Why the salt tho.
Lemme have my entertainment of the two greatest vinersof all time clashing
When Thor unleashed Mjolnir's wrath and destroyed Bifrost, it caused waves through the MCU, culminating into the Infinity Saga. The damage was critical and functionally permanent. Ultimately, it took an Infinity Stone to restore the realm-spanning damage Thor had done to the Tree.
But what is Bifrost? The following model depicts it as a manifestation of the World Tree itself.
Thusly Thor's feat is of cosmic significance and operates on cosmic proportions. But if skeptics think the model isn't enough at face value, then it can be validated by observers in other realms being able to witness it.
The World Tree, known as Yggdrasil, is said and shown to be the WHOLE universe.
The Nine Realms are universes themselves, so the tree that holds them can be understood as a multiverse with its underlying dimensions/planes/realities. This definition allows inclusion of things like the microversal Quantum Realm, Dormammu's Dark Dimension (which has countless dimensions) alongside everything else in Dr Strange, etc. This also fits with the Convergence of said Realms being explicitly defined as the rotation of the universe.
Thor's mighty feat carved a catastrophic splinter into the Tree itself. This inversion of space, time, and reality created enough gravitational pressure to devour the very stars themselves, and per Odin All-Father, would have destroyed anything expeditiously with such extreme prejudice that the sheer force would scattered it across the universe.
Yet there ARE gods in creation that can cause and clash against such awesome power, and they are Odin's sons! Director Kenneth Branagh confirms that Thor vs Loki could have destroyed part if not all of the universe.
Garou blitz cleaves the clown wtf
Didn't you say you'd argue a hill-buster to be boundless last week
@rajjarsalt: Outerversal MCU Thor
@rajjarsalt: Outerversal MCU Thor
Hooray!
@rajjarsalt: I dont tend to care what Directors/Authors say because its straight garbage half the time. However, ur evidence seems shockingly surprising. However, if this is the case, why does thor in the MCU get K.O'd by Hulk and stunned by the technology used in Thor Rags?
Another question of my concern is why did Thor use Hela to fight Surtur if this was the case? Because Surtur destroyed Asgard which judging from what Ive seen could be summed up to large planetary level. Even if we go above and beyond and state it's galaxy level, a universal buster whcih is what you're getting is, seems rather high end for Thor. I think Thor has lows and highs, but from what I'm understanding his middle ground is around Garou's level, but Garou seems a lot more skilled and quite a bit faster.
@merulezall: Rajjar is a troll, don't take him seriously.

Most ironic thing you've ever said, you switch opinions more often than Detective and he was in the CV unholy trinity lol

No worries, m8. I gotchu
This is why it weakens him and why Hulk ends up knocking him out.
It was actually the other way around. Thor uses Surtur to defeat Hela because she's unstoppable while on Asgard, and it is Surtur's destiny to destroy it - he won't die until that happens.
Hela actually wields the power of Asgard as well.
As for Asgard's level...
But yeah I'll say consistency problems exist for any Marvel property.

Whos detective? And i switch opinions because i actually read arguments that debunked mine unlike some/most people on this site who just duck when they have been debunked also what does this have to do with anything i said? Your still a troll, nothings changing that.

For someone who's just conceded to being a loser, you don't exactly have much place to diss the majority of this site for cowardly behavior.
What makes you think I'll do the thinking for you? This is why there are no real debaters among your kind, you expect others to do the work for you, when it is on you to make arguments. You're a nobody, you don't have the status to determine if I'm a troll or not. You are nothing in the face of my nuanced arguments. Thank you.

I knew it hampered his ability as you can clearly see in the movie his lightning was greatly restricted, but his stats being restricted and more believable to be on a more even playing field is a nice touch and that helps further' MCU's Thor's case then.
It was actually the other way around. Thor uses Surtur to defeat Hela because she's unstoppable while on Asgard, and it is Surtur's destiny to destroy it - he won't die until that happens.
Correct, I misremembered that part, but the point remains though. Surtur did die from what we could say is a large planet level explosion. How does that connect Thor who couldn't defeat Hela; also died from large planet level explosion, to being a universal threat or even a multi-galaxy level thread?
I mean let me put it this way, we saw Asgard explode and from that explosion the universe itself didn't seem all that affected by it other than its disappearance. What were the after affects of Asgard exploding?
But yeah I'll say consistency problems exist for any Marvel property.
Most are, which is why I always try to find the middle ground in anything. Regardless, I don't think you're a troll you at least put forth the effort for solidify your reason and when we're done even I may or may not agree depending on the answers and where we find common ground, but I at least want to thank you for explaining it in detail.

