The Mad Titan has Power, Space and Reality Gems
Versus
Dormammu
Who wins and why?
Dormammu is a magical cosmic entity that can already warp reality, Thanos can't do anything but die or surrender the gauntlet then die.
Full gauntlet would do something, but three is not going to work, gets stomped like Strange
so movie Dormammu > movie full IG Thanos am i understand correct?
We have to go off of feats here; and dormammu really doesn't have many in the MCU unfortunately. Thanos takes it

You be the judge of that.

Isn't Dormammu pretty featless in Dr Strange?
I think Dormammu is his dimension. He is literally the fabric of an entire universe, conscious, and he has all that power at his disposal.
Dormammu. To win Thanos would have to essentially destroy an entire universe/dimension and the stones have no shown that power individually. Space and reality stones are useless, his only hope is that the reality stone can do something.
@rl4: strange didn't beat him conventionally. Time stones hax was specific in defeating dormammu. Strange got repeatedly stomped to beat dormammu. Meanwhile strange had an even fight with the gauntlets abilities WITHOUT the use of the time stone. Thanos ended up relying on brute strength to take out strange. Dormammu should stomp

Agreed, within The Dark Dimension, he is.
So this would inevitably be a prep battle since neither Thanos nor Dormammu can directly interact with each other immediately. Dormammu's entire goal is to get himself into that dimension. This would be a long war but I 100% back Thanos.
Dormammu easily. Without Time stone you can't even scratch Dormammu.
The movie made it pretty clear. The only aspect of existence that he can't control in his universe is Time because Time doesn't exist in his universe. There is probably no entropy in his universe as he is the only thing that exists and hence no time. In other aspects like power, reality etc. Dormammu is universal in his dimension. Thanos couldn't harm him with even the other 5 stones because in his dimension, Dormammu is omnipotent.
Kind of misleading statement... the whole point was that Dormammu had never come into contact with the concept of "time", thus wasn't able to stop Dr. Strange from putting him in a time loop. That situation only applies to a specific condition, where one can manipulate time itself; something Thanos can't do here as he doesn't have that stone.
Regardless, Dormammu is kinda featless outside of being the typical "threat to the universe"
Aether was threatening the entire Universe via Anti-matter. Between the Reality, Power and Space Stones this is closer than we think.
I'm pretty sure Thanos could destroy Dormammu's dimension with the reality stone, so he wins.
You mean power stone? Reality stone turns objects into different objects. Power stones is for destroying the planets, space stone is for teleportation and levitation which he can throw a moon with it.
Dormammu yielded because of time loop. He didn't lose to Strange. Thanos won't do an infinite time loop, he isn't trying to save anybody. Thanos has no way to actually hurt Dormammu, Dormammu is an abstract entity.
@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: That was Aether Reality Stone as far as I remember, Gauntlet Reality Stone may not do it.
Dormammu
Dormammu killed Strange time after time with ease. But eventually he gave up. That's like debating with a idiot. Eventually anyone will give up and put him on ignore.
@azrael1973: debating with stubborn wankers idiots is at a level higher
Isn't Dormammu pretty featless in Dr Strange?
The gist I believe was that he's pretty much omnipotent save for one thing: he has no concept of time and the realm is without it.
I would say Dormmamu takes this.

All he did was throw stuff at Strange like a broke ass Magneto.
I don’t really remember what Dormammu can do, but if he’s as good as these guys say he is then I guess Thanos goes down hard.

He was shown on screen destroying a planet:
First one happened in real time. Guidebook also states he's absorbed entire dimensions.
