Loki in mcu isn't that talented of a fighter.

Loki probably. Both will eventually disarm the other and it will come down to H2H where Loki can surprise cap with a dagger

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure I buy the idea that Cap’s all that much more skilled than the likes of Loki and Thor.

After his SHEILD training he has gotten pretty good in h2h.

Cap, but it's a good fight. Loki was holding his own in a H2H fight with Valkyrie. He's no slouch.

Equal stats? Limited to staff and shield? Cap for the clear majority

Steve was more skilled before he got SHIELD training.

@supermanthor: Consistently has beaten Thor in h2h. Only loses when Thor pulls the AoE hammer card. Was beating Cap pretty hard In melee and wasn’t really using his stats that extensively. Loki has the sceptre which makes a disarm on caps shield almost instant. He decimated those 4 dark elves in melee. Loki should take this.

I'm pretty sure Cap's more skilled and given the stats are equalised I'll go with the Cap.

Clearly Cap. Under the assumption durability is also equal, as in some threads it isn't.

Obviously Loki is no slouch in h2h, but he doesn't have feats on par with Steve that I can recall.

Captain America couldn’t do any damage to Loki in the first Avengers movie. Not much has changed.

Loki should be far more skilled. He's had centuries of elite Asgardian training in melee and magic, Cap has trained for a few years on Earth with a punchbag. No contest.