No problem! Just wanted to let you know, I am arguing with this specific strategy to get a better grip on it, as it is different from the other sets I have used for Thor. So even I am involved in the learning process as I explain it lol. Thanks!
I think this suggests that Thor actively let Surtur destroy Asgard. And Thor did keep Hela out of commission for a while with his master bolt, but the reason he says it did nothing is because it is said that Hela's powers keep growing on Asgard.
Also, what do you think about this?
I interpret this as Surtur destroying Hela with his sword, as shown here.
And him destroying Asgard keeps her from coming back with her Goddess of Death powers. I have listed a source below that refers to her as unkillable to blades, which has been reflected in the film as well.
Hela's role is more confusing, but she did shank Surtur with those giant magic spears. Hela's magic is capable of draining life force, and her blades are imbued with her necro-energy and are summoned magically.
And she did use necromancy on-screen, which fits with the nature of her powerset. So I think she could have used that to kill Surtur.
However, I will consider possible counterclaims. She could have used her source of her powers (Asgard's power) which obliterates Surtur from existence after he rips the realm apart. Another possibility is the comic roots, where Surtur lays waste to Asgard, and randomly dies while falling mid-air, maybe due to his destiny being fulfilled.
Because Taika had to get it from somewhere, lol.
I think another issue is that Thor himself doesn't have his hammer any longer, and he gets fully powered again in Infinity War.
As for Surtur destroying Asgard -
I do not think Asgard is a conventional planet, otherwise the above cosmic structure that defines Asgard should be next to impossible. So the feat can be interpreted as operating on a greater tier.
And I'll take this opportunity to delve into the cosmology, as Asgard is one of but Nine Realms - and these aren't just planets, but separate planes, dimensions, universes etc.
Asgard's destruction would have great cosmological consequences, I'll cite what Odin said, and I'll cite that narration of Ragnarok's events.
Ergo Asgard getting Ragnarok'd sends the universe closer to its doom, which is also taken from the comics, too. I'd say even Asgard's temporary absence was an event of cosmic proportions...

Yea i actually make arguments and not just constantly troll like you.

Tbh i don't have to, pretty much everyone knows that your a troll, even you know it but just can't admit it.

Arguments? Wdym arguments? I never saw any arguments

Never talked trash, from the moment i entered this thread, i just warned another user not to take you seriously.
If I ever trolled you, you probably deserved it lol
Don't play dumb, you know that you troll in pretty much every single MCU thread, well every MCU thread i saw you in, all you did was troll, i'd be surprised if there is a MCU related thread where you haven't trolled even once.
@rajjarsalt: Great post, Raj.
As much as I love the idea of Universal Thor, its not very logical despite all the handbooks etc. And his scaling is a bit wacky imo, Garou has a clear cut feat of destroying stars, and should also be faster.

Just leave the thread and let the adults talk, lol.

Hello alt!
Alt calling other people Alt is funny
Crazy how Raj only insults when tags aren't working so we can't tag the mods lmao. Kind of a smart move ngl since mods haven't caught him yet but at the same time a cowardly move.
Imagine thinking MCU Thor survives even a single second against Garou. This is the epitome of MCU wank.
It's just Raj trolling as usual thinking hes funny but hes not.

If Garou existed in the MCU, why wouldn't Snyder's sons lowball his gamma ray burst with the same techniques they used to lowball every star-related feat from the likes of Ikaris, Iron Man, Thor, Odin, multiple Celestials, Khonshu, and an honest-to-God Infinity Stone?
It's also crazy how you sought this out - you came out swinging! Calling me a troll out of the blue???? And the moment you take a hit, you keel over and complain. Glass Jawrance at work.

It's a joke, genius
Read my name this time carefully
@rajjarsalt: you could scale him above rocket and the hadron enforcer which was stated in the movie and twice in the guide books to destroy moons making him moon level+
You could possibly scale him above the 2 celestials that were at omnipotent city that watched him supposedly kill Zeus and couldn’t stop him Which would make him minimum planet level because celestials tank that just from being born
Or casket of winters due to Odin saying mjolnir power has no equal
And didn’t Loki survive a black hole that sucked up stars when Thor destroyed the rainbow bridge
Hela called the casket of winters utter trash but only said the tesseract was not bad the tesseract I believe was stated it could destroy the world
Scale him above marvel who was stated to be able to punch away moons
Probably a ton of more scaling you could do
@darkphantom9895: Bruh even then Garou still one shots
