Surtur easy. Surtur killed Hela who was above Supercharged Thor. Considering a Supercharged Thor can almost kill Thanos with a FULL Infinity Gauntlet, this goes to Surtur by a mile.
Thanos probably isn't going to see Surtur and assume that is isn't a threat. He'll know he needs to take him seriously. And Thanos can easily kill Surtur if he wants.

On one hand, Thanos almost got beat by a team of b-list avengers. But on the other hand, the ig is op. I’m not sure. Leading words Surtur though
Dr. Strange and Iron Man are extremely powerful. None of the others are exactly weak either, though there's little Drax and Nebula could do but stall and tank attacks. Mantis can shut down a Celestial and Spider-Man's webs are useful.
This before or after Surtur got the living flame-amp or whatever it was, haven't seen Ragnarok in a while, like is this Surtur in his realm or on asgard? @cryomodeste

He is right, Strange was the only powerhouse avenger present there. IM, while impressive didn't do jack. Do you think IM can take half the punishment Thanos dished out to the Hulk? Imo, Strange, Thor and Hulk are the only top powerhouses and the rest are B tier and fodders.
@tightskin: Strange's shield completely shattered with one kick from Thanos, he can't take up close punishment like Iron Man can. So Hulk can get beaten horribly by Thanos in a one-sided fight but then when Iron Man gets defeated despite making Thanos actually use a stone and bleed, he's a B-tier? Please.
Prime Surtur was so powerful Thor didn't even bother to try to fight him... nuff said
Thor got wrecked by Thanos. Surtur is a plot device he literally has one feat, his durability is poor and offensively he doesn't offer much.

How was durability low? Hulk hit him which moved his head a bit. You can push me but that doesn't mean it hurt, there was no damage or lasting effect just nuisance. Hela tried vain attempts to stop surtur with her giant swords but they did nothing just as hela can get stabbed to no affect. Nothing to do with durability in the way youre implying unless it actually injures them. His mass size offers incredible strength he has a flaming sword which shoots flames as seen in the opening fight in ragnarok, powerful enough that thor didn't just tank it but had to block it

Exactly. Everything thrown at him staggered him. Thor ain't that impressive he gets taken out by shock collars. HE only won because he literally had to do one thing to win.
Thanos. People don't understand that Thanos wasn't deliberately trying to kill everyone on Titan. He was just trying to get the time stone from Doctor Strange. They were more annoying than they were an actual threat to him. Iron Man essentially gave him a small scratch by the end of it. That's it.
Mantis put a Celestial to sleep. The fact that she struggled putting Thanos down fully is an insane feat for Thanos.

Surtur one shoted Hela and Asgard at the same time, Thanos with a full IG was caught of guard and nearly killed by one blow of Stormbreaker and would have died if he didn't snap away from thor..

Thanos with the power stone alone could also one-shot Hela and the reason Thanos was caught off guard by Thor is that he just put the gauntlet on and it was taking a toll on his body.
@ccbm2208: He didn't just use two stones here, every stones are supplementary to other stones so the more stones the stronger each they are, exponentially. I don't believe he could destroy a moon with two stones but still enough to beat Surtur.
