This is likely a close matchup. Location and starting distance may make a big difference.

They have both fought Hulk, with Thor clearly handling him much better. Blonsky didn't last too long once Bruce got serious.

Thor likely has a slight edge in durability, stamina, and strength. Blonsky, as far as I can remember, has a clear edge in training, although Thor seems to have been fighting strong monsters back home for quite a while. They are both arrogant and at least a little hot-headed.

If Thor can take to the skies and continually fry Abomination, I don't see him having a counter to that. Thor 9 or 10/10, unless there's the location is fairly enclosed, and even that might not tip things enough Emil's way.

Thor wins with Mjolnir but loses without it. Blonsky was stomping Hulk during their fight, and would've killed him if it wasn't for Bruce seeing Betty in danger.

I think Abomination can win majority. He was really fast and he kicked hulk completely through a building. If he can do that to the 1000lb Hulk then Thor is gonna fly much further than he did when Kurse smacked him into that side of the mountain.

That and Abomination is really good at what Thor is weak to physically beating him down and staying on top of him. Abominations kick was surprisingly fast too. If Thor fought him out of character and just spammed lightning he might take it. Abombination wins 8/10 IMO.

With Mjolnir Thor stomps. Has better striking power and lightning along with flight. Abomination has no counter to it. But Thor is most likely physically weaker than Abomination. Thor struggled to physically fight Hulk. He summoned Mjolnir and yet he wasn't winning although he started to perform better and didn't use lightning against Hulk. Abomination is stronger than Base Hulk. He clearly had an upper hand. Hulk only won when he got angrier after watching Betty in danger. Without Mjolnir Thor is dead.

Marvel really needs to come through with Thor in Ragnarok. He needs to shown to be worthy of the title God of Thunder.

@ready_4_madness: Then Iron Man's suit was strong enough to tank it. Iron Man has different types of suits, with different power levels. And here's the thing, Thor was damaging Iron Man while Iron Man completely failed to damage Thor. He shrugged off every attack, while Abomination has literally no impressive feats at all.

@mee09: A horribly weak version of Hulk, yeah. This was the same Hulk who was getting staggered by grenade launchers and was hurt by weak attacks. Thor could literally make short work of Abomination

@ready_4_madness: And? Just because they feared him, that version of Hulk was suddenly powerful? Is a bully powerful simply because the victim is afraid of him? Furthermore, having every Avenger except for Thor doesn't really say much.

Name some good feats Norton Hulk had, because I see no reason he wouldn't be one-shotted by Thor. Even then, this battle is about Abomination vs Thor so why don't you explain why this is even close? What's to say Thor doesn't one-shot him with lightning like he did to the leviathans, who are much more durable than Abomination and Hulk? What's to stop Thor from striking him with his hammer with the power he struck Malekith with when he caused a huge shockwave?

This isn't a close match. Thor's got the feats to suggest he can one-shot Abomination while Abomination has no feats to suggest he can even hurt Thor.

@bomberman1404: are u being serious? even loki could hurt thor. Thor's fight scenes look like power rangers fighting, his 'powerful' hits have context involved

@DammeFavour: Cmon dude,I'm aware of how weak Thor is in comparison to other high tiers, specially DC's, but that doesn't mean you can't give credit where credit is due. His hammer strike against Malekith was all Thor, no context making that strike happen. A strike like that is sure to one-shot Abomination

Rufallo Hulk tanked a building collapsing on him while Norton Hulk was dazed by grenade launchers and Abomination throwing him through some metals and through the streets. There's a huge power difference between Ruffalo and Norton Hulk, although the same character

@ready_4_madness: Honestly, for me it's way more impressive to one-shot a skyscraper sized being that can cut skyscrapers in half by flying through them, than beating up someone whose best feat is tanking an RPG and smacking cars away.

Thor Ragnarok suggests Thor can fight Hulk without Mjolnir. With it? Thor absolutely curb-stomps.

Thor had several handicaps during his fight with the Hulk.

1. He couldn't fly.
2. He couldn't use lightning.
3. He couldn't use Mjolnir to the best of its abilities.
4. Had Thor went all out he would have destroyed the Hellcarrier.

But why did they handicap Thor?

To make the fight even.

Why did they take Thor's hammer away during Ragnarok?

@requiemmother: we still don't know how ragnarok fight goes. From their first fight, thor is physically inferior to the hulk and their entire physical fight can't destroy the helicarrier.

Plus thor has swords in ragnarok, far superior weapons to hammers in combat

@ready_4_madness: Thor was clearly holding back when he fought Iron man because he didn't want to kill Tony. Like someone else said even holding back he was damaging Tony's suit, and Thor shrugged off everything Ironman was throwing at him.

Thor wins. With Mjolnir he can hang with Abom up close but also has the advantage of ranged attacks and greater mobility with flight.
