With the time stone he beats everyone probably since he would just stop time and then turn everyone into ribbons.

If he doesn't use the time stone however he gets beaten at 1.

In character he probably stops at Thor.

We need to be more vocal, because Thor >> Thanos is becoming the common consensus.

Might stop at 4. Definitely stops at 5. Of course if the Vineforce is backing Thanos, Surtur automatically becomes useless because reasons.

May stop at 4 if Thor goes for the head. Otherwise he clears. IG seemed to have power over everything except Stormbreaker.

People still forgetting to equalise speed?! Stops at Superman who snatches the gauntlet before Thanos can even react to close his fist.

Thor has always been overrated here. Now that he's done some incredible things, it's a lot harder to overrate him, and yet it's still done. Blows my mind.

I think Thanos clears this one if he doesn't job to the Avengers. It is hard to do so in this thread, as most of his jobbing centers around him using Power Stone attacks.

Thanos was jobbing with that Infinity Blast, and then there was plot necessity as well.

He has the perfect set of stones to beat any MCU character. Mind and Soul stones are nigh-useless in combat, and Power Stone isn't that good for the higher-ups in this thread. That said, the Space, Time, and Reality stones are several tiers above the other ones because of how broken powerful they are, to the point where being unable to manipulate Stormbreaker won't matter since Thanos can't go for in-character energy attacks anymore (no Power Stone).

He can stop at 1.

I mean Thor quite literally was inches away from killing Thanos with the full IG. If you want to believe that Thanos would use his versatility to win if it went down again than fine. But acting like its unreasonable for someone to think Thor wins is just wrong. He quite literally stomped him in seconds last time they fought.

OT: Thanos's best shot would be using the reality stone to its full potential. Whether he actually does that or not I don't know.

You're not wrong, but now that Thanos knows what Thor is about, that's not happening again. I think they could fight 100 times and it wouldn't happen again. Nobody beats Thanos… twice.

"Headcanon" - Thanos has way too many ways to defeat Thor. First off, he's far more powerful and durable. He's got the reality stone where he could turn him into bubbles if he wanted. This stuff isn't headcanon, stop using that statement for everything. Thanos wasn't trying to kill anyone throughout pretty much the entire movie, instead allowing the snap to do his bidding. Also not headcanon. Thanos with only the power stone stomped Thor and Hulk. Also not head canon. Thanos put his finger through Vibranium. Not head canon.

Thor IS capable of killing Thanos. Not headcanon. The likelihood of it happening, especially now, is miniscule. I think it's safe to say, that's not headcanon. In a group setting that'd be different. One v one. He doesn't stand a chance.

I don't agree. The only bit that was a blindside was the lightning which didn't seem to hurt Thanos at all. He got up immediately and fired a direct beam of energy from every single Infinity Stone straight at Thor. He had several seconds of time to try and stop Stormbreaker or Thor before the axe reached him. It just didn't work out for him.

Ultimately Thanos tried to attack Thor and ended up getting his chest caved in instead. He legitimately lost. That's just what happened.

Jobber Thanos(Titan Thanos/Wakanda Thanos), stops at 1.

The one who toyed with the GOTG and really used the power of his gems can easly clear.

Thanos' only hope would be to time stop, and BFR. But that's out of character. Unsure.

I don't know about Thor beating thanos under these conditions. Thanos knows what stormbreaker can do so he might use the gauntlet more intelligently this time, rather than just a straight beam.

Thor would easily beat thanos without the gauntlet though.

@the_hajduk: I don't see what counter thanos has to stormbreaker. With the gems he can do something maybe but without them he can't really stop it from killing him.

He'll snatch Thor out of the air and take the damn hammer.
