Weakened Surtur is nearly featless but honestly Steppenwolf was too unimpressive for me to say he wins.

@darkthunder: Why does it matter if it's steel or not? I don't have to pertain to delusional standards and he has also melted ice, and he held his own against DD's HV which was melting apartments in seconds and he (or Zod) were actually melting through buildings with their HV, this includes melting through shit like glass, wood and whatnot. So he does have feats of damaging things other than steel, not that he needs it anyways since him melting steel literally puts him leagues above Surtur's featless flames.

Steppenwolf, but let's not forget, weak Surtur took more hits from Mjolnir than anyone else in the MCU.

Steppenwolf at least had beating the Justice League under his belt. Base Surtur is only known for losing to a Thor that didn't even realize how powerful he was as yet...

@batman242: I'd say it was close with Thor. The League was handling him fine he was stalemate with them, Clark one shot him pretty much though. Thor and Clark>> any avengers or Leaguers. Taking mjolnir shots is more impressive to me the one Clark punch and getting staggered as badly as he did. Problem for me with stepoenwolf was inconsistent feet's being fairly bad ass then getting powned. While Clark is above Diana and Arthur they were even while Clark was clearly well above

Not all hits from Mjolnir are equal, that's why. The tosses are generally weaker than the strikes are and spinning swings from Mjolnir are generally stronger than a regular swing. Nothing in Thor's fight with Surtur was anything special.

Surtur still stomp.

Weakened Surtur tanking mjolnir multiple times puts his durability above Steps, though there is no way of comparing strength. My guess is if SW had knowledge on removing the crown he may pull a lucky win, otherwise he is melted after tanking fire for a minute or two.

Thor got rid of Surtur with more ease than Supes did with Steppenwolf. I would tend toward Stepp, for once.

TBH both kinda sucked.

Surtur....almost effortlessly.

Are we just going to ignore he tanked a blow that atomized all his followers? Granted, their greatest feat was briefly overpowering Thor when like 8:1; but still.

Then he went on and took some serious hits from Thor; which were shown to fodderize frost giants and destroy that giant Korr monster.

His flames also pushed Thor back through Mjonlir's spin. I mean, his strength feats were non-existent; but his durability was pretty dang good. Plus, Thor was dodging his attack, so there's a good possibility they're strong enough to hurt Thor.

Surtur stomps. And I don't think it's even close. Surtur's fire was moving Mjolnir while Thor was using it as a shield by spinning. That's a big feat by itself. And he also took more than 3 lightning powered Mjolnir to the head. Surtur wins 10/10.

Probably Surtur because the axe really can’t do anything at all
