With or without gear, Sam isn’t impressive and he’ll find a way to lose.

Fodder Karli held him at gunpoint and he was dead to rights. A trained Black Widow, the second best Black Widow, is gonna merk him no diff.

The only actual SS fights I can remember from him are:

-Kicking down Karli who was pulling her punches and had just been shot, then immediately flying away.

-Smacking down a random flag smasher with his wings just for her to get back up, grab him, get disoriented by his trusters leaving him the oppening to kick her down. (This random flagsmasher still got up and ran away after Karli killed battlestar if I remember well).

-Both him and Bucky struggling to take out John Walker (Sam made heavy use of his flying gear in this fight).

Basically, in all his fights against SS, he made heavy use of his flying gear most of the fight (for the exeption of his fight against Karli but she was pulling her punches and had just been shot) and landed a few actual hits on them.

Karli had just been shot by Zemo. If Karli threw a serious punch at Sam, he wouldn't have been able to block it like he did. He would have been sent flying away. We see that clearly in TFATWS finale when she tries to throw serious punches at him, he needs to both block her punch with his shield and plant his vibranium wings in the ground else he would have been sent flying. As for Bucky, she body slammed him using her superior stats. I'd imagine she was actually serious when she body slammed him. Y'know, because unlike Sam who would have been knocked out cold or even killed, Bucly won't be killed if she body slams him on a brick wall. Not to forget her soft spot for Sam.

Yelena fought Natasha and made it a close fight. If Sam isn't winning against Nat in h2h then he isn't winning against Yelena who's close to be her equal.

Imo beating Karli >>> not beating your big sister that’s holding back.(now I wouldn’t of added the sister holding back part, but because you said Karli was holding back with no evidence I thought about Yelenas only real feat, and how serious they actually were.. and I’d say Nat had more of a reason to hold back than Karli.).

Yes. If she threw a serious punch at Sam, he wouldn't have been able to properly block it. He would have been sent flying away. The same thing happened when she threw a serious punch on battlestar and would have happened to Sam in the finale had he not both blocked her punch with his shield and plant his wings in the ground. What more evidence you need to understand that? How can you think the punch Sam blocked from her was a serious one when we literally saw in TFATWS finale how a serious punch from Karli could have sent him flying despite using his shield. He even had to plant his wings into the ground. And yes, she's going to use all of her strength on Bucky because she knows he's enhanced and it's the only way she can possibly take him out (although he won't be killed unlike Sam who's not enhanced and who she has a soft spot for thus wouldn't want to risk the chance to hurt him too bad or even kill him - I don't think Sam would have necessarily been killed since he's very durable but he would have been knocked out cold just like when he was knocked out by Walker - didn't she already said before this entire fight how she didn't want to hurt him?).

Nat would have no problem beating a bloodlusted Karli with her gear (even if it was just her tazer gautlets that shock on contact and she didn't have her Widow bites) and would have no problem kicking down Karli who's pulling her punches and has been shot just like Sam did.

As for Nat holding back against Yelena, I simply disagree. Shoving Yelena into a cupboard literally breaking the cupboard itself in the process, pitting her down on the counter telling her to not resist and nearly choking her out (along all the other things that happen in the fight) doesn't seem like holding back.

@death4bunnies: There's very clear signs for Karli holding back. I don't how you can ignore it but ok if you disagree. That's on you. However, what are the signs of Natasha holding back against Yelena?

I don’t get this fight Sam lost to batroc in there first fight in clear victory second fight was somewhat more even but Sam was still losing so the fact people can think he can beat Yelena is crazy

Natasha really held back in almost all her fights in Black Widow. Trying to remember a worthy person Yelena beat
