. Love the character, but otherwise he'd be too easy to take down. Hell, Peach could jab him in the face with an umbrella and most likely take him down without PIS.

Except for in Super Mario Galaxy, where he survives falling into a dying star and doesn't really seem all that hurt.

Megaman. not only does he have more weapons to call upon, but i think he is stronger, faster, and more durrable. plus he has the one shot hadoken

Hmm. I have no idea how that even worked. I looked up that scene again, and I honestly don't understand it. Could that be considered PIS?

If he has trouble against the standard lava in his castle, I don't know he survived that.

I always was thinking Mario was the one with PIS, besides I dunno bout Peach. You'd think by now she'd develop Stockholm Sydrome and she and Bowser would be in a secret relationship...but I guess not.

@sideburnguru: It may have been PIS because it seemed cool for him to do it. Either that or everything has been PIS up until then. As a massive fire-breathing dragon turtle overlord tyrant it does make sense that he'd have resistance to fire.

Maybe it wasn't so much that the lava burned him as he couldn't swim -- the walls in the moat were pretty steep.

@wolfrazer It's what we don't know. There's a reason she gets "kidnapped" all the time. Sometimes, Mario just doesn't cut it. Wink wink.

@joygirl See, that's what I was always thinking. He's a fire breathing dragon turtle, why does lava bother him at all? If anything, he should just be able to swim right out of it.

However, in New Super Mario Bros, he turns into Dry Bowser from it. I never got that. His resitance to lava keeps changing, and it's weird to me.

Honestly, none of it really makes sense with Bowser. Hell, Bowser Jr doesn't really make sense.

@sideburnguru: Then again, take a quick glance at the rest of the Mario universe. A super-badass tiny mushroom guy, a princess who may or may not be able to levitate and yet still gets captured every weekend, and a couple of pudgy plumbers who can survive in space.

Depends upon the version of Bowser really. Bowser from the main series can teleport, warp gravity, survive getting chucked into a star and a point blank supernova, effortlessly smash meteors, create shockwaves, manipulate his flame breath for a variety of effects, has an undefined knowledge of dark magic, etc. Bowser from the Mario and Luigi RPG series is a joke character who'd get his butt kicked. Paper Mario Bowser is iffy as he's had his universe threatening moments... and his joke character moments as well.

Any version of megaman destroys bowser without the star wand.
