The Superman wank here is extreme. Thanos fought against avengers and Guardians and only sustained a scratch on his cheek. Enduring a plane crashing i him at full speed and the crash of a moon. This was after he had pimped hulk without even using any stone.

@xzone: Not really man, I am sorry but Superman's combat speed is very iffy. In JL he might be moving a few times the speed of sound.. maybe. We don't have a scale for how fast Flash was moving in that fight. But his stopping WW was nothing as she was moving at human speeds to clash her bracelet (A move he had seen so knew what it was and how to stop it.)

And of course his Mach 900 and Infinite speed punches are straight up BS. His only shown speed in hand to hand is below Mach 1 (cone ahead of his fist means its not going faster than the speed of sound) and his Mach 900 is so badly cut up with shots of other scenes its impossible to get an accurate time without it being purely wank.

@thealmightykue: Even is you say clark’s Combat speed is Mach one (which is untrue, it’s FAR higher) that’s better than Thanos combat speed, and Clark can indeed blitz him, AND this is in character, which means Thanos won’t be trying to kill him

But didn't Strange's cape, Spider-Man and Iron Man prevent him from using the Stones? It didn't seem to disable any speed advantages then.

There’s literally nothing but speedsters.... And when it comes to the MCU and the DCEU/WODC... There’s a huge difference in speed... Everyone in the MCU are like statues compared to DCEU characters. And don’t even bring up QS because he’s still fodder.

@xzone: I rewatched IW a couple of days ago and cap too a PG blast to the face and was only Koed. It was right before the scene where cap was holding back thanos’ hand for a few seconds. I know you think superman wins, I was just letting you know.

Well to be fair we've never seen him amp himself with the power stone, hes always fought at a base level, so really its speculation to try and estimate a percentage to him winning or losing since he hasn't used it, however the difference in speed isn't going to make a huge difference especially since thanos has the space stone, which he could just use to shield and teleport himself when needed, superman blitzing him isn't exactly going to work, he would have to try and throw thanos into the sun which again wont work since he can teleport

What proof do you have that he allowed it to happen? The team theorized that he needed to clench his fist to use the Stones' power and in practice, it turned out to be true as that's all they had to do to prevent him from using the Stones.

Do you know the limitations on the shield's strength?

Supes and it really isn't even a fight.

Thanos is way too slow and he never showed a way that these gems would win him the fight against someone on Superman's level.

I loved IW but people seriously wank the crap out of Thanos. He is far too slow to really do anything here.

Well the movie obviously wasn't inconsistent, there were times where he was able to use the stones without clinching his fists, unless of course they never showed that on screen

If that were the case, he'd have not bothered ripping the cape off and just mentally communed with the Reality Stone to turn it into mush or just teleport away from it, or burn it or make it expand until he got his hand free. If we take your claim that he can use the Stone with his mind alone, then that scene shows just how inept Thanos is since he had many options to get his hand free that didn't involve struggling with the cape.

Now what proof do you have that he allowed it all to happen?

People keep bringing up the power stone and Clark's speed. But people are overlooking one crucial thing. The space stone.

Thanos literally controls the space around Clark. And that will negate Clark's speed. Thanos could easily just increase the space between him and Clark and nothing Clark did would succeed.

Even when Loki attempted to sneak attack Thanos he was able to stop cold the knife thrust using the space stone. He was even able to grab the space around Strange and fold it in on itself.

He also managed to phase Hulkbuster out of normal space and fused him into the side of a mountain.

He even used the space and power stone in conjunction to surface bust a moon.

Thanos wins this fight with just the space stone. The power stone makes it a stomp.

Another decisive win for team MCU.
