No flyght,no weapons
No tie in feats
Damn this is a good match.
War Machine. He was able to briefly restrain weakened Thanos and can lift tanks (not a tie in feat, he literally says it in AoU).
Does Rhodey get AI in his suit like Tony? If so, that would help a great deal. Drax might be too durable.
War Machine is probably stronger and a bit more durable, but Drax is definitely the better fighter. I'll go with Drax in a H2H fight.
@mr_shazam0920: Hes >Gamora in strength so we can scale fairly easily and he stomps just with that. He also manhandled Korath.
@kingofwakanda: Good point. I don't remember War Machine having J.A.R.V.I.S. / F.R.I.D.A.Y. as standard in his armor, but he'd probably win with it, analysing fight patters and stuff.
@anthp2000: It would be a very dick move on Tony's part to build him a suit but not put an AI in it. But for the life of me, I can't find it anywhere that his suit has one.
@kingofwakanda: It'd also be a pretty dick move for him to built nanotech for Pepper, Peter and himself but not Rhodey
°-°
@anthp2000: LMAO forgot about that. Rhodey still riding around in his armor from Iron Man 2.
@morpheus_: How dare you bring logic into this?

The hell has Drax done to be in even the same league physically?

Nothing it's a mismatch.
@mr_shazam0920: War Machine restrained Thanos with a Hulkbuster type model right?
While Drax lacks impressive damage output, his durability (forest crushing scene) should allow him to tank strikes from War Machine long enough for him to rip the suit apart bit by bit (his prison-bot ripping feat) until eventually Rohdey have no suit left/disabled. So Drax in a hard fight.
Drax hardly has feats
He can move so slow that he's invisible.
He could stealth neck snap Warmachine.
Not sure how WM doesn't manhandle. Also, (this is my head canon) I feel like stark went through a few phases with his armor. Up to avengers it was more durable/less modular. Took a large step back in durability in iron man 3/civil war for ease of use. Then hit that balance he was looking for with nanotechnology. Rodeys armor was constructed with the durability mindset, couple that with feats and drax ends up a beaten and bloody mess at war machine's feet
Rhodes wins
Rhodey’ssuit suffered no external damage after a hammer toss from Cull Obsidian. Not to mention he scales above CW Tony who could take on two Suoer Soldiers in CQC.
I fail to see how Drax can damage him and I don’t recall his combat speed being significant enough to evade/block blows from Rhodes.
Drax doesn't have many feats but the ones he does have are enough for him to win under these conditions. War Machine isn't all that much without his flight/weapons. It would take him a while but Drax would rip the suit apart.

WM is stronger:
Moves 8 271 ton blades.
Pushes half of a ferry:
It would take him a while but Drax would rip the suit apart.
And way more durable:
Tanks being hit by a tank and creating a crater:
Tanks part of the Sokovia explosion(00:24):
Tanks .50 cal since the Mark I:
Tanks a Vulcan Cannon with the Mark III:
WM scales to pre-IW Iron Man
Even without tie-in-comic feats.
Drax is a hundred tonner with Building level durability, WM is in a whole different tier.
