Thor in Thor 1 would kill Fenris like he killed the giant monster that the frost giant’s unleashed. Mjolnir’s power is enough to penetrate the wolf, or repeated lightning blasts will fry him. In a brawl, Thor would need his lightning powered punches in order to pummel Fenris. I don’t think he could wrestle with Fenris and survive like he did in the comics.
Honestly this is a tricky match in which I might lean towards Fenris on average because all he needs is one solid bite on Thor and hes either dismembering him or chomping him in half while Thor will need some of his best charged attacks to pull the beast down since it could go toe to toe with the Hulk.
Thor with either hammer might be versatile enough to win. With Stormbreaker I think he's got it.. But if he were relegated to hand to hand like Hulk was, he'd lose for sure
Avenger 1 did Thor so dirty because he struggled to fight off Loki and even with Mjonir and lightning was barely winning agaisnt Iron Man and had no advantage over Hulk . That's probably why people underestimated Phase 1 Thor that much . If this was posted in like 2016 or before , Thor would be voted to get stomped.
But looking back at it , Thor seem to be holding back in all of these fights , especially in Loki's and Iron Man's case , and Hulk as well to avoid bringing down the Helicarrier.
Realistically nothing is stopping Thor from nuking the shit out of Fenris like this :
