MCU Thor VS WODC Aquaman and Ocean Master

Fight takes place where the final battle of Aquaman took place (above water on the ship).

Thor is only allowed feats from THOR 1 (2011).

Thor has Mjolnir, both Atlanteans have their tridents.

Who wins?

Thor, easily.

Another decisive win for team MCU.

Obviously Thor because of lightning. Remove lightning and they stab him

Skill wise CQC he did beat up some Shield agents. I dunno about his fight versus Loki, it kinda reveals how Mjolnir isn't the most effective H2H weapon when you take away the lightning.

@rajjar: Thor never displayed any skill with Mjnior ever when he had it lol. It really wasn't until Ragnarok where he fought Hulk where I actually saw some skill.

Thor, he has some insane Mjolnir Striking feats with Lightning.

True, but how does one display CQC skill with a small-handled hammer like Mjolnir, where all you can really do is swing and spin and hope to connect? Like, for fodderizing jotunns/fire demons, he seemed very good at what he was doing.

Where does this misconception come from that Thor isn’t skilled? Dude has more skill feats than just about anyone in the MCU/WODC

@worldofthunder: Thor has bullet timed as well. And when did Aquaman do it? I saw the movie yesterday and he got hit by those bullets. I don’t remember him dodging or anything. I could be wrong.

Aquaman and Oceanmaster

Arthur and Orm showed more skill in CQC so if they stab him they could win and Thor isn't winning against them unless he utilized lightning immediately which he never does.

Thor from his first movie only would lose to these two.

Uhmm, I don't think phase 1 Thor could win even with lightning, tbh. Without the lightning he'd get stomped.

You serious? Now I actually agree with you as relating to the WODC but for the MCU there are plenty of characters with more and better skill feats than Thor. Off the top of my head all of the below are notably to massively above him in skill.

Still Thor. Even with his first film, he still has feats like these. So in terms of striking and attack power, Thor is largely unmatched by Aquaman.

I will reserve my judgement for hand to hand skill until I can find an HQ video of Aquaman to make gifs. I tend to judge skill based off how closely it relates to MMA, and it's impossible for me to remember Aquaman's movements right now. In terms of weapons skills, an interesting observation I can make now is that that the trident spinning water technique is essentially treated as an high level move capable of thwarting another spear attack. This technique can essentially be replicated by Thor spinning Mjolnir. Which is something Thor does in the first film pretty frequently.

And I know what you're going to say. "But Aquaman is mixing in his water powers with his trident spinning". It would be a bit unfair of me to disregard the elemental powers inherent with Aquaman's trident usage. That's a perfectly fair point to make. If we were allowed to use feats from Ragnarok, I'd point out that Mjolnir spin was able to defend against Surtur's fire blast and you can see lightning being generated. Unfortunately, we're restricted to feats from the first movie. So I see your water shield, and I raise you a tornado. Any advantage Arthur has in being able to cause blowback with his shield is largely mitigated by the fact Thor can (1) throw mjolnir and (2) force Aquaman into the skies where he is immobile. An implied advantage from point 2 is that Thor himself can easily just fly out of range of Aquaman's melee. Aquaman might be the king of the seas, but Thor is a god of the skies.

Obdience disks look the same in movie as they did in comics except they were a lot bigger in comics, they used some sort neurotoxins to paralyze the victims and even entrapped silver surfer and again tasing someone doesn't make their viens go blue.

thor wrecks. They dont have anywhere near thor level of physicallity. Might be on similiar level of speed and more skilled. But thor will fry them up with lightning strike.

Thor can stomp. Just depends on how he fights. If he engages in pure melee and they are both trying to kill him he could die.

As far as speed goes, it would depend on where they are. In the waters, Aquaman and Orm can probably swim faster than Thor given that Thor has no swimming feats. On land, well Thor can fly like this.

It wasn't great but it wasn't horrible. There are quite a few things that I think should have been done better but it still was around my expectations. Most of my family hated it though. The only one other than me that didn't was my cousin.

I agree with you that Aquaman wasn’t great. But it wasn’t bad either. Middle of the pack. The visuals were nice.
