MCU: The Defenders vs Drax the Destroyer

• Current versions at Full Health
• Standard Gear (Matt gets his Billy Club, Drax gets his Dual Destroyer's Knives)
• Morals Off / Bloodust On
• Battle takes place in the streets of New York, right outside the Royal Dragon

With all these GoTG vs Defenders threads popping up, can New York's finest heroes take on the mighty Guardian?

If you consider that one feat of him getting dragged behind the ship in GotG 2 they probably can't put him down.

Curious as to what people think of Drax staggering Thanos by hitting him on his boot with a knife slash.

There was also a Gamora vs Defenders thread these days.

I guess he could win...it all comes down to whether or not you think his knives can pierce Luke, but seeing as he already shown resistant to alien material I wouldn't count on it.

Anyone can stagger Thanos, he isn't immovable. Even Cap held his hand back. Not impressive, not a real feat.

Same exact thing here, if Thanos was going all out they'd all be turned into ribbons like he did to Drax and Mantis on Knowhere.

@jayc1324: Well, when Steve hit him, it did little to nothing.

I just figured the writers wanted all the heroes to shine, so they purposefully nerfed Thanos a little to give us longer, more entertaining fight scenes. Wouldn't be interesting to watch Thanos pimpslap everyone effortlessly, even though he logically should, based off of how easily he stomped Hulk. Also, the fact that he had nearly all Infinity Stones by that time.

On topic, I'd say Drax. None of them are strong enough to get through his durability.

Drax eventually wins.

Defenders can't put him down. Drax wins after an extended battle. Luke will be the hardest to put down.

Daredevil and Danny could probably put up a fight in the same way AoS people do against Kree or whatever, with Luke running support and Jessica getting out the way by dying immediately, they have a shot.

@anthp2000: Back of the knee is a weak point that doesn't take much to effect. I remember in school we would screw with each while standing around by lightly pressing on the back of the knee and it would make the persons whole leg give out.

Defenders don't have the output to put him down. Though would give him a good sluggin match

Iron Fist may have the potential to knock him out, but I highly doubt that. This is the same Drax that got hit by a spaceship among many other things, without so much as a scratch each time.

Are we really comparing Thanos' biology to that of humans? Proof that Thanos also has the same weak spot that people do?

Drax getting his head blown off by Iron Man was treated as a total certainly by Star Lord who didn't even know how powerful Iron Man was. I don't think the writers see him as as durable as people here do.

Drax surviving hyperspace and a reentry crashand literally laughing it off and asking for more is ffffffffaaaaaaarrrrrrr beyond anything the Defenders have shown. They cannot put him down. He is IMO a better fighter than any one of them. And he doesn’t need his knives to drop Luke at all. Luke can be hurt by simple blunt force trauma, and Drax plays in a weight class above what Luke is usually hit with.

Note Fiege thinks Luke could take a blast from Iron Man.

that wasnt standard repulsor. That was more like what he hit cull (who didnt even get pushed back by regular repulsors) and possibly Thanos with iirc.

That it was Iron Man doesn't matter; Star Lord was the one who said Drax would die and as far as he knows Iron Man's repulsors are no better than run of the mil laser guns.

Star Lord said it to IIRC, but you're agreeing with my actual point: they have no idea how powerful Iron Man is, so assuming without a doubt he'd kill Drax is suggestive that Drax's durability isn't considered a big deal in universe.

Eh I´d bet that a full IF shot could KO Drax...

Drax is invicible and only Mantis can see him.

I'm not sure what the base requirement is for knocking Drax out, he lost consciousness from the ship crashing into him and it's an amazing survival feat for his tier.

Drax stomps, they can't harm him at all and he can one-shot all of them except Luke, whom Drax has a physical superiority over.
